Received a call from 'Steve Jackson from NRS'. Looking to contact someone I once knew. I did not bother to call back after checking with other calls that referenced this number - 716-478-0827.

Received a voice mail - believe it was "Steve Jackson from NRS".  Called my cell but was looking for my husband about a "small claim his office had received".  Know this is a scam because my husband doesn't have any outstanding debts in his name as he doesn't handle the finances.  Have received several calls like this from similar numbers over the past month - some claiming a process server is on the way.  They never show up.  This is unfortunately what happens when you do business over the internet.  I guarantee if you have an actual debt with a legitimate company, they will absolutely get a hold of you and let you know exactly what you need to do.  All of this subterfuge is not necessary for a legitimate debt.

Keep calling making threats of lawsuit and getting 1099 form. The company there claim to be collecting for never heard of the are people are so evil to be scamming people just trying to make it. I reported them to the Attorney Generals Office they are starting an investigation into their practices. Caller said name was Steve Jackson.

Mr. Jackson called my job and cell phone repeatedly.  He left a voicemail today advising his client would pursue legal action, verify my employment and perform an asset research report to collect on my debt with Western Sky (AKA Cash Call). I'm fully knowledgeable of my payday loan rights and know that payday lenders are prohibited from calling debtors place of employment and trying to recover collection debt from assets they do not have express permission to sell or retrieve.  Companies like NRS use scare tactics to collect on debts they purchased for pennies on the dollar.  Just remember they are in business for profit and will use any means necessary to scare you into paying the full balance of your original debt.

Steve Jackson called from NRS in NY for my ex-husband.  He says it is regarding a claim filed in his office.

Got a call from this number. This is a collections agency. National Recovery Solutions. Steve Jackson is the person who called. He was very nice, but still don't talk to these people. Report them. They claimed to have purchased some zombie debt from another collection agency in California. The collection agency in CA committed numerous violations of the Fair Credit Collections Act. However, they were smart enough to sell the debt to National Recovery Solutions. Why play these games. They have a toll free number 866-421-2969.

This jerk called my sister-in-law, how he got her number is beyond me.  He stated his name was Pete Jackson, left a claim # and said I needed to call ASAP.  What an A--hole.  I will be sending out a Cease and Desist letter demanding he stop the calls.  Don't even know who the hell he is.  He must have been the jerk who called my job as well.  Remember we don't have to deal with this, send them a Cease and Desist letter demanding that they stop all communication with you immediately.  Send it certified/return receipt.  Keep all notes if they still contact you.  Make sure to let them know that you are also informing the Federal trade Commission on the matter.

Got several calls from this number.

I received a message as well from this Steve Jackson so I called back.
This is collections.  Its not a scam, the company is NRS or National Recovery Solutions.  They had a HSBC credit card of mine.  All the info they had was correct.

Didn't catch his name but "Steve" sounds right.  Said he was with "NRS" and a claim had been filed, yadda, yadda, same information given by the gentlemen above me.  This could be a company that buys defaulted debt or a scam...my money is on both!

He said his name was Steven Jackson and this is concerning a Breach of Contract claim that has been placed in our office. I need to contact you regarding this claim to see what your intentions are regarding our client. Before this goes before a legal review, i would like to give you the opportunity to clear this up voluntarily. Then he gave a claim number and said to call 716-478-0827.

I am not aware of any Breach of Contract claims.  If this was a debt collection, he did not say.  UNKNOWN IF THIS IS A SCAM.

For me his name was Steve Jackson.  Told receptionist he was calling about a legal issue and unless called, lawsuit.  Called good friend a couple of weeks ago too.  Also believe scam.
