We received a phone call from this company asking us to go next door and give their number and extension to our neighbor.  They said they had been trying to call and normally can get through, but since they couldn't reach our neighbor's they were worried something was wrong.  So they called us, the next door neighbor stating that it wasn't an emergency, but they just wanted to make sure everything was okay and asked if we would tell our neighbor to call them...  how nice of these scum!

Only people who  have the time to complain on these sites,  are debtors. Pay your bills people and stop running from Collectors..  and stop making up lies too to get  your debt paid for. The collectors wouldn't call your family members if you would be a man and take your own calls..

A woman called from this number today. She actually used an 800 number. I told her that WA state is a closed border state and they had to have an office here to call me. She said they did and gave me the number 716-614-7500 Ext. 4259. LOL That's in NY. She said her name was "Jamie." Obviously she thinks I'm stupid. She said the name of the company was IC Associates.

I'm actually curious if they plan to call me back since I got her on the law here.

I still received a call looking foa a family member. He has nothing to do with me, they are just playing games to reach him. They are arrogant and jerk offs who talk crap. I was told it was a Miss FLick calling. When I called back I was given a different name (same person though). I owe them nothing and they have no right to call me, or my relatives neighbors. Jill Morgan called my elderly parents and told them my credit history. She told my mother that I was going to be sued unless payment was made by 4:00 that afternoon. She wanted my mother to pay off MY debt with her credit card.  When I spoke to Jill, she told me I was going to be sued and would be served papers at my place of employment.

716 635-9550  A BUNCH OF CON_ARTISTS

Look for those of you who are saying "pay your bills" you have no idea what the person being harassed is going through or what the circumstances are for this issue. My ex-husband ran up over 15,000 dollars in credit he opened in my name and 2300.00 in furniture credit that i bought when we were still together but left it all for him when we split as i didnt want ANYTHING to do with him or get from him. But they came looking for me ...the scam is that this number 716 635-9550 caled my newly husband ( ive been newly married for over a year now) the debt is over the 5 year statue of limitations and this company called and strating harassing us via my new husbands work phone . i have no idea where they got the phone number from except that i had did some reaearch and found they are hackey lawyers that cant work in the courts anymore and they have acces to private investigators to obtain PRIVATE information. They pay off people to illegally find them social security numbers and other info thats personal. They threaten you with civil lawsuits and judgements on your credit, what they are really doing is trying to get you scared enough to send them a settlement of the partial money/debt and if your not "hip" on what they are or what they are doing , once you send them the settlemnet money to supposedly keep the debt off your credit ..the person who was in charge of obtaining the money from your debt gets to keep a large portion of that money as a bonus for collecting the outstanding debt that was already charged off by the credit company. So they keep your money and and make it seem like they have offersd you a great deal and helped you out to keeping your credit "clean". My debt had reached its 5 year statue of limitations and was charged off, these people  David Migliaccio / Bruce Bronson /David Golberg/Jill Anderson and about 50 other names they use coming from Buffulo NY / West Virginia / Ohio/ New Jersey / Williamsville NY /Horsham PA and a handful of other places all over the country. DO NOT GIVE THEM OR OFFER ANY INFORMATION TO THEM!!! They are a bunch of bullcrap and are trying to scare the people who dont know any better. I know this because i have a younger brother who used to work for a collection agancy of debts and he told me of thier practices like these and how they can make a shitload of money by conning these really scared people into sending this so called settlement money to keep thier credit clean!!!  All you have to do is send them a cease and dicist letter that you can find on the website .......www.BuddHill.com  and keep every phone call and message they leave you on your cell phone or answering machine!! DONT ANSWER thier calls just make sure that you know and label them so you know its them when they call. you can then take all the info you have and get in touch with ..States ATTORNEY GENERAL and make the complaint with all your evidence and you could actually get them for harassment and a few other things that may entitle you to some money.......so whos laughing now? certainly not them a***oles!!!!! I hope this helps some of you having this issue Good Luck!!

