My mother got a call today from a rude prick saying he was doing a criminal background check on me and needed more information. She was not going to give him anything and he hung up on her. 10 minutes later he called my brother, saying he was Detective McKenzie (impersonating an officer of the law) with Northeast Credit Solutions and needed to talk to me immediately involving criminal matter, My brother also gave him no info but called me with his number. I called and asked for detective McKenzie and the person answering the phone had no idea what I was talking about. They looked me up and transferred me to someone who answered as (again) Detective McKenzie. He immediately was rude and informed me that if I interrupt him in any way he will hang up on me and have me arrested for fraud. I immediately told him to shut up and listen to me. I told him he hasn't tried to contact me once but is harassing my family for something I know nothing about. He cut me off and told me that he was collecting for ACE Cash Express, a payday advance loan I defaulted on 4 years prior. I did fall on hard times and indeed faulted. The weird thing is that they won a settlement 3 years ago and garnished my wages, paying the amount in full. I let him continue with his shenanigans until he asked for payment, of which I declined. He was then screaming over the phone to get an attorney because he's sending my information to the authorities and I was going to be arrested and incarcerated. I, of course, called back and informed the next anus that answered of the call I just encountered. He assured me that they were a collection agency and not the law but that I needed to pay this debt (good cop routine), I again told this guy I wasn't going to pay. He as well began to scream at me that I was going to go to jail and I needed to get an attorney. This is almost every violation of the law, as far as collections go. These people have no fear of that because they are not a real debt collection company. They have good information and almost seem convincing but are 100% bogus. Paying them anything will go directly into their pockets and not towards any debt you owe or help your credit. DO NOT PAY THEM. I have a phone number of 1-855-695-1312, working as of 11/01/12. They seem to change their address, phone number constantly and slightly change their name to dodge complaint to law enforcement. They are the same company. BEWARE.

I got a message on my cell phone from a guy named Tom from # 1 800 209 0068 ext 107.  He gave me a file number and said my county is due to file on Sept 17th.  This concerned me because I know I do owe money to my old bank.  I tried calling back and got a voice mail.  I am so glad I found this site.  I am NOT going to pay them anything.  I hope I can find a way to block their number.  Thanks for all your help on your feedback on this!

I got a call from a woman named Lynn Benson.  Said she was a Legal Carriour and would be bring me papers for fraud with in the next 48 hours if I did not return her call.  They have called my work and harassed me, and even gave personal information to my co-workers.  Including my ssn and telling them to tell me that I would be receiving a warrant, and don't let it embarrse me.  I called back and left a nice little message of this womans voice mail, so I don't think that she will be bothering me again.

Its a collection agency, Northeast Financial.  They actually called my neighbors looking for me and they told them I had moved.

I got a call on my cell from a guy named Tom Robone. Not sure if the spellling of his last name is right. He said he was from Northeast Firm Inc. in New York. His phone number is 716-810-4872. He told me that I owed $1400 on a payday loan that I had back in 2008. I only borrowed $255 at the time and paid it all back in a month. He claims that I didn't pay it and that papers were being filed and that civil suit charges would be brought against me in 24 to 48 hours. He also claims that he called some woman named "Christina" at the DPS office to try to have my license suspended until I pay this debt. I'm wondering how in the hell does he have all my information and email address. I told Tom Robone that he can have this conversation with my lawyer and that he'll be hearing a list of fraud charges that will be brought against him and his company if they continue to call me. THESE B*****DS NEED TO BE SENTENCED TO DEATH!!!!

I am elderly but I knew I owed on a bill...I spoke to a very nice gentleman at Northeast and set me up on a very reasonable payment.  It states in the bible to pay our debts! I am very poor but believe in my
heart and my savior jesus christ that we should all confess to our debts.
I paid the bill off last month, and the person that i set the payment with was very nice, and understanding.

Got a message from a Christy Miller today calling from the Firm of Northeast Legal Fraud Division. Never said that this was an attempt to collect a debt.  Just said that it was imparitive that I give a statement regarding a case number this person stated, before fileing. Never said they would file in court. This absolutely does not sound like a legitimate debt collection since I have dealt with collections before and they usually don't say they are going to file and they usualy will say this is an attempt to collect a debt.  Also if this person that left me a message was Christy Miller they called from 866-230-0005 at some extention. Also if the person calling was a Christy Miller it was hard to tell if it was a man or a woman. If its a woman, damn go smoke another few cartons of cigarettes, if it was a man try talking like you have something between your legs.  If I hear anything else I will post more.  Even though the phone numbers are different and the name of the company changed slighty, it sounds like the same low lifes that can't get a real job.

