They call 3 times a day and hangs up when I say "Hello". No one on the line.

I keep getting calls from this number yet no one speaks when I answer

I have been getting called by this number all day. I called Verizon and they said this number has been disconnected since 2005 and there is nothing that they can do. They just told me not to answer the phone when that number comes up. It is all a scam and they are probably making long distance calls using your number.

They called me again, and this time I got someone to actually talk to me...They are calling about online education...he informed me that it was from MLS direct...He claims that he was calling from New Jersey...However, 718 is an area code for queens NY, and as far as I know doesn't cover anywhere in NJ...also, I spoke with Yellow Pages, and that they are pissed about this as well...They are trying to figure out why this number is pulling up as one of theirs, as it isn't...

Theses people call numerous times a day, it is a scam. Our business was charged (on our regular phone bill,Centurytel)for nothing. Literally nothing, no service, no goods, just "unspecified servies." When we called the company they said they had a recording of us agreeing to diffrent things(like doing our website...which is BS...we have an inhouse person do our website). It was a cut up recording of one of our employees saying our business name, the phrase yes,their name, and verifying our address(for the "online" yellowpages). They record you saying these things,mix them together, and jump on your local phone bill. It is not illegal either.DO NOT EVER verify your information over the  phone!!!!Hang up on these people!!!!!We have blocked calls from them through our local provider.

When you call the number back, it says it's disconnected. Now, how is that possible? LOL!!!!!

Just got another call- they hung up when I answered.  This time, the caller ID said New York, and the number, instead of unknown caller.  I'm going to keep answering until I get someone, and tell them to piss off!  Here's my posting from 3 hours ago!
I get calls from these a**holes several times a day.  I called the Operations Manager of Yellowpages.com, where this is supposedly coming from, on his cell phone: 626-379-5537 (Ops MGR: Rufus Jones.  His message says that the calls are NOT COMING from Yellowpages.com, and they are researching this problem.  Gotta love it.  When you call back the 718 number, it says it's disconnected.  I actually answered the phone this time, and they hung up on me.  I'm blocking them, and reporting them.

This number keeps calling (+7182729956) and hanging up on me. So persistent and consistant, it's become an annoying issue! What do we do?

I just started gettin the phone calls today every hour on the hour. its really annoying. But when i call back it says the number has been disconnected and no longer in service.

if any on can tell me when the hell the calls will stop that would be freaking fabulous!

I've received about 5 calls from this number in the last 24 hours.  They hung up as soon as I spoke every previous time, so I remained silent.  Auto dialers that are cranked way up are notorious for this.  About 15 seconds later some guy with an Indian accent answers, so I said "take me off your &*% list!"  He kept trying to interrupt saying it was my local yellow pages.  Then when I said "You also have a fake caller ID number" he hung up.  I suggest everyone who gets these calls to remain silent until they start speaking then think of the most insulting thing you can say and scream at them to take you off their list.

I keep getting these calls also!  Are the rest of you in the Dallas, TX area?  I am trying to figure out if they are targeting certain areas.

I have receieved 4 calls over the last 12 hours -  not even 12 hours! I havent picked up since I dont answer calls from phone numbers I dont know, but I realized that this is the same number over and over again! Its telling me NY? Any ideas?

I receive calls from this number +7182729956 and when I ignore it or let it go straight to voicemail, they never leave a message.  I did a reverse look up and found it listed Brooklyn, New York.  Can't seem to find out much more than that but IT IS VERY ANNOYING!

Spoke with Yellowpages.com, they say this is NOT a number associated with them, but a scam and they are trying to find out who is doing it.

The lady had an Indian accent and identified her self as Shirley.  She asked me if I would be interested in changing jobs.  She started to pitch on line options for retraining.  I told her I was on a no call list and she replied that she wasn't selling anything.  So I said in that case please continue.  She then said never mind and hung up.  I tried to call the number back and got a recording saying the number was no longer in service.

They've been calling every 30 minutes for the past two days.  Why!?  It's insane!

They never answer when I pick up...the call just ends. And it's driving me crazy!
Another web site said posted that it had to do with yellowpages.com. Their customer service rep said it's a new feature where you look up your business online, and have the option for them to call you when avaliable. Although I NEVER did this, supposedly a third party calls you and connects you that business. That's the 7182729956 #, and he's looking into removing my # and everything....I will let you know if it works.

I want to know this number belongs to.  They keep calling and breathing into the phone, but they say nothing.

I am getting calls from this number to my cell phone. When I answer know one is there. This has been happening for two or three days and a few times per day. It is very annoying. Five calls today!
