I get calls from DCS but they say they are collecting money for Cancer research...nothing about loans, etc.   I get multiple calls per day from this number...or similar ones...all DCS.

This is a debt collection agency... Unfortunately they will not tell you who they are collecting the debt for, so I hung up. I spoke with a lady named Olivia; she told me her company name DCS but not the name of the debtor. If debt collection agencies wouldn't be so secretive and just come out and say what company hired them to collect the debt, people wouldn't feel as though they are being harassed; they would in my opinion be willing to go ahead and start making payments.

They called me today July 29, 2011 and asked for me by name and verified my address.  Then they started talking about a local store that had changed hands twice since November of or 2010.  They inquired about my ownership of the store.  I told them I had no part in the business.  Yes, I was a customer but not an owner in any way shape or form.  They apologized and said my name and address would be removed form their files.  We will see if they do.

I regularly get calls from collectors who instead of tracking down the actual debtors, call me because my name is similar to theirs and hope that I can help them do thier job for them.  

I also get calls from collectors because I once lived at an address *similar* to an address where somebody who once owed money lived (totally different town!).

Try to tell them that you're not that person and they get crabby with you and want you to prove it.  F Off!

Don't presume people who check this list owe money, because I have had a perfect credit history for my entire life.  Rather, we are sick and tired of these bossy rude people harrassing us on a regular basis at all times of the day and night.

Yes they are a d@M collection agency. It may not be you they are trying to collect from. If they call and ask about your neighbor, advise them you do no know your neighbors and that if they call you again, you will report them not only to the BBB, but to the local law enforcement as a harassing caller. Did that and have not received another call.

And be advised, that is not an empty threat when you tell them that. I am retired law enforcement, and few people realize that such a report can be made. Especially those of you that are receiving multiple calls weekly or worse daily. Stand up to the bully and 95% of the time the bully will back down. If the calls continue, file the reports. They are easy to file and someone has to stop the harassment, especially if it's not even your account they are after.

This company keeps calling and calling asking for my neighbor. Says they looked him up on the web and noticed I lived near by him...Jeff Spieliers...please pay your damn debts and look for a summons to court, I'm sick of getting your calls from your collection agent!!

I just received a call fromk 717 961-5100. Asked if I was an investment banker.

If a debt collector calls you and asks for your neighbor its usually because they looked up to see who lives near by you neighbor so they can verify if they still live at that address so they can either send out a process server to sue them or to send them things in the mail

I received calls from 7179615100.  I did manage to get a "little" data from Heather, the woman who answered the phone when I called the number back.  She stated she could not disclose why I was called unless I had an account.  Since I could not ascertain if I had an account with them due to the fact that I didn't know who "them" was.  She told me the company name is DCS.  I assumed it was a debt collector (they like to use acronyms).  I gave her my telephone number that had been called so that she could check if I had an account with them.  She found nothing associated with my number.  I did a search on Google and found the name of Diversified Collection Services.  A collection agency for unpaid debts for Student Loans and non-tax debts to State and Federal agencies.  I have no unpaid debts, but I did have a roommate that did not repay her student loans.  Could be that they are trying to track her down OR it was a wrong number.

Got a call from "Brad"  he asked me if my middle initial was __  and I asked who he was, He told me he can't give out any info until I verify my info.  Smells like fraud to me BEWARE

I called them back, they asked what # I'd called from and said they had no idea why I'd been called.

Yes, they called and asked about my neighbor as well...however, he called me by my last name. I think they are bill collectors. I called back but they wouldn't provide me with any information as to who and what the company stands for.

Called my office about an important matter of a personal nature. I told them there was a policy of no personal phone calls at my office.

This number calls from 8 in the morning until 10 almost everyday. Won't leave a message..

i keep getting this call and no one leaves a message aand i just happened to look it up on google glad i did will never answer it thanks

Calls 3-4 times per day then takes a break for a week or so and then calls again 4-5 times a day...

Important information for you.

Please stop having this company call me. When I call back then I'm told they have never called me when the number is on my caller ID.... I have the same last name as this person but they do not live here. You skip tracers really need to do a better job

Tell me why your company harasses me and my home because my last name is the same as the person you are trying to reach? Tell me why your company will NOT take my number off your calling list because I DO NOT KNOW WHO YOU ARE LOOKING FOR?
