I really don't care whether this is a genuine caller or not.  The fact remains that they are leaving this automated message where they insert the caller name in a space and then a case number.  The message stresses that I should take the information down and contact them.  Well, since the person they are asking for isn't a person that goes with this number and has never lived here during the time I have owned the number I truly believe that this is a fraudulent call.  I listened for a number to dial at the end in hopes I could relay this information to the company but there is no way to contact them.

I get calls from them at my work. They have been told not to call me here. They are saying that there are charges against my social and my bank for wire fraud and fraudulent banking. I have got nothing in the mail from them. When I talk to them they want my debit card to pay a bill that I don't have. I think they are crooked. I think that they have to prove that you have a bill before they can file charges. They have been threatening to have me served at my work.

Call my place of employment ant leave messages about charges against my social. They know that they can't call me at work. But they do it anyway. When I talk to them they won't give me any real information. But it seems that they want me to give them information about my bank and debit card. I told them to send the information in the mail. They have never tried to contact me by mail. They are trying to charge me for some bogus bill that I don't have. I will not give my information over the phone. These people need to be stopped. They need to stop harassing people at work.

There's a message with a guy saying that they are calling about something that was transfered to a bank account and to call another number back and a claim number. The message is not even for me and they call at least 5 times a day. I research and all I found that its a scam I just wish they will stop calling me when its not even for me but for someone else.

Embarrassing humiliating harassing phone calls to myself and family members.  Different callers from this same phone number.  Posing as a Richmond county court house legal agent and threatening me of arrest and delivering a court paper to my job and home.  I want these people to pay for what they have done.  I have all of the messages recorded and I'm going to obtain a lawyer to handle my case and seek payment for what they have done!!!!

This company is a scam.... I admit two years ago I got a Payday Loan, I was making payments to pay it back and I saw the interest rate. I called the MA Attorney Generals office who said that the rate was illegal in MA. After that I stopped payments. Now Tina Swing (sounded more like a Shaniqua) from this company is calling me a year and half later saying I owe with the 130+% interest rate, the minute I told her that I spoke with Attorney General she said oh well it's lower for you, I asked her to email me what I owed and I would ask Attorney General if that was legal, she told me that they can not email that information. Do not fall for their civil cases they say are pending. I was told I knew that payday loans were illegal in MA yet I got one anyways. (Funny cause I did not know that and their website allowed me to get one)

Lastly beware, towards end she said she was going to play my phone call in court(which I am not sure why she would want to since she called me a deadbeat lol). I asked if it was recorded and she told me it was, I told her that in MA it is illegal to record a call without the other parties knowledge. She was admit that in MA, it is not the case lol I guess she knows more than the Attorney General.

Wow! It's a good thing the calls from this number don't really come from criminals overseas trying to steal money from us. Otherwise they'd send illiterate shills to post here using nonexistent words like "emaculant" and "forreal". Thank you, Internets!

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

Got a very rude and harassing voicemail yesterday. Stated from Prather Scott & Associates, she talked on and on about my county courthouse trying to deliver "paperwork" to my address twice, now they will come to my work. First of all I live WAY far away from upstate NY and my own county would know where I live (this place has a different address). Next, the bank account # they have is wrong.

In my state I would have gotten something in writing (which I never have) and the "paperwork" would have been delivered by someone who has jurisdiction here.

This has to be a scam, I have tried every which way to look up this so-called firm and they don't seem to exist.

HEY JASON - Why are you trying to trick the good people on this site?

I think you are a shill and work for the calling company. This is the truest act of desperation to make people believe that a scam is real.

Shame on you, you need an old-fashioned whoopin behind the wood shed!

TO ANYONE ELSE READING - you can ignore these people, they may have your information and all that jazz but the only thing they can do is call. Beyond that, they are powerless and have no authority over you.
