Maybe a better way is to record someone blowing a whistle... then when you answer it turn on the recorder... then they get a whistle blown in their ear !!!

just got one from this number and caller id says directory asst PA.  I just let it ring. If I don't know the number I just let voice mail get it. I never answer......

I live in Florida. Man said he was called from Home Security. I told him I was on the Don Not Call List. He hung up.

Got another call today. Told them not to call again. That I reported them and a woman said you don't even know me and hung up.

I've gotten 3 or 4 calls from this number; I answered one , some security system selling, I hung up on it. I am also on the Do Not Call list.
In the last 3 weeks, I've had calls from Canadian numbers, 800-numbers, and 555-1212 numbers. Apparently, someone has a new program that spoofs different Ma Bell numbers, and has sold that program to many telemarketers.
What I will do next time, is answer, start recording it, get the company name, and then file the complaint on donotcall.gov --- It doesn't do any good to file the complaint with the bogus number -- GET the COMPANY name. Every valid complaint is a 10,000 dollar fine for them. Put the azzbutts out of business.

They have started calling my cell phone. No message and no response when we answer.

How is this page going to help. There are millions of these post and the Scammers are still going strong. You can call your phone company,and they don't even know where the call comes from. But if You do something Wrong the Police are at Your door. Why because they can trace Your Number. How Conveniet.

I'm in the Midwest, so a call from an unknown number in PA went unanswered. It's been calling every few days for the last couple of weeks. They never leave a voicemail.

I ilve in a southern state and have gotten calls from this person supposedly advertising a security company. I have gotten the same call from a number in AL. But the arrogant attitude of the man that called today tells me he also called using another scam with a fake 800 number. He thinks his computer technology is protecting him, but the more he calls the same number with different scams the closer he gets to being caught. He says he is not breaking the do not call list because he is not selling anything, but that only means he is doing something illegal.

Appears these idiots are using everything in the scam  book using this number and Directory Assistance????????? stupid people!!!

I was intrigued when Directory Assistance 1-717-555-1212 kept calling several times until I answered.  Since my number is on the do-not-call registry, I knew a scam was in process and what idiot chooses to spoof Directory Assistance, really?  A non-profit calling wouldn't be spoofing a number.  I answered the call and he said he was from GE Security Monitoring.  I simply hung up.

This number keeps calling.   Who are they?    " Dir Assistance  Pa " shows in caller id field.

Strange to see DIR ASST on display, so let voice mail answer.
