Get multiple calls a day, sometimes every hour from noon to 9PM. Started about 2 weeks ago. Haven't picked up because number looks weird. Caller ID says "New York". Thought it was Con Ed but my bill was paid up days ago. If you read all the comments it seems like everything from homeland security to political campaigns to outsourced call bank. Will just let it ring, annoying as it is.

I have been receiving multiple calls every day from this number.  I have caller ID so I don't pick up the phone and they do not leave any messages.  Yesterday, the phone rang every 5 minutes from when I got home from work until 7:30 p.m.  Any way to block them from calling anymore?

The past three days literally every hour until 8pm I'm getting calls on our house phone from this number, I just picked up this last time and it was a man with a indian accent telling me he was calling about my phone and electricity bill. Yea right. This was a lot of noise in the background like it was a call center. I need this to stop immediately.

There are call blockers available. Buy one and block this number. The phone companies should offer unlimited call blocking for free but they don't want to help their customers.

We keep getting these calls.  Seems like a strange #.  I have stopped picking up these calls.  There should be something available to us to stop these nuisance calls.

We received a call from (718) 000-0000 on October 25, 2012 @ 7:11 pm.  CID read "Name Unavailabl.".  No message left on our answering machine.

Just got a call from this number. The guy whispered something illegible then hung up. I've gotten this call before and whenever my husband answers there are no replies. We are no longer going to answer this. It's getting spooky.

I did get a legitimate customer follow up call from dealfind website regarding an issue I had with one of their deals. I didn't pick up because all zeroes looked strange, but the message they left was legit and appreciated - great to see dealfind follow up on customer complaints with a phone call.

Asked for my boss by name and from all the background noise - definitely a call centre.  Sorry folks, you won't get through to my boss.  Whatever you're selling - we aren't buying.  Just wish these telemarketers would quit calling.

Why are they bothering me??? I am on a DO NOT CALL list! I expect them to honor my request. If I wanted to be bothered, I would NOT have signed up.

As I was looking up this number the phone rang in my hand and it was this number. Nobody left a message. We too are on the DO NOT CALL list but they keep calling! I can't stand this.

This number has called as early as 6am and as late as 11pm and never leaves a message. The DO NOT CALL LIST IS A JOKE!

This number can be used by many companies.  i work for a limo company and anytime they call the client, this number appears on id. I think they request the phone company for that feature.

These idiots have been constantly calling me for about four or five days and spamming my land line phone in box with stupid messages. The messages start off  with jazzy music tracks, followed by various people asking for me by my first name, then saying 'thank you for your time' and hanging up.

I am really beginning to hate these people and wish they would just go die. I do not pick up calls from people I don't know. I have no idea what they are calling for.  They are wasting their time and annoying me.

Jerks who are running for some postion or other and think they are above the law. I wish they would be held accountable just like the companies are "supposed" to be when they call the people on the "do not call" list

i person emailed me about taking my father to a hospital, going into great medical detail, and that there is no phone in the room .....so i would have to use the 718 number......OMG....please......

It is a homeland security program, if you answer the phone you will hear a series of beeps whose purpose it is to synch all and any electronic items, in icluding hdtv, cell phones ipods etc for spying purposes.

if you are an activist or have had conversations deemed non governmental, they are simply monitoring your calls and electronic communications and viewing habits collecting info on the individulas they are calling.

I know because I used to do it for them.  

Simply do not answer the phone.  You'll find that the more you dont answer the more they will call to try to get you to pick up phone.
