I just received the same kind of call - a man (called himself Deputy Phris) with a strong Indian accent claimed that an officer Alex Watson from NYPD had filed a federal complaint against me and I had to call 646-453-6981 to respond to the charges.  I called CT State Police Troop A and they said they do not have deputies and that this sounded like a scam.

so, they finally went too far.... I blocked the number, so they called from another 717 number.  I blocked it, they called at my work, I hung up, and then Officer Chris/Alex Watson called from a local number - my caller ID app identified it as a call coming from our jail.  I called the local police and was spoke with a police officer, who took the information and said it is absolutely a scam and since he is attempting to commit fraud that I need to talk to a detective in the environmental crime department.... I am so over this....

I am receiving too many calls to count daily on my home number and my work number.  I have told "Alex Watson" to never call my work number again, and it continues, I have also sent a text the number and told them to stop calling both numbers, and that I do not owe a company called USA Payday any money, and that I am in contact with any creditors I may have and have been assured that there is no one looking to place a warrant for my arrest.  I am at my wit's end, because logically I know it is a scam, but as a single mom,  having calls threatening a warrant is about to make me crazy.... I would love to shut this jerk down. Alex Watson can't decide if he is from the FBI, the Federal Fraud Department the government crime department, and sounded exactly like the first unknown caller who claimed to be Deputy Chris. He will call 4 or 5 times in an hours time.  I have archived all of the messages that hes has left, but he also calls and hangs up on my voicemail.

I live in the Bay Area. I received a call this morning from 911, and the caller, consistent with the other reports, identified himself as Detective Grace, and indicated there was a case against me and that I should call officer Alex Watson, or else risk being investigated by the California State Police Department. I had heard about this scam before, and thank you to all of those on this website who have confirmed the same. The names are always the same, or similar, but this is a nationwide scam. First, the police will never call and ask you for money. If there are any charges against you you will just show up at your door. Second, there's no such organization as the California State Police Department.  The caller had a heavy East Indian accent. Please no one give money to these people.

I work for a collection agency, a legitimate collection agency that follows the rules.  NYS & NYC has some of the most uptight laws in the nation regarding collection agencies, especially consumer collections, so if caught this agency would probably be fined into bankruptcy.  I am in Texas, so therefore I was to call officer Jack Daniels from the Texas State Police Dept.  I would be happy to work with anyone interested to find this company and have them reported for their ILLEGAL collection efforts.  They are breaking so many laws, they are not to tell you they are from any entity other than their own, unless they are doing 1st party collections with the original creditor, in that case they should state they are with the original creditor, and using the caller ID name and number of '911' and 'Emergency number'?  Yeah... if anyone has any other info that may help to track this company down, let me know!  Thanks!

This number called me saying he was the Ohio State Fedral Police Department and that I need to call office Jack Daniels. If I don't call a warrent will be out for my arrest. What the heck. I know that I am in good standing with the law cause I just had a background check done ans I was clean. This is getting annoying. What can I do to get it to stop?

This is a scam.  I too received a call and this "Alex Watson" (thick Indian accent) told me a warrant was being processed for my arrest.  After a bit of mumbo jumbo on his part, I interrupted him and demanded to know the reason he was calling me.  He stated it was because a creditor was demanding payment.  I asked him the name of the creditor and he stated it was Payday Loans.  Since I have never gotten a loan from them, I knew this was a scam.  But I didn't tell him that, rather, I explained to him that owing a lender money was not a matter for which one can be arrested and that no court in the country was going to issue a warrant for an overdue bill.  I then informed him that I had looked up the phone number before I called and discovered the entire matter was a scam.  At that point, surprise, surprise, he hung up on me.

I first received a call from 9-1-1 Emergency yesterday.
"Deputy Chris" said he was calling from the CA State Police Department.
He said he had received a complaint and I needed to call Officer Alex Watson to justify.
Deputy Chris gave me the 717-557-0427 number to call.
I called and "Alex Watson" sounded very similar to Deputy Chris with a strong Indian accent.
He said I could settle the complaint out of court, but if the case gets downloaded he won't be able to help me anymore and I would have to hire a lawyer and go to court in Pennsylvania.
He had quite a bit of my personal information and he did not even verify my identity and was sharing over the phone.
He wanted me to pay $975.00 to settle the case!
I opted to do more research and see if I could get anything in writing which he is refusing to provide.
& that is where it is at today.

This is not real!! I received a message I could not understand claiming to be from the Florida State Police Department. They said that they were going to arrest me if I didn't call back officer Swanson at this number. I called and there was no voicemail stating the agency name so I hung up. They immediately called me back and a man with a think Indian accent was on the other end. I immediately asked that he identify himself and he's hesitated and then said he was with the FBI. I let him know that claiming to be with the FBI when not was a federal crime and that I was taping the conversation (I was not), I asked that he confirm he was with the FBI and he hung up on me. This is a SCAM! They want money do not entertain them!

I got a call from someone claiming to be NYS police officer Alex Watson Badge#25 telling me that an unauthorized warrant would be placed. When I called back the guy was foreign and it was very hard for me to understand him.  I've never been arrested and I need to know if this is fraud on his behalf.  Help
