Legitimate business entities do sometimes get their phone numbers hijacked by unethical telemarketers; just today news article about some poor businessman in Windsor, Ontario, who's getting slammed with irate people who think he is the one harassing them with nasty spam calls. Hurting his business, wasting his time, killing him with stress.

Get calls from this number.   They leave no message. I don't answer calls I don't know.  I am 68 years old, never been to PA don't have a clue.   I am a widow and live alone.  They should leave message and then I would call them back.

Debt Collector
I acknowledge that I have student loan debt, but they usually call me like once every two or three days.  Today, Christmas Eve, they've called me four times.  Piss poor business practice.

They aren't scammers...You don't even have to co-sign or give a wrong number. They can track people down through past addresses, references, etc...

This company is a debt collection company, not the govt. looking to collect. Once you get to this point they are about to start garnishing.

No, I'm not a character from someone's conspiracy theory trying to trick people into calling. Just using common sense and experience.

It's kind of funny that these sites have to be created so that people can find information on the people who they owe money too, and once it's determined to be a debt collector, well then it must be a scammer trying to trick you into calling their scam.

Yea, we all owe money...it stinks, but we do owe the money. You may sit there with absolutely no way to pay your debt back, but that doesn't mean it's the "American way" to borrow money, then try to invoke some right to not be bothered when you skip out on paying it back. It's just a sad situation, and your phone ringing every fricken day is a consequence. A consequence that we all pay for our stupidity.

I for one, haven't benefited for a darn thing I owe money on...Ironically, the things I still have and use today are things that I payed cash for...I guess that's what credit is for, instant gratification, not common sense.

I just can't believe people actually get an attitude about companies trying to get their money back. If it's harrassment to go to that length just to make contact with borrowerer, then why isn't not paying money back, and going to the length of avoiding the lender, considered stealing?

I'm not saying it should be...I'm just saying how can you get that mad when what we have all done to them is much worse.

I believe they won't leave a message because once they do they are done for the day. A debt collector or telemarketer can not keep calling and leaving messages. If they don't leave a message, they can keep calling.

My step-duaghter gave PHEAA my number as secondary number. Even though I have spoken to them a few times, giving them her current number and address, and asking them to remove my number, they keep calling. So, next step is a "cease and desist" letter. I am no longer married to her father and she has not lived here in more than six years. So very frustrating.

Just got a call. Phone only rang 3 times before they disconnected.
For the people commenting on Fedloan, they have always left a message with an 800 callback #.

Got a call from these people this evening. I don't have student loans and never DID have student loans. If that is what these calls are about then it's a scam. Look how many people on these pages are NOT people they are looking for if they are legit. This is a scam.

I picked up and they said it was an outstanding student loan - I also have an automated payment that I get taken out of my account every month and am good standing as well so I have NO idea what's going on! I created an account on their website to see what they had for my information, it said it was a loan from the college I attended and when I called my college's financial office they said they had no record of it.

I know this is old but sometimes if someone you know that you might have co-signed with or someone used your number for their loans. they are trying to figure out whats going on and you just have to explain to them its not you.

Fedloan, fedloan oh please stop calling me and you don't ever leave a message either.  When I actually answer the phone, it is all static.  And why are you and other companies allowed to list different names for your company?  The phone reads P.H.E.A.A, which is very close to PHEAA a PA state agency for grant money to assist college students.  I like most people have caller id. and this is beyond harassement.  Leave us all alone, there are millions of others to bother with your antics.

This is a scam. If it was a business then there number should be listed. I did a reverse look up on the number and it said it was an unlisted number. And they never leave a message.  I pay my student loan regularly and have never been late, and have never gave my info to anyone for a reference. The people commenting on here saying it is legit are probably scammers themselves.
