I have been tring to claen up my credit. i managed to get my score form a 589 to a 614 and now i am back down 16 points bacause these people kept putting that my account was in deragatory/ collection status every week. all over $37.00  I know the debt is valid so i called to try and pay it. they said they have a $6 processing fee for paying with a credit/ debit card. so i will mail them a payment and we will see IDEA said that they report PIF the monday after the debt is satisfied. I'll let you all know how it goes.

If the debt is not valid, you can contact the three credit agencies (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion) and insist that they remove the debt - it is illegal to place something against your credit if it is not your debt to begin with.

Ok so every one is telling how they are being screwed but does any one have a physical address or a way to get this removed from your credit report? That is how any one will get justice find out a physical address and take a lawyer into their office and file a restraining order or what ever procedure you need to two take then sue them and s*** them down. It will be lengthy but some one has this kinda time on their hands I'm sure.

I happened to check my credit score and found that a TORRES CREDIT had supposedly sent a bill to collections that I have no clue about...this really pisses me off. I have been working hard to have good credit rating and now this is messing with it  and I will go to the extreme to get them out of my life....all lies and they should be sued.

I ALSO KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON MY CREDIT REPORT BECAUSE OF WORK, THEN ONE DAY THERE'S THIS ACCT WITH TORRES CREDIT SERV. WHO ARE THEY AND Y ARE THEY REPORTING ME EVERY TWO WEEKS FOR $49, R U KIDDING ME, THEY'VE DESTROYED MY CREDIT AND I DONT EVEN KNOW WHO THEY ARE OR WHAT COMPANY THEY ARE REPRESENTING!

the same thing here, same number but different address to send payments,i have to pay this little bill off my credit score drop big time ,the only thing bad on my credit & avis & budget said no i  can't rent a car. because of my score.

i think i have the same problem BMG was first called sound& spirit? well @ 19 i sign a contract with the company but just paid the bill off did not really read the contract,after 9 month i moved out of state called & canceled because i was living from house to house,@ 30  i was placed in a collection agency for breaking a 2 year contract , i'm like who ever took over  sound & spirit waited 10 years to pull my name up.

This company has posted 30 items on my credit report.  All the same causing my credit score to drop

I had the same thing happen to me a 30.00 charge from these people showed up on my credit report and they are saying it was from 2005 and I have never even heard of them I talked to someone back in april and told them to send the orig. bill and I still have nothing and it's still on my report what else can I do?

tcs or torres credit services is NOT A SCAM!! they are a collection agency and some of the acct that they collect for they can offer stlements or make arrangements with to help you take care of dedt that you owe TORRES CREDIT IS NOT A SCAN

I also have Torres credit on my Equifax report 3 times all in a week timeframe, this is crazy. Don't know anything about this account or company I know this has killed my credit score. I'm  was just clear of any negative info for a year now here these clowns come!!!!! Does anyone have credit keeper to monitor their reports I think they may have something to do with this. It just seems strange to me that since I started using them now I have these issues.

I am now a victim to this scam company, claiming i owe them $27.00 and can't explain where the bill if from. I NEVER received a letter in the mail or phone call from them directly. You have to leave a message because they're so busy scamming other people, who did they screw to get access to the credit agencies to place these false claims on our reports. Pisses me off when i've been working hard to build my credit up over this bogus $27.00 charge.

Apparently i'm in the same boat as most folks here.  I just checked my credit and Torres showed up with a $74.00 collection from Sound and Spirit (which is another CD company). It says it was opened October 2010.  I have no clue what this charge is! I've never bought anything from Sound and Spirit!!

you might wanna check with the people you were living with every think the could open this in your name?????

Just a word or two of advice, when you pay a collection agency get a letter showing that it is paid. Some agencys are debt buyers and other work with the company that you owe the money too. The 3rd party collection agency do not always report a payment like they are to do, so that probally why you got a letter from this Torres Credit Place. You might just want to check with the origanal company that you owed just to make sure that this account is in fact cleared and that there are no other debits in your name

Wow, can't believe all the folks reporting the same experience I'm having as well.  I got the same thing and apparently also from a CD (Music) company from 2005!!  In my case it just showed up couple months ago on my credit report - I have been living at the same address since before 2005 and no one has been trying to collect anything from me until this showed up.  Sounds to me like the music companies just made a sweet deal on selling their old collections accounts that they had given up on.

I had a number for Torres Credit Services on my credit report and was able to call and speak to someone.  They weren't rude, but the assumption throughout the call was that I owed the money and the only way to make this go away was to pay them.

Also, I was given a different address than the one on my credit report to correspond and/or pay them which I find very interesting.  I will be calling the postal service to validate that address before I do anything.

WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THESE SCAMMERS.  AS SOON AS I PAID EVERYTHING OFF OF MY CREDIT REPORT, ALL OF A SUDDEN I GET THE $32.00 CHARGE FROM TORRES CREDIT.  I NEVER HEARD OF THEM, NEVER ORDERED ANYTHING FROM BMG (I SEE THIS IS WHAT MOST PEOPLE ARE SAYING), AND CAN'T GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE AT TORRES.  THIS FREAKING $32 CAUSED MY SCORE TO GO DOWN 68 POINTS!!!!!!

I PULLED MY CREDIT AN IT SAID I OPENED AN ACCOUNT WITH BMG WHICH IS KINDA FUNNY CUZ I WAS IN JAIL (INCARCERATED ) THE TIME THE ACCOUNT WAS OPENED , I CAN TELL YOU ONE THING IS FOR SURE IS I WASNT OPENING ACCOUNTS WHILE I WAS IN JAIL , FEDERAL PRISON AT THAT .HUH SCAM SCAM SCAMMERS

I really think this company is a scam.  They reported me to the credit bureau for 33.00 and posted it about 11 times.  What can be done about this company

this TORRES CREDIT SERVICES is charging me a $31 that make my credit score go down...i just then found out from my quarterly credit summary and they filed 9 times for 31 i did not even know where they got from..this is a b....t!!this company must close..

I pulled a credit report and this company was on it. I tried calling the number and it "was no longer in service" Who are they and I don't owe a bill of  $55 dollars. I have not gotten a phone call yet, so this must be a SCAM.

I recently pulled a copy of my credit report, and I noticed that my score dropped 70 points from 711 to 644. I then noticed that I had a negative item on my credit report from Torres Credit Services for $33.00. I called them and they told me that the only way that the debt will be settled is by paying it. Not realizing that I have personally cleaned up my own credit, I told them that I am not paying them. I wanted proof of this debt, and they told me that they have a letter from the original creditor stating that I owe this debt. I requested a copy of the letter from them, and they told me that they can't give me any information. They have lost their minds!!! I will not pay this bill. THEY ARE A SCAM PEOPLE!!!
NO PROOF= NO PAYMENT!!! We must fight back and stop letting these sharks in suits take our hard earned money. I was about to begin the process of purchasing a home, and now  I can't even purchase my home right now (with a good interest rate) because of this crap!!!

These people are the bottom feeders of collection.  They are on my credit report as an inquiry and looking to get $31.00 out of me on some fake bill I never had. They keep violating FDCPA !!! They can bite my a**!
