This phone number is harassing people and asking for money that is not owed this is a scam and they need to be investigated by authorities.

they called and i told them that was an old debt that bk covered said would not call again and hour later called my neighbor they need sued,

I am getting same calls and I don't know who they are for I tried to call them and tell them that my lawyer and the police department said send this person the papers and see them in court  but they hung up on me     They are bill collectors and will use anyone's similar name or old address to harrass people.   Cops told me I could charge them with telephone communication harrassment and I did it once before    they do charge them

They have been calling me 2 my house and my now they have my cell number these ppl are scams if they r asking for money they r just trying to get $

I just received a form over the fax from this company that was directed to my human resources department.  They were wanting my work information, how much I made, when I got paid, how many hours per week I work, my year to date earnings and much more.  They don't even state who they are or why they want this information!!  I am calling the BBC about this company because I have no clue who they are and have no outstanding debts that need to be paid.

My girlfriend just got a call from 716-735-1112. she was terrified with the scare tactics they used ( threatening to follow her and serve papers anywhere they needed to, that she would go to jail for fraud) I just served my own scare tactics on a DUMBASS named MICHEAL SANSONE. he started to stutter when i told him to go screw himself and to mail me his proper papers! He did not even get her name right the first time. Don't be scared to tell any collector to screw off! If you don't have the money to pay, tell them and hang up!

Yes this number calls me several times a day asking me to call them or my designated council.  Once they told me about a debt I owed and when I asked them to prove it they said this call is proof.  Not willing to give them money to someone I have no proof I owe.  These people are idiots......This has been going on for months.  I guess they can't make a decision on my case or not........

Just hung up on them.  They lie...you can't get "picked up" for bad debt.  As far as serving me with papers...I don't listen to threats.  If they were legit...they would have just done it by now.

That is assuming they validate the debt in writing as per the FDCPA. If they fail to validate and file a 1099C, you should file IRS form 211 and/or form 3949A to report the improper credit taken by the issuer of the 1099c.

Got the call from Mr. Smith regarding a 1099C form that someome is going to file. I told him he would be hearing from my Bankruptcy Attorney.

Stop these threatening harrassing calls!

You need to retain legal counsel and sue them for making illegal threats. You CANNOT be "picked up", "sued", nor can they threaten to turn you into the IRS for an UNVALIDATED DEBT.

I have also recieved a call from this number saying they are going to file suit and have me picked up for an old payday loan that is where they are getting information on you from I have paid loan back a long time ago but now getting these calls. They say something about 1099 fee statement.

i too have received several calls from them and they knew old bank info from a closed out account 4 years ago. I am so glad i didn't give them any new information. thanks for the posts. hopefully they get caught and dealt with accordingly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Called came from #716-735-1112

It does not matter if you work. A 1099-c form is a cancellation of debt. You have to file taxes on that as income

ok this is happening to me and my family also.  They slipped up and said that is was a bad debt that was deposited on dec. 2 11.  I have not had an account since August 11.  I have told them that i would call them back today, however, now i will not.  thanks for the posts.

Today I got another call from these jerks indicating that they had a 1099 Tax Form that needed my attention!!  Funny....I don't work!!!! So it's just another tatic to get you to answer the call.  As ,long as you do NOT speak to them there isn't a dam thing they can do.  So program the number into your phone as DNA (do not answer) and select a ring tone that is silent...they can call all they want and  you won't be bothered as it will go to VM automatically.   Remember - do not speak to them AT ALL!!

The problem i have is that they don't even call me or send me written letters of any debt, they only call my family members, they call my elderly parents and tell them that they have fraudulent charges pending and now the newest one is that they told my step-mom that they have me for a fraudulent 1099, what the hell are these people talking about. When my parents don't give any info they keep calling back, which is illegal. Legally they can only call once. Its really hard to find an address for these people so I can send a cease and desist letter but on another web page I found an address of 2912 Delaware Ave, Buffalo NY 14217. They called me tonight (1-2-12), but didn't have my name right. I thought it was the wrong number and have no intentions of calling them back. I have nothing legal going, thank God.

Left automated message stating they were calling from the law office of Alexander & Stefano and that I or my legal representative needed to call them back asap in regards to my social security number being flagged for potential fraud activity. They were calling a couple of times a week a few months ago then the calls stopped and now they are starting back up. I have no outstanding debts and if this was legit they would have served me by now. Phone number on the caller ID was 626-768-1133.

Getting the same calls..I set up a payment plan with them..but felt it seemed not legit..I don't really know what to do..If this isn't legit their messing with the wrong person..I have know money..Very upset over this.

This number keeps calling my office.  I called them back once and they said that they were going to track me down and serve papers on me and I would have to appear in court.  They said they would find me that day.  Well, it's been 3 weeks and no one has delivered anything to me.  They said they would find me no matter where I was, at home, a restaurant, work or on the street.  There is no way they can find someone whom they don't even know what they look like.  This place is a real annoyance.  I do not know of any reason they would be calling me for I have nothing outstanding nor past due.  Keep hanging up on this number, maybe they will quit one day.

I've gotten a couple of calls....first they had my name, and wondered if I could have
my neighbor, Mr. X call them. (the guy said Mr. X, who I don't know, give my number
as an emergency contact. I doubt that.) The second call just asked if Mr. X were here.

I am getting the same call.  I know for a fact that if there is a legal problem they need to put it in writing instead of continuing to place call.  Just a bill collector and their scare tactics.

The message the caller left on my phone said was with the fraud division of Alexander & Steffano, investigation several cases of fraud conencted to my social security number.  They call once or twice a day, using different numbers.  I never call them back.  They keep saying that if I or my atorney don't contact them within 24 hours, that decisions will be made in my case without my prior knowledge.  Well, they've been making the same threat for a couple of months now......