The thing about it is why should someone who is effectively stealing be offered protection by any government?  Particularly when people just complain about how broke they are and that the economy and the government are to blame.  You realize the government and lawyers actually make more off of these lawsuits than the consumers who sue the collection agencies.  I know I've sued three agencies and my house ended up being foreclosed on still.  You realize of course the largest problem is people unwilling to pay their bills when they can afford to.  It screws people like me who really couldn't.

a mrs Light called me from the above number, hunting my son to tell him that someone is filing a litigation against him , and they think it isn't fair and want, and want his side of the story, stating that they are an investigative team. I told her if I found out her tale to not be true, that I would report her. This bunch of hoodlums have called and called, each time with a different tale. My son and his wife do not live with me,which I have explained over and over, but they continue to harrass us.

ATTORNEY GENERAL CUOMO ANNOUNCES REFORM DEAL WITH THREE NY DEBT COLLECTION COMPANIES OVER DECEPTIVE TECHNIQUES

Companies to pay $245,000 to state for violating state and federal debt collection laws, must provide easily accessible consumer complaint forms through company Web sites
~
Latest action in Cuomo's ongoing probe into unlawful debt collection and settlement practices

ALBANY, N.Y. (June 2, 2009) - Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that his office has reached an agreement with three New York debt collection companies that failed to adequately supervise employees who engaged in deceptive and fraudulent methods to collect debts.

The three companies, Creditors Interchange Receivable Management, LLC, Capital Management Services, LP and Tri-Financial, LLC, have agreed to substantially reform their business practices in order to be in full compliance with the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and New York?s Debt Collection Procedures Act. The companies, which are based in Western New York but do business across the country, are also paying $245,000 to the state in penalties and costs.

?We will continue to investigate the myriad deceptive practices that debt collection companies, debt settlement companies and others employ as a means to exploit consumers who are already down on their luck,? said Attorney General Cuomo. ?These three companies have agreed to immediately stop these practices and reform their policies to ensure their collectors comply with both state and federal law. I call on other companies engaged in the business of debt to do the same.?

According to complaints received by the Attorney General?s Office, collectors at the three companies employed fraudulent tactics in an attempt to collect debts, including:

Contacting alleged debtors without a lawful justification for doing so and even after being asked in writing to cease all communication
Contacting consumers at their places of employment even though the collectors were aware that such contact was prohibited by the consumers? employers
Discussing consumers? debts with third parties (i.e. employers, neighbors, etc.), and doing so even after the third party told the company to cease such communications
Falsely claiming that the company was acting on behalf of an attorney and that the company or a creditor was about to commence legal action against the consumer
Failing to respond to consumers requests for debt verification
Under separate settlements with Attorney General Cuomo?s Office, the three companies have agreed to enhance their compliance protocols and make it easier for consumers to file complaints against individual collectors. All three companies must create a direct link on their respective Web sites to consumer complaint forms. The companies must also maintain an employee disciplinary history database, as well as a comprehensive database of all complaints made by consumers or third parties who were wrongly contacted by collectors.

For the violations, each company must pay penalties and costs to the state.

Tactics prohibited by both the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the New York State debt collection and consumer protection laws include: posing as an attorney, threatening lawsuits or other legal action which cannot be taken, saying a consumer committed a crime or will be arrested and talking with third parties except to get location information. The law further requires collection agencies to send a written notice within five days of initial communication with the consumer explaining how he or she can dispute the debt. If properly disputed, the collection agency must stop all collection attempts and send verification.

The settlements announced today are part of a larger investigation by Attorney General Cuomo into unlawful debt collection practices. Last week, Attorney General Cuomo subpoenaed nearly twenty companies and law firms operating as debt collectors throughout the state. His office also shut down two collectors for threatening and intimidating consumers into paying debts that they did not owe. In early May, Attorney General Cuomo announced a lawsuit against two debt settlement companies for fraudulent business practices and false advertising by selling misleading debt settlement plans that very rarely deliver the promised benefits to consumers dealing with debt.

