this guy did the same exact thing with me. not only could he not verify my SS, he was a complete idiot and jerk about. these  people are scammers and should be arrested:)

I received a phone call from this number at 7:30 after they verified my name she hung up.

Some guy called claiming that he's been trying to get a hold of me for months now.  Apparently I have a $17,000 balance on a Mastercard opened in 2001.  I was 11 in 2001.  He asked me for the last four digits of my SS to match it to the one that was provided when it was opened and insisted that it was totally legit.
