they have been calling me telling me i am going to be arrested for fraud. so i just blocked all the numbers they call me on.
scammers !! the # they call in on is 716-748-6073, but i am going to block all the numbers i have read about in here. i am a 63 yr old gramma and i don't need the aggravation.

They first called me a few times leaving a message for a friend of mine saying her social security number had been compromised with possible fraudulent use.  When I assumed this was a scam and didn't return their phone call I received another message saying MY SS# had been used fraudulently.  I still didn't return their call and then I got a message that they had no choice but to sue me.  I can't figure out how if my and my friends social security numbers were used fraudulently why they want to sue me. Talk about fraud!!!

Have received multiple calls from this number looking for a friend of mine. They identify themselves as Zimmerman and Associates - advising of fraudulent check writing using my friend's social security number and date of birth and that if they do not hear from her by the end of the day - the charges will be pursued. I was concerned - relayed the information to my friend - she had spoke with them all ready and they wanted her to give them her social security number and date of birth - when she refused and advised them to tell her the social security number and date of birth they had on file for her - they became irate and hung up. I received another call requesting to speak to my friend when I told them they were a scam the lady became very irate starting yelling at me and hung up the phone. I am turning them into law enforcement.

No Name other than i have to call him or have my attorney call him before the 26 of July if not will pursue other means

I received a call from a Mr. Dunn at BG Capital and Associates reguarding a civil law suit against me. Is this a scam?

I received a phone call from this law office this morning... at my job which happens to be as a paralegal.  I was left a message on my cell phone and my work phone stating to contact them about a pending case against me.  My ex husband has used my SS# recently to get some payday loans and let them default, so I can only assume this is what it is about.  I have never received any written communication from a Carey Law Firm.

Also a few weeks ago I received a call from a law firm with a CA number and the "lawyer", who had an Indian accent, basically threatened me with jail if I did not "comply", but he would not tell me what the matter concerned no matter how many times I asked.  I also asked for his bar number and the court he was filing a case against me in, and he refused to give me both.  I told him to send me a certified letter and his words were "I see you in court" and hung up on me.  I haven't heard from them since.

He gives the last 4 of my social he state that me or my attorney needs to get in touch with him  before June 23 or charges will be filed contact him at 716-748-6069.  While I am on the phone with Your Payday Loan Help my husband comes in the kitchen to tell me that someone  left a message on his phone for me about check fraud. He comes back five minutes later to tell me that my mother-in- law wants to speak to me. She tells that a Mr. Don left his number for me to call him about a check fraud investigation and that she need to give him a number where he could reach me, he has gone too far, I called he and I let him know that what he did was illegal, and that I know my rights you can't go around scandalizing someones name with people that you are not even sure if they know each other. I told him to send me a certified letter letting making me aware of the situation. He said that letters where sent but I never received any letter. I ask him who was the company he states Eastside Lenders. I let him know that they have received paper work already and he is to stop making phone call. I asked him to give me his fax# he refused , the only way that I can have it is to agree to payment.  I let him that Jesus sits high and looks low and he should not go around spreading lies on people. He states why do you have to bring relegion in this, I told because I never wrote a check and need to stop telling lies. He tries to put a supervisor on the phone, I let he know that I did not have to talk to him and he better not make another cause I know my rights. When I was employed they would call my job and tell my employers that I was writing bad checks. I've had it it stops here, I will fight this to the end they have gone too far. They have also called  my husbands parents with harassing phone calls and stating they need to find a lawyer for me because i am being sued.  What a bunch of bull!  I have reported them to the FTC and I am going to block them with my telephone provider. Do not give them any of your information. They are a fraudulant company! They pose as Bryant reps to get you to pick up the phone.

I have received various harassing calls from this number, and others they use, threatening to come to my business to collect, have me arrested, and so on if I didn't pay.  When I called number back, the "lawyer" would not give me his name, company name, address or anything to even verify who they were.  Told me if I kept calling back he would have me arrested for harassment LOL.  Anyway, don't even give them your name, they are a scam.  If they call and you get annoyed, answer and have fun with them.  I have opened a complaint with the FTC and called them to tell them they have been "notified".

So did they ever deliver a summons for court or what?

The number (716) 748-6069 is a call back number used by the Law Offices of Mark A. Carey, an attorney in the Buffalo, NY area.  He has at least two offices, 34 N. Park Avenue, Buffalo, NY and 338 Harris Hill Ave. (or Rd.), Williamsville, NY.  Telephone numbers are 716-929-8373, 716-748-6073 and 800-649-8440.  I received numerous telephone calls from a blocked number, the caller leaving a voice mail message identifying himself has Rob Goldman from "The Carey Firm".  I do not know if that is his real name.  The second person I spoke with identified himself as Andrew Peters who stated that he is an attorney. I do not know if that is his real name.  Mr. Peters made several statements to me which have been reported to both local law enforcement and Verizon.  It is my understanding that there have been numerous complaints to the New York Bar Association and the Federal Trade Commision about Mr. Carey's actions and activities.  An investigation is ongoing.

I got a call as well.  They man left a message saying his name was Joe Crawford and it was regarding my case (he left the case #).  I called back and they told me it was for an OLD payday loan from WebPayDay.  The person I spoke to said that he worked for Kerry Law Offices (not sure if I'm spelling "Kerry" right).  He also said that I am going to have a civil case against me unless I make payment arrangements.  He told me that the total was up to over $1000 and that they sent me a letter in the mail.  I explained that I never received the letter and he put me on hold for a moment to speak to "the lawyers".  He came back and said he could knock off a couple hundred dollars.  I explained that I could not make a payment without seeing something in writing.  He said he'd try to get me on the phone w/ one of "the lawyers" and put me on hold.  A Ms. Sommers came on the line, identifying herself as a "paralegal" for "Attorney Kerry".  I explained to her that I needed something in writing and she said she'd call me back w/in 45 minutes.  That was almost 2 hours ago now...

recieved this phone call too regarding a past due bill that was already paid one year ago. his name was joe crawford - appear in civil court - 716-748-6069 - case number 115175 before noon and five saved this number on my cell phone