Cuomo also launched a website - www.NYDebtHelp.com - that explains consumer rights, allows victims of debt settlement companies quick access to the Attorney General?s office to file complaints, and outlines the stages of the Attorney General?s investigation. These three cases were handled by Assistant Attorney General Dennis Rosen and Senior Consumer Frauds Representative Karen Davis under the supervision of Deputy Attorney General for Regional Affairs David Sampson and Assistant Attorney General in Charge of the Buffalo Regional Office Russell Ippolito.

Creditor's Interchange is located in Buffalo, NY,  and they have a large collection operation across the river in Canada where the wages and worker benefits are even smaller.

VERY aggressive debt collectors who lie, threaten and do any illegal act imaginable to separate you from your money. These are nasty, desperate conmen,  and should NEVER be trusted. They have posed as bankers, lawyers and other professionals to scare consumers into believing something bad would happen, if monies were not immediately forthcoming.

In reality, these low-lives of the collection industry are nothing but a fraud! Any debt collector from Buffalo, New York is desperate, however Creditors Interchange apparently is hiring the WORST of the WORST! Stay far away -- they are desperate and dangerous.

ALL OF YOU ARE UNBELIEVEABLE........ALL YOU DO IS COMPLAIN ABOUT GETTING PHONE CALLS AND THE PEOPLE YOU GET THEM FROM.  BUT THE REASON YOU GET THEM IS BECAUSE YOU ALL HAVE DEBTS THAT YOU DONT PAY.  YOU HIDE BEHIND CALLER ID AND VOICE MAIL AND ANSWERING MACHINES.  YOU ARE TAKING THOUSANDS FROM BANKS AND DONT HAVE THE DECENCY TO ANSWER THE PHONE.  IF YOU TOOK THE TIME TO DISCUSS YOUR DEBTS WITH THE PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLING YOU AND JUST BE HONEST THEY WOULDNT HAVE A REASON TO CALL EVERYWHERE AND EVERYONE LOOKING FOR YOU. SO NOT ONLY DO YOU NOT PAY YOUR DEBTS BUT YOU ALSO COMPLAIN WHEN YOUR CALLED ABOUT IT AND WOULD RATHER SPEND MORE TIME AND EFFORT IN AVOIDING THEM THAN PAYING THEM.   I CANT THINK OF A MORE WORTHY OUTCOME!!!!!!

I asked "Jamie" for her office number and she gave me this number. LOL It's in NY. When I asked for the name of the company she said IC Associates.

It was only after I googled the phone number she gave me that I found this site. So, they are still at it. Look at your state laws to find out if it's legal for them to try and collect from out-of-state. And if they threaten you they are breaking federal laws and you should immediately file a complaint with Federal Trade Commission.

for those who have left blogs about this company thanks so much.  They contacted my employer today and stated that it was an EMERGENCY that they speak with me ASAP and wanted to know exactly where I worked and the number.  By doing this they disclosed that I had a debt, but my problem is that the debt is not with THEM.  So, I followed the information listed above and I submitted a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

They have called at 6am and as late as 9:30pm
Claimed to be an attorney
Made false statements about my credit rating
I will go to hell for not paying my obligations
State every credit card I have is frozen (not true)
First I owed 9800.00
THen 13900.00
Now it is 19980.00
They have called the store I work in and talked to anyone including customers that have answered the phone and told them aweful aweful things that end in make sure you tell her what I said.
I am at my wits end, I have no money for an attorney so now I do not sleepm am waiting for a knock on the door and I am fearful of every phone call.
What horrible people I hope they reach their just deserts.

This number called me today and claimed that action is being taken only because Chase did not receive a bailout. From what I recall, they actually received a $25 billion bailout and then proceeded to take over other banks. They also wanted me to call them back with my parents credit card number + security number.

He misrepresented himself and also the company that he is working for. He is nothing but a debt collector with an inflated idea of what his job legally allows him to do and to say.
