Fred Howard scammed my wife out of $35,000 of a $75,000 investment with his Vision Gold collection schemes. It you know where he is today I would appreciate it. And please, don't ask me why I let her do it - it was her money, and all I could do was tell her it was a scam. Her favorite cousin trusted Howard's agent in the area like a father, and he convinced them both that  they could make 18% on their money in 6 months.

They just called me...a message was left on my cell phone voice mail. The message said "I am Lindsey Cooper. I am calling for the Titan Group, an investigations firm. You are a person of special interest in a legal investigation in your county. Please call 716-807-0490."  So I call and decided not to give them my name as they hadn't mentioned my name in the message which I found quite suspicious. I get a lot of collection calls for someone named Mary so I'm thinking it was probably a call for her, but figured they needed to tell me that. Instead they asked me for my maiden name. (I've had my married name for 35 years; I doubt my maiden name had anything to do with this call). The girl kept telling me they didn't have a Lindsey Cooper there and she was Lindsey Williams. I guess she got her fictional name mixed up as I replayed my voice mail and it was positively the same voice. I believe the entire call was a lie simply trying to track down the person (Mary) that had my phone number in the past.

Fred Howard made me a lot of money in my scam called Future First.  He was an insurance agent at the time.

Head Debt Collector and (bottom feeder) Titan President Fred A. Howard buys old portfolio?s of (usually) worthless debts from entities such as Providian Bank, and then farms out his collections to other debt collectors to do his dirty work. Fred spends pennies on these portfolio?s in the hopes he can then collect big bucks from unsuspecting consumers.

These other collectors include some of the most despised agencies in America like lawyers Richard DeJana of Kalispell, MT (aka/ Ameriquest Recovery Systems) and Lawrence R. Bovin of Laguna Hills, CA)   who have a long history of debt collection experience, abuse and litigation defense.

If Collector Howard is following the industry norms then DeJana and Bovin are earning their 25% commissions using the textbook collection methods of ?pay now or be sued? which has made them a LOT of money.

Fred Howard has a serious problem; his people will argue all day they are NOT a debt collector, which is a LIE! Titan Recovery Group, LLC IS a debt collector which allows consumers to use the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act against them, as circumstances warrant.

I personally do NOT think of Fred Howard as a titan, he comes across more as a wannabe in an industry of big egos and bigger mouths. Fred may find out the only thing BIG about him is his name because as a (bottom-feeder) debt buyer he does NOT measure up in the industry.

I called the same #. Only it was posted on my door on 12/05/07. I called the # & was told a similar story. I was told my balance from a credit card was $2007.53 wth court costs of $1675 but the creditor would settle for $513.83. I was also scared (b'cause I have heart problems), I enlisted my daughter to use her Visa debit card for the amount. She called me @ 6;30 this morning after chk'n her bank statement online, and told me they with-
drew another $513.83. She was livid!!! 'Cause she needed the money for a down payment on a house. I wished I had checked earlier. I called my County's District Attorney & reported this and was directed to this site.
The investigator did some research & said that this was either collection agency or maybe a group of collectors. I'm still waiting on a return call from the County Sheriff's office for more info. I'm now filing for bankruptcy.

I received a call from 716-807-0490 last night and was scared to death. I had a message stating that I was under investigation and a person of special interest.  They said I had an outstanding credit card bill of originally 1200.00 and now with court costs it was 2800.00 and I needed to take care of it immediatly by retaining an attorney.  I filed bankruptcy several years ago from my first marriage.  The thought of bill collectors never crossed my mind because they never really asked me for money.  They just scared me to death and the idea of people calling and harrasing me came back.  I had a sick gut feeling and was majorly stressing out.  They said this bill just slipped through the cracks.  I had my new husband call back, they told him I was going to court and they would come to my work and arrest me.  They wanted to take of it for us by letting us only pay 600.00.  We were not going to pay any money, but my husband acted like it to see what he would say.  The thing is they said they tried to contact me one night and expect me to take of a past due bill overnight.  I didn't get anything in the mail or had ever been in contact.  I was very  scared.  my father in law called to give them hell and gave him a good cussing.  I am so mad!!  they ruined my night.  I didn't get to pack for my thanksgiving trip because I was so stressed out.  I can't even see straight I am so mad.

These people have called my cell at least twice a day on Tuesdays.  They threaten me saying that I am a "person of interest" in an ongoing IRS investigation.  I have reported them to the authorities but they won't do anything to stop them.  The official suggested to change my number as the only effective option in order to stop them immediately.  My problem is that I have had this number for almost 7 years and is my business main line sin I yravel all the time.  I am hiring a lawyer to file suit against these guys.

I've had a couple calls from them as well, they say they are from the court system in my area, and that I am being subpoenaed into court. This is a collection company that will call anybody with the same name as the person they are collecting against. This was not me. They don't care if they have the right person or not.

It's a scam company. I got a phone call from them too.
