got a voicemail from "Eastern Assest Management". It was very non-specific, saying it was about a case in my home county (which he clearly did not know how to pronounce.. one clue) but would like to settle it out of courts. he gave me a certain number of days to respond. pretty sure it's junk.

Collections Agency. they pretend to be attorneys. they break all the rules and can be easily sued. we will be bringing them to court. attorney's who sue these types of agencies are free b/c of the fees they charge the agnecy. they are really nasty. there are three of them a girl, and two men. supervisor's name is Mr. Curtis.

Also a call from Eastern Assets Management.  Same story that they are going to take me to court of a debt that is out side the SOL.

got a call from this company saying they were calling for a reference from someone in my family.  no such person in myfamily.

just got a call from this number.  didn't even say their name, just said "he was a lawyer representing Clout financial".  Said same thing, that there was a claim filed in the court house of the county i live in, then i told him when they serve me papers they can feel free to talk to my attorneys.  nice to know these guys are breaking the rules.

Also got a call from this number. A guy named John Concidean about a outstanding debit and how it will be filed in court tomorrow. Just wondering if they will ever stop calling or if they do turn it in. Because this guy is getting annoying.

I just got a call, well actually my mother in law got a call and so did my aunt with the same message that they are going to file a civial suit in my home town if i did not respond. I called them and got a bunch of voice mails and an automated service of some sort. If they want to actually to talk to me they need to call me in person.  I have never used my aunt for any kind of contact person and yet they say that she was my contact person when they "reserched me". What a crock.

My Grandmother received a call from these people today.  She said they said something about I was supposed to be in court on Friday, something in regards to my house.  What is all of this? Crazy.

I got a call from the same people.  Said they would file a suit against me if I didn't pay by 2pm that day.  Then they sent me a collection notice that had a settlement that was good for 2 weeks.  I have been working on fixing some old credit things and doing pretty well these last couple of years.  Shame on them for getting me all worked up.  I'm so tired of them calling me.  I tried to reach some sort of payment arrangement and was told that they weren't a collection agency and couldn't do that.  Stupid on their part, b/c I was willing to make monthly payments to keep them from having to harrass me.  Has anyone actually gotten a case filed against them by these people???

I have received numerous calls from this company the last week.  First they called my dad, left a message stating I have a case # and a court date, causing a huge concern of my father and embarrassment on my behalf considering this is an old debt from 8 years ago that I have just ignored, but still feel some responsiblity for...so I called back, they kept saying I am responsible for double the amount of what is reflected on my credit report and if I didn't pay in 2 DAYS it will be filed in court.  I advised them I cannot pay, but may I make arrangements, they stated I am responsible for the entire amount, like I said, doesn't match the amount owing on my c/r.  So, I said forget it, sounds shady, let them serve me with papers...so they have all my info, address and phone #...they've reached me there many times now and my mother gets a call today!  They told her all kinds of info that I believe that is outside of the guidelines of a collection agency's rights...she said it sounded like threats...so I called back, I said, I thought you were sending this to court last Friday, Sharon, the rep says, oh well it will be this Friday instead...bunch of crap.  I told her, without a doubt I am responsible but I still be requiring something in writing and I believe you are outside of the statute of limitations on this....she said I made a payment in Dec '05 which starts the statute of limitations period over....which I honestly do not think I did...but not completely sure.  I have heard that these agencies will make small payments on accounts like this to restart the statute of limitations period....if that's the case, that really pisses me off.  Again, I know I am in the wrong for owing the debt and all that, but don't try to scam me about it.

Ive been getting these calls from this number saying basically the same thing as all of you. They gave me a case number and said if they didnt hear from me they would file in my home county and they have changed that date twice. I used to have a credit card about eight years ago but it was for college for books and stuff and thats it. These people have called asking for my mom and even my ex-gf. Ive actually went as far as calling my county prosecuters office and they have no idea who these people are but they want to find out as well.

Was unable to find an address...suspect that this is one of many CA's who are operating under an alias, to avoid prosecution.

This caller presents himself to be an attorney at some law firm. He tells me that I owe an amount to a credit card. He also tells me where I have stayed and he has a nasty little attitude. He tells me that he doesn't care about how I feel I need to let him know if I can pay today and if not he's going to file papers against me in my county. He calls anytime and is very disrespectful. I just now registered on the do not call registry. So if he calls again I will put the blast to his A#@. He identifies himself as Mathew Reynolds and the number listed 716-999-1430 can't be called back. Um this is a problem in a half.
