Got call today. No message.  I paid my student loans off 10 years ago in order to buy my house.  But? I've only had this phone number about 8 months.  May be trying to Reach previous owner of this number?

So Rome-you would just willingly give your social security number out to someone because they claim to be representing this company?  Now who is the idiot? If they have indeed purchased your student loans or whatever should they have not contacted you via mail first to confirm that you must make arrangements to began paying them?  Sorry but I would not give out my social security number to anyone over the telephone!

The Government or any ligit business does not ask for personal infornation over the phone.
A message was left saying they will need me to all back giving them my social security number.

Then WHY do they not contact you by mail first letting you know that the loans are coming due and these are your payment options. Companies cannot expect you to start handing out  social security numbers over the phone just because they say they are FedLoan.  It is not up to us to make payment arrangements-they are the people who are loaning the money.  Please do not call people idiots-would you give out your social security number over the phone to someone you really do not know.  If you do then who is the idiot.

I love how politicians and banks more or less steal from taxpayers left and right, but if i get behind on my student loans because i'm out of work for a few months, i get harassed endlessly.  God forbid the banks don't get a few hundred bucks for me. How about you just apply my part of the hundreds of millions you ripped off from us in the last bailout until I get caught up? Yeah, do that.

They are telling me they are from the student department education industry.

I got a call not too long ago.  She ran off my birthdate.  I told her its after 8pm & hung up.

I'm not sure about the calls, but I did receive an email from "FedLoan Servicing" in regards to a loan.  I'm in college now (as an undergraduate).  I do have loans, but they aren't to be repaid until I graduate.  When I hover my mouse pointer over the sender's name "FedLoan" doesn't pop up.  Elabs7.com pops up!  I just wanted to warn you folks because the phishers are out there.

Reading through this makes me wonder if you are connected to Fed Loans.... you are very rude and dismissive of people who are either confused or unable to get a job.  I signed for my student loans through Nelnet, and to find that another servicer has them is confusing and stressful, not a reason to be a jerk about it.  And as for paying them off, I wish I could just pay them off, but since I was too stupid not to plant a money orchard in my back yard, then I'll just have to keep making payments when I can!

I received a call from this number with no message.  I was really upset to learn that it is FedLoan Servicing.  I do have student loans with them, but I am not behind with them!  I have received no mail from them, or emails, or messages of any kind to tell me that I may or may not have loans coming out of deferrment.  Adds more stress!

Not True.... When i took out my US Dept Ed & Salie Mae Loans in the 90's my Account was my SSN.  So any time I want to talk to them they wanted your SSN because that was your Account#.  Not saying I agree with it or liked it just stating the fact.  They since change it but my loans still have socail as the Account number or as part of it.

They might not be calling about you...  Could be a family member or a friend... So they just might want info on were to find someone or get you to harass the person there looking for becuase you want them to stop calling you.  This person could have put you down as a reference contact(not a co signer) at some point.

They called me this morning and they are the most RUDEST people I have ever spoke to in my life! I explained to them to call my mother to speak with her and told her that she was at work and the lady demanded to speak with me and my mother at this exact moment. If Fed Loans wants to come to Iowa and arrest me for not paying my student loans, let them. I'm not taking any more calls from these people or anything. I am fed up with them calling me all hours of the day even when I am at work. If they read this, they need to know about the harrassment. If YOU want us to give you the money we owe you for going to school, why don't you find us a JOB that will give you the money we owe you? Most of us can't even find a job we went to school for!!!!!!!! All because you stupid a** people voted for Obama. Seriously.

A college degree is not a sign of intelligence.  It is a sign, however, that you have a few years and several thousand dollars to kill.  That's all you really need to get a college degree...time and money.

That's not true...I keep getting calls from y'all and I'm paid up!  It's disgusting that you would think that way.  Not everyone is a deadbeat, you know...sometimes people get sick...sometimes things happen in life.  If you've led a life where you've never had a surprise repair bill or gotten sick, then good for you, but know that everyone else in the world suffers from some sort of difficulty.

I have never taken out a student loan in my life, and they called me today.  I definitely wouldn't give them any personal info...

I received a call from this number today.   Read through some of the messages on here and some are saying they are calling about student loans.  Well I have never taken out a student loan so this definitely has to be a fraud.  Please be aware everyone, and never give out personal information.  If they are calling to settle up a debt they should already have your information on file.

Here's the issue though, I don't owe any money and have never gotten a statement.  The only way for them to look up my account or anything is to get my social which is a bunch of s***.

The DNC list only pertains to cold callers (people who you have never dealt with).  If you have a previous business relationship with, or a company sold your information to, a teleservice firm, you have to ask specifically to be placed on their internal DO NOT CALL LIST.  You have to say that part verbatim.

Same here.  I have never been to college, however I've been receiving phone calls from this number.  When I call back, the automated system won't let me speak with a rep unless I give them either my account number, which I don't have one, or my social, which I'm not going to just hand out without some sort of proper verification.

I am ready to begin a class action suit against these F's. Anyone else?
Last servicer was fine, good people. FedLoan people, I'm sure (ironically), never spent even 1 day in any school. Liars, incompentent, rude.

I have been getting the same calls and I pay my loans. No messages left. Not sure why they still call when they are getting their money. They never leave a message.

The number 717-720-1618 has also called me. They may have called before, a lot of calls that ring once and then hang up. A lot of unknown caller on the caller ID . Do not have and never had a  student loan. Have had my phone number for many years. And .... no , I know no one who would have a loan and use my number . The caller ID shows PENNA COMNWLTH.
