i recvd lot of calls from 717-685-2487 regarding pay money for irs his name is basheer malik and paul wilson and they said if u not pay such amount u r in jail and deported,,,i called irs and chk my balance they said no u dont have any balance.i surprised they keep calling me.i request to fbi nvestigate thanks,,,

Received a message from state investigator to call back 717 685-2487 to discuss this otherwise I will face the consequences when I called the number there was a message to to contact ext 509 and leave info, the it said an error occurred. this is a scam

Someone who called himself Greg Brown of State Investigation Department of the IRS, called us this morning, threatening to get us arrested unless we paid $3000 plus change immediately - and not by check or money order or credit card! The only address he gave us was

The person had a thick African accent, but we could hear another person in the background speaking in Hindi. After wasting a good 45 minutes, we hung up the phone.

Same thing happened to me today - 7/22/13....he called me twice, I definitely feel he is an Indian guy, an elderly guy.

I got a similar call saying my husband and I are legal investigation, calling from Paul Wilson's office. I called, so a lady with Asian accent picks up and asks for my number...I said no, and asked whose legal office is this, she did not give me straight answers,so  I asked "how many are you there who is running a scam there?"
She replies 'Oho scam....I am not going tell who we are....I will transfer you to Paul who is waiting for my call" then she ask for my name, then asks me if I am married, the moment is say I am married say yells 'hey David this one is not for you, she is married. Have a nice day ma'm'. I am so pissed, while I am typing this, I get another call from the same person threatening action and asking if state police has called me...I told you I am right now reading stories about him on the internet telling people same stories so go f*** himself. I will also call local police to report this.

Somebody called and left message to call 717-685-2487, saying I am under somekind of investigation.
I called back this number and after several attempts I was able to this guy. He seems to be having South Asian tone possibly Indian or Pakitani. He said I did something wrong with the bank and under investigation
by the state investigation board and owe money to us government/iRS. When I said i have done nothing wrong and I myself is Enrolled Agent, He then hung up. I think this is some kind of hasell to lot more
people of south asian origin too.

She told her name as Rose Johnson and gave her number as  7176852487
She claimed to be from the Crime Investigation Department in Harrisburg. She said I skipped my Federal Tax amount in violation of IRS for $ 1789.00. If I don't pay right away I will be arrested with a Penalty: 25000/-
When I asked to talk to a supervisor. She said she is herself the supervisor. She had my old address on record that means she is not from IRS as they have my current record. when I called back on the number the same woman's voice was there.  It looks like a prank to me. But I am afraid they will make some innocent guys fool. Authorities need to investigate it quickly.

Got same phone call ,jack green officer from state investigation dept and advised to call back at this number and his caller id number was from toronto, ontario.talked with police dept and advised not to give any info.

I got a call from this guy who called himself McTaylor. My dad picked up the phone and took down his contact details. He called again today and left a voicemail. Both times he said he is from the state investigation department. I wish I am here to pick up the phone, just to tell this guy how juvenile this threat sounds and only someone not from this country would think this is a valid threat.
Anyways, I wish the cops would do something. The fact that I am on a do not call list and have to deal with these jokers is just plain painful.

Got the same call probably from the same guy. Reported to local police. They advised me to not give them any information related to credit card, SSN or any other personal information. I have also blocked the number  and as per the telephone company they use third party software that does not reveal their true telephone number, which makes it difficult to trace. So the best advise from the police officer is not give out any information even when a legitimate number calls you. You hang up and call back this way you know the person at the other end is from a source you trust and recognize.

I also received a call. it looked like the person who called had Asian accent with the name Mathias.I had a suspicion that it might be a bogus call and your website confirms it.

Some body with an asian-indian accent left a message on my home telephone on 7/17/13 saying he was a crime invesitgator and that I should call back to avoid arrest and settle the matter. Next morning I returned the call to that number: 717-685-2487. This time some mexican sounding voice appeared stating he was an investigator and it was the State Crime Department. He said that I had unpaid taxes despite repeated reminders and that I was liable for arrest. I told him I would report his allegation to my accountant and attorney and they will look into it. Then he hung up. I did not receive a phone call like this in decades! Initially I was disturbed by it.
  I investigated that phone number and quickly I came to know it was a FRAUD. The phone number did not belong to any State Department. I reported  the matter to my local police department and to my accountant. The police department is investigating the matter. They told me it is hard to locate these idiots. They could even be operating from another country!!
  I wonder how THESE IDIOTS ARE ALLOWED TO EXIST WITH THESE STUPID ACTIVITIES, HARASSING AND INTIMIDATING INNOCENT CITIZENS. THEY SHOULD BE IMMEDIATELY TRACED AND TAKEN INTO ACTION. THEY ARE BRINGING A BAD NAME TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT. I was told by my local police investigator that these peope can operate from anywhere although the phone company belongs to Pennsylvania:ADELPHIA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS OF HARRISBURG, INC., I would like to know how this company is providing phone access to fraudulent activities. Some state department should put an end to this STUPID activity.
  The law abiding and tax-paying citizens have a right to demand this service from the STATE!!

Got the same call and I called back.  Heard an Asian voice at the other end as well as a lot of other similar voices in the background.  He said criminal investigation had begun because I had not paid taxes.  Told me that the state police was getting ready to arrest me.  I said all my taxes are paid and I have proof.  Send me the legal papers and my tax guys will take a look and respond.  The guy hung up at that point saying something to the effect of "coming to arrest you"...

Got a call today from this number and advised that I have a legal action on my name and it is urgent and emergency to call back. He reported his name as Paul Wilson. Called back to the number it is definitely a Asian Voice. Told them I will report to Police. She told not to call back again.

Same thing here ... office was/is Edwin Jones. Could not really understand what he was saying other than that I am responsible for legal action against me :) I am planning to call him anyway ... sounds legit ;)

I received a phone call from this number and the person left a message that he is an officer "Jim Parker" and he is from "Security Theft Department". He said that someone file a affidavit against me and he is ready to start legal action against me and time is an essence and i should call him immediately.
So i called back this number and the person picked the phone said "Security Theft Department" and then i asked him to provide the Address and Phone number of Police Department, he hanged up.
I called the number again and he said "f*** your self". His accent seems like some one from "South Asia",as i am from South Asia and can identify the accent.

I will call our local Police Department and report this incident.
