I've been getting these call for several years.
This what I've found to be pretty effective.
I made a list of spam callers phone numbers and when one of them call, I answer with
AN INDIAN ACCENT AND SAY HELLO, HELLO, HELLO, AND I DO NOT IN GAGE IN CONVERSATION WITH THEM. This drives them crazy and they hang up.
Mission accomplished! Then they put me on their DO NOT CALL LIST. !!!! I win.  

Now, those call have dropped off a lot.
It works for me, Try it You'll like the results.

Got a call, med. system ?    Get too many like this and now they are coming with names.  Last one said
Lisa Christofan on my caller ID.  When is enough, enough? I am suppose to be on the do not call list.
Give them a huge fine, might make them stop, not sure. they are persistant stinkers.

Called 2 calls on 8.15 and 8.16. Caller's name showed up as Lisa Christofan on first call. Second call did not have caller's name. I did not answer calls on both occasions.

Same old same old scam call from 716 990-3465 ... which I NEVER answer no matter what. When it comes to these do***e bag scammers with nothing better to do with their excremental presence on the planet, NEVER ANSWERING is the best way to preserve one's sanity.

This is 2nd call I've received from this number in 2 days, at the same time each day (about noon local time). As I was unable to answer at the moment, call went to answering machine, leaving only a dial tone. First time I thought it could be just a 'wrong number,' but 2 times in a row is no coincidence! I called the number back and got the message "Cricket number you've called is no longer in service." Very strange if calls coming from that number. A "cloned" or other fake number?

Two calls to home # from 716-990-3465 - 11:39 a.m. 8-16 caller ID said Niagara Falls NY; 3:41 p.m. 8-15 caller ID said Lisa Christofan.  Didn't answer either call - no message left.

ROBO SPAM CALLER.  Return call, Number is Out-Of-Service.  SCAMMER / FRAUDSTER

Call rec'd early afternoon; left no message.  I never, ever answer unrecognized numbers.   Called ID said
"cell phone".  

Probably same "up to no good folks", who called & left no mssage on 8/9.   Their number was 716-990-8492;  the other caller number was 716-990-6231.

Lisa Cristofan--something about looking for a lost reletive with the same name as my husband :)  What a joke
Also called back  and some moron  said the numer was no longen use. Both te same number registered in NY

My phone is registered for Do Not Call list.  Still I getting about 5 to 6 calls a day.  how is it possible.
How many can you report. it becomes a full time job of answering and reporting. the goverment needs to take strong action. Period. it is not possible without the goverments blessing who creates a law to opt out b ut not to opt in.

THIS NUMBER CALLED ME AND IT WAS A SOLICTOR. SOME TYPE OF LIFE ALERT.

This was a call allegedly from Medic Alert.  People 65 and older are eligible for a free medic alert system so the caller says.  If you have fallen and can't get up with one of these systems you have access to an EMT and 3 of your closest friends or relatives.  Press 1 to get your free Medic Alert System or press 5 to removed from our list.  It goes on to say that for less than a dollar a day you can have one of these systems. OK, what they are saying is that we will give you the system for free but then you have to pay to use it.    The message was long and this is not all that was said but it gives you an idea what the call was about.  Unfortunately I haven't trained my voice mail to press the opt-out button but I suspect that it wouldn't do any good anyway.  The fact that this number is listed to a cell phone rather than a landline listed to Medic Alert makes the call suspect also.  Next online point will be at the FTC site to file a complaint.

I got a call from this number today at 11:03 am. The caller ID said "unknown name". I didn't answer, and no voice mail message was left. When I called back I also got a recording that "the cricket number is no longer in service".

I was expecting a real important call. I was in the shower and they called so I answered the phone with out looking. almost busted my a** on the wet floor.
called back and the 'cricket number is out of service." If the phone companies can not do anything about these people then we need to develop some kind of reverse phone zap that can call them and leave a busy signal.

Same thing. Got a call from this number 716-990-3465 today and caller ID listed it as "Unknown" and since I don't reconize the phone number, I let my VM handle it. Of course, there was no message, so apparently, it wasn't that important. I have no idea when these "jerks" are calling since the ringer on my phone is off and that has made life more enjoyable.

Probably debt collectors if they're call from the Buffalo area. It's a hotbed of collection up there.

Fourth call in two days--two to cell, two to landline. I didn't answer. no msg left.

I have picked up, it's a recording of a guy talking about some kind of life alert thing for ppl 65 and over. "Press one to hear more or 5 to be removed" several previous times I have pressed 5... Today I pressed 1... Nothing happened

They call here about 9:30 almost every day.  I pick up - and immediately hang up.  Sick husband and I don't want these idiots bothering him.  Incidentally California posters - N.Y. is on EST - 3 hours later than your time.  This explains why they call me at 9:30 (Michigan is on EST) and you at 6:30.  I guess at least I'm lucky there.  :)

Called me at 6am Seattle time todayl Picked up phone not realizing what time it was.  This crap makes me angry.

Call back and says the phone number is disconnected....makes you want to dc the phone entirely.

Will not pick up phone in future.  ugh

These people are nothing but thieves. If you don't believe me then just give them your credit card number and then wait and see in a matted of days all the fraudulent charges will start to appear.  I wish that there was one regulatory agency that would tell us where these people are calling from.

Don't appreciate calls when no one leaves a name or talks so fast you cannot understand them.

Same # and same name Lisa C. News reports say this is a scam and if you hit certain # like 1 it means you accept and there will be a charge on your phone bill each month.

My mom told me she's had 4 calls today from this number.  If you dial the number, you get a recording, "The Cricket number you have called is no longer in service. Message 21."  Seems like a "phantom" number that is used only as an ID.
