I was getting calls from these people a couple months ago.  One of the people calls himself Mike Scott.  After reading these posts about what they are doing to other people and how to handle them, first I told them that they were calling too early in the day, since it was just after 7 a.m. in my area.  Then I told them that they should send me the paperwork so my attorney could look at it.  I told them they had five days to send it by US Mail.  He (Mike Scott), told me he would do that and I would have to resolve the matter in court.  I did this to another supposed debt collector and have never received anything in the mail yet.

This is a new number for an OLD scam that has been going on for a while.

They call and claim they are from the "Federal dept of crime"  or some "criminal investigation" group.  They are foreign and you can barely understand them, but give names like "Steven Adams" or "Sam Johnson"

They want you to give them your credit card number or bank account to "pay off a debt" so you don't "get prosecuted"

GIVE THEM NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another number they use is 214-699-0536.

They call repeatedly for an employee of mine. I just let them have it on the phone.  Hopefull they will give up on us.
