Sounded like a great deal until she said it would be $3.92/month for 48 months.  I'm not a magazine person.  If I purchased magazines even a couple times a month it would be worth it, but having no interest in receiving 6 different magazines every month AND still being charged for it, not really my thing.  Would be a great deal if I did a lot of magazine reading, but I don't.
Sorry

I just received a phone call asking if I wanted to sign up for free magazines for my business. I politely said no thank you and the person who I was speaking with called me a Bit@$ and hung up! I was shocked that this would be allowed at a company! They need to have customer service training!

duh because they r pre paid for, they r paid ahead of time to keep the price so low. its like if someone prepaid gas at a low rate for u its already paid for u u cant cancel when u want to. americans are dumb as rocks plain and simple. it is not or has ever been a scam, the terms are plain and simple. people who think it is a scam are just regreting making a rash rushed decison at work and then actually pulling out their credit cards to pay for it. you are all suckers. i worked  there for 5 years it was a great job and a great deal. and joe is actually a great guy. no one is being scammed. people who want something for free get exactly what they deserve. people are soooooooo dumb.

Received a call at my job with them claiming they had a special deal for anyone who worked at my company. very nice young lady said that it was 6 magazines a month free for 36 months prepaid by the publishers as a way to advertise their magazines. then later on she said it was 3.97 a week to pay for postage. Still a good deal, Sounded great so i signed up. she said her supervisor would be calling to check on how she did because she was new at the job. Supervisor called no more then five minutes later. Sales person through and through. Sly fast talking and right before she was going to hang up she slipped in that there could be no cancelations. Right there i interrupted her and said i didn't want it. she tried for a moment to talk me back into it and then hung up on me without saying a word. I called back and said i wanted to confirm that i wasn't going to be sent anything and she said "yeah it hasn't even been sent out yet" and hung up on me again. If it's a real company that supervisor needs to be fired and FYI for anyone who works there reading this. If your product is such a good deal then why is it necessary to trap people in it with your no cancelation policy?

I've worked there a couple summers ago in college. They are based in Buffalo, NY. It actually is a good deal- IF you're a magazine person or your family is. For someone who rarely picks up a magazine I wouldn't recommend it, cause now all of a sudden you have 6 issues EVERY MONTH. And back when I was there the term was 36 months without being able to cancel- I've heard it's destroyed a lot of people's credit for not being able to pay. Anyway, it's worth doing if you buy a magazine even once a month. And they have a pretty broad collection. But if you're not ready for the commitment, don't bother.

The only thing that's obvious is that YOU WORK THERE. What's it like to have a "job" where you have to go on line and claim you're not running a SCAM? When almost everybody (except the victims you tricked) knows it's a FILTHY SCAM?

Well its pretty obvious that this isn't a scam they called me also and i recieved all six of my magazines that i was promised plus a extra/bonus one each month at no extra cost. "L" i suggest that you listen to the speaker when they are speaking cause I'm pretty sure if thy were free for you they would be free for all of us. C'mon people $3.92 is no where near being a lot of money. Hell I'm happy I joined the club cause I spend more at the store on mags anyways. You are a fool if you get selected and don't take part in this offer. good day!

Got a call from a "joe" as well from the USA Readers Club.  Told me I can get 6 free magazines a week for free, all I needed to give him was my name and address.  I am getting a little worried now.

A gentleman caled (name was "Joe" from "USA Readers Club") and asked who  he was speaking to.  I asked who he was calling and he said, "well he was calling a busness and asked who he was speaking to". When I responded, "who may I connect you with", he hung up.

Received call from 716-886-6217 with Caller ID indicating "L,P P D, INC". A lady asked if this was a business or home line and I indicated that it was a home and it was on the "Do Not Call" list and she said "I wasn't told" and hung up.
