Scam to sell you phone book ads. They are an Indian call center. I swore at him in Hindi, "benchode" and "madachode" which pissed him off.

Same thing with me, kept calling my business to ask for updated information, and I could barely understand the very strong indian accent.  I told him we weren't interested and he kept talking and talking.  I finally hung up saying he was wasting my time, and he keeps calling back although I don't answer it now.

Same story for me.  I didn't pick up this call, but tried to dial from my caller ID and got a recorded message that this was not a working number.

Come to think of it, I've overheard my wife say a couple of times this week that "No, we are not a business."  

I too an on the DNC list.  I'm guessing it's the same nonsense as the other guys in this thread.

at first it was one person verifying a listing for an old business. I verified things were correct, then I was given to someone else who was supposed to be quality control. They were recording the conversation. Then came the this is to verfy your free listing, but for an updated premium listing it will cost 39.99 per month. They then asked me to re-verify the same information they presented. After about the 4th time I got tired and asked them to remove whatever listing was present and they hung up on me.
The people sounded foreign or overseas and there was crosstalk and echo. We constantly kept banging into one another with what seemed like a delay (transatlantic calling center?) I tried calling the number back and it was reported to not be working.

I received about 4 phone calls from this ph# between Oct 29-Oct 30, when I call it back I received a recording that told me it was not a working #.  The area code is from Chautauqua Co., NY, and when I did a reverse ph look-up it listed it in Bemis Point, NY.  I answered the 2nd & 3rd calls, and the caller on the other end stated they were caller from something that sounded like-"Mollier's Yellow Pages and they wanted to update my listing", I told them I had never had a listing in the Yellow pages, & I also didn't have a business.  They seemed surprised and then preceded to try and sell me a listing.  The caller was male, and had a rather strong accent that sounded Chinese.  There was no name on the caller id.  I am on the DNC, but apparently if you have ever had your ph# associated with a business, other businesses can & will still call you even though you tell them you are on the DNC list.
