This is a scam pretending to fix your computer, but they download a virus and try to charge you to remove it

Some C**** Jockey tried to say he's a MSN tech and I have an urgent problem with my Windows, somebody put in a virus and Trojan.  strung him along for a little bit, asked him how my computer sent him my cell number, then just joked and insulted him about getting a real job and going to prison.  told him pretty brown skin people like him make great girl friends in prison, hopefully you're looking forward to it.  He finally hung up on me.  It's probably the 10th time I've received a call like that.  DO THESE MORONS THINK WE ARE STUPID?  Get back on your camel, ride home, slap your wife, beat the cow and then slit your wrist.

Almost all these callers are in india.  Not much can be done.  However, Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Same issue, this guy keeps calling is there anyway to block him as he comes in from several phone numbers, the number above is listed as a pay phone; then the other number is 000-000-0000.  Drives me crazy says he is with Microsoft and I tell him that I am going to report him.. and he keeps calling  back.  Today he seemed sick.. coughing on the other end of the line a lot..

I got this calls now 2times and live in Australia.
After telling my name, they hang off.
To call me in my mobile phone is a joke. My Computer at home is connected by homephone with a other number. So i belive it's a programm in my mobile phone who is caling home.

I had this call today from this number, thought it might be a scam, asked if I could call back and they hung up on me..

Received call and told me they are mortgage broker for Canadian. Bank and having lots of good offer. It looks like cheater and request any body to don't disclose any personal information.

Hey guys i also got call from this same number, they were calling regarding Asha Note product once i registered for asha note so they called up to me and asked about delivery address for delivery their product thats it dont panic ...

Received  a call in France today. did not answer. No message left.

I got a call from this number.  The caller claimed his name was Jack Murray and he was calling from Microsoft.  The caller had a very strong Indian accent and due to the sound of his voice, I'm sure everything he told me was read off of a computer screen or paper.  "Jack Murray" claimed that my PC was sending security messages to Microsoft without my knowledge and that he needed to walk me through steps to stop this.  Of course he would need to verify who I was by asking for my personal information.
I knew from the get go this was a scam.  Microsoft never calls their customers unless you have initiated contact first.  Also, they don't spend the bandwidth watching for these circumstances.  When you think your verifying your details with them, they are stealing your information.  I told "Jack Murray" to give me a callback number so I could verify his position.  At that time he called me a "FOCKER", the moron couldn't even say the "F" word properly and immediately hung up the phone.

I have since reported the call to the FTC (FTC.com) and Microsoft.

Answered this call. No sound from caller. After a minute it clicked and a recorded voice said goodbye. I just called back and supposedly it's not a working number. Phone companies make money from this fraud. Calls that can't be returned should not be allowed.

I just received a call from this number stating they were getting error messages from my computer...! I told them that I will take it in to my local computer center. He just hung up...

Ok so I'm in the uk and when a random out of country number calls me at 6pm uk time its pretty annoying. Some dude who could barely speak English tried to tell me the windows computer i was using had sent an error message. Hung up immediately when i told him to give ne the computer number and error code and i would look into which computer in the company was sending errors outwith our tech team.

I'm not in a company but sadly haven't even had my computer on for 12months so why would it send errors

This is a scam caller... Very rude and swore at me when I called him out on his scam.

Got a cal this evening about the problem with my computer which coincidentally I had recently but knew that no one calls me, I call them so just told them sorry you have a wrong number. It was a young man with some accent and kept laughing occasionally so did he think I was going to take him seriously with that going on..anyway some sort of scam beware of  716-689-9717

They called us at 12:35am claiming there was a problem with our computer!  The air horn is a fantastic idea!!

Indian woman called today.  Knew our last name.  Said she was calling from some hotel/bar in New York?  Red Bar maybe?  When I said "Who?"  she hung up on me.

As an update, these people are still using the computer scam. They called me yesterday to let me know, in a heavy accent, that they received noification that my computer had downloaded some dangerous malware and if I would turn my computer on they would gladly walk me through the steps on how to get rid of it. Thought it was pretty funny and strung them along for a bit before they hung up.  It's not much of a scam but I noticed posts about them dating back a couple of years which tells me they must snag enough people too make it worth it to them. Be careful.

Scam call from this number, listed as "Williamsville, NY" on Caller ID. Absolutely do not answer if they call.

Middle Eastern Guy call me again from this same number. Said he was Microsoft. I told him to give me his id# he refused and called me a "clever girl" I told him it was a scam and hang up.

I just got a call from the same number!
The man speaking claimed he was from microsoft and that something was wring on my computer.
I thougth it was wierd that a man talking english gave me this call, concidering I live in Norway. I figured if something was wrong, some norwegian technicians would call.

This same company called me yesterday from a different number (547-008-3006) and cussed out my teenage son.  The company representative called again today.
