Theyr'e called SB or FB Vacations or something like that. Called, left NO message, but when you phone back, you actually get someone who won't say anything other than giving that name "SB/FB Vacations" and wants your name.

Just got a call like this and gets suspicious when he they want your credit card info - when I said I wanted confirmation of the trip before I gave any info he hung up. Definitely a SCAM!

Terrible company, goes to Bridal Shows and convinces newly-weds to be to enter for a chance to win a dream honeymoon. They call every one who enters and states, with a small $299 payment per person you can go on this trip. Do NOT accept the offer and hang up immediately.

I recently went to a show (Sexapalooza) like so many others here. In those shows, 'businesses' buy their space and I guess not much research is made in what type of business it is. I will make a complaint to the event holders and I recommend everyone else do the same. It's the only way to stop this.
Anyways, I got a call last night - it was definitely too late to be respectful. I didn't answer since I was watching a movie and they didn't leave a message. Then I got a call again today... Again I didn't answer and they didn't leave a voicemail.
I decided to do a search, like I usually do with unknown phone numbers, to see where it comes from (my bf is job hunting right now). And I found this post and others where people all had this same experience. It is definitely a scam and I'll answer next time and ask to be taken off the list. If they're hiding behind a legit company, they'll have to abide.

Received a call from this number telling me to give them a credit card number for a `free` trip. Do not know how they got my number but I dont want them calling me.

both of those numbers called me as well.....called back the 718 number right away and someone picked up but then tried to hang up.... i left the phone off the hook for 4 min. because I realized that they couldnt hang up on their end...I kept saying "hello" but they just ignored me. After 4 min. i got bored... so I hung up.

OMG... Same thing as posted above... We were at a sex show in Winnipeg, MB, Canada over the weekend. Got this call today, ignored it, got it again an hour later, no message. Googled it and found this.
There's another number that has also been calling... 347-296-0624... I'm sure it's the same thing!

Received this call and didn't answer. Googled it and found this. I was recently at a trade show in Vancouver and entered a draw to win a trip. This draw was the ballot they handed out to everyone when they entered the convention centre, so if this is how they got my number that's a bit ridiculous.

We were at a sex show in halifax, NS, Canada over the weekend. Got this call yesterday, ignored it, got it again today thought i may be a friend.. It was the same thing people are saying here. Won a trip to mexico or bahamas, and only had to pay 299$ and give my credit card number to get anything in the mail. I knew this didn't seam normal when i had to give her my credit card number in order!!
glad i searched the number!

I received a call from this "company" today after putting my name in a draw at a trade show two days ago. The man who spoke acted highly professional, and I immediately believed the great news. I did not have a credit card number at this time to give him the information for the $299 deposit, so I told him to call me back this Wednesday so that I had time to check if it was a scam or not. After Google-ing it right after the phone call I found this information!
Thank you very much for the fore warning, I am a little bit too trustworthy of people, at times! Beware all those who put their information into draws - cause I did and it was a scam!

Received phone call from this number. Left no message. Received another call an hour later from 718-228-1762. Again left no message. Called back both. Got an answer on 718-228-0785. I said, "Hi, I just got a call from this number" The guy said, "Oh...sorry" and hung up.
I was recently at a wedding show and signed up to win a free vacation. I assume this is what it is about. I read the above information and most others who were receiving calls from this number seem to be in the same situation. I am guessing that they have a system that dials the calls out and if you call the number back they have no clue who you are and that is why they hang up. I bet they will call back again, and I will tell them to take me off their list.

I am in Canada and got this call several times in the morning, early November 2008. I answered the phone and was immediately asked "is this <my first name>?".
I asked "Who's calling please?" The woman at the other end said "Is this <firstname>?" I repeated "Who's calling?" She said "Oh sorry, my name is Denise. Is this <firstname>?" I said "I asked who was calling." Her: "I told you, it's Denise." Me: "Yes, you told me your first name, which tells me nothing about who you are. Who are you?"
She immediately said "oh sorry, I..." and CLICK. She hung up. Calling back gave me a "Sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed. Check the number and try again." message.
These people are unethical at best, and they are bloody persistent. We have GOT to find out who they are.

Thanks so much for making this post. I googled the telephone number trying to find out if this was legit, and found out exactly what I needed to know.

The number has come up a few times everyday on my cell phone. I don't answer... seeing as many people found out it is a scam. Thanks for those who contributed about this number before me.

Received this call from a travel company after entering a drawing for a "Free" Vacation. The catch was that you had to give them your credit card number immediately and put $299 down to secure your "free" trip vouchers.
Be aware, this is 100% a scam. You normally do not get your $300 back and can never redeem the vacation. If you do go on the vacation, your accomodations will not be paid for ahead of time and you'll have to pay for them at that time without being refunded the charges.