Shut up! yall are harrassers and violating every law designed for you to collect a debt legally and fair.

I also received a call from an Abe Shapiro, stating he was an attorney and trying to collect a debt that I had made online. He stated that he could give me 3 options to pay and that if I didnt on August 12th I would be arrested and everyone would know that I had commited fraud and it would ruin my life.  He wants me to pay like $3300.00 for a $200.00 loan.  I did talk to him, but after going the Better Business Bureau and finding this like I am gonna call back and ask for something in writing, since I have never received anything about this until now.

Got a call from a Abe Shapiro.  He called my mom and told her since i had borrowed under a $1,000 on line, he was going to turn me in for fraud and possible jail time.  The thing that gets me is that they had tried to send in my payment 13times and now the loan is up to $3500.  The problem that i have is that they called my mom and dad, and had my moms maiden name.  I never use my moms information for any account.  Has anyone else received a call from ABE?  Please let me know what i should do.  Thank You.

FORT LAUDERDALE (CN) - A man demands punitive damages from Northeast Financial Solutions, claiming that after he ignored dunning phone calls for a $15,000 debt that he didn't owe, someone put his name on Craigslist, soliciting homosexual sex, and he had to be hospitalized for stress after getting 300 phone calls about it in two days.
The plaintiff also claims the defendants posted a picture of a drunk man in the bogus "Men Seeking Men" ad, "intending the recipients of the personal advertisement to believe that it was a picture of the plaintiff."
He demands damages for libel, emotional distress, and violations of the Fair Debt Collection Act. He is represented in Broward County Court by Jim Polenberg with Polenberg Cooper.

Some lady called my sister's boyfriend's cell phone today and said her name was Danny.  He asked for my sister and her boyfriend said that this was not her phone but he could get her a message.  Danney went on to say that if my sister did not pay them some money within the next 24 hrs, their were going to file charges on her.  He asked what for and she said that she could not give out the details.  Kind of funny that she can't give the details, but can say that they are going to file charges on someone.  Seems like those would be the details a legitimate company would not give out.  This sounds completely bogus and very unconstitutional.  This country was founded by debters and the day idiots like that can put people behind bars is the day to find somewhere else to live!

This is messed up. My GRANDPA recieved a call from this company stating that he had cosigned on a loan for me in 2002 when I was in the Military and that I had not paid the whole loan. The truth is that I got out of the military, forgot that it was an allotment coming out, and never heard anything about it. Its been almost seven years, coincidence? I don't think so. He threated my grandparents with taking them to court and suing them for the money, which is not apparently twice the amount of the original loan! The truth of the matter is that my Grandpa never singed on a loan for me, they had his social security number and everything! THIS IS A SCAM!! Do not pay them anything. They improperly threated my grandparents, wont send me any information, and Joseph Samuels, told me that the "UCMJ People" are after me! In truth, they are not after me, I recieve the GI Bill and a VA pension so Im sure if they were they would have gotten to me by now! They are a Scam, the post that says the guy was served with a supoena is almost surely one of them. Also, when I was on the phone with this idiot he transferred me to the so called UCMJ people and no one of course answered. I tried to call back numerous time and my number has been blocked from their system! Dont give them money and report them to the authorities!!

David Michael Anthony called my ex-husband and left a voice message for me or my attorney to contact him asap before this case goes to litigation. I have not had that phone number for 2 years. I called back to see what was going on. He said I have a credit card debt from 4 years ago. I have never had a credit card w/ the bank he was claiming. He told me that I was being sued and they could garnish my wages and take my tax refund. He said he is a "lawyer" and wins 98% of the time. He needed an answer from me right away. I could pay 75% of the bill or they would filed on Monday. He also stated that they know all about me because they did a background check. He called me at work on Monday. I never gave them my work phone or said it was ok to call at work. He has violated the Fair Debt collection act. I have reported him to the FTC, New York Attorney General and my state Attorney General. FYI the date he is saying this debt occured is past the statue of limitaions for my state. When it is past the statue of limiations they can no longer use the courts to force you to pay, ie garnish your ways. Their case if went to court will be dismissed
