Here's how I get rid of these calls:
1) Landline:
(a). Hardware - Panasonic now has a new phone with a call block feature. I think it can block up to 30 numbers.
(b). Service provider. Most providers are now offering a call block feature. I use VoIP and the Callcentric service. With their feature you can block a number such as 17183010365; partial numbers such as 1718301*; or if you don't know anyone from a certain area code then use 1718*. Rather neat!! I check my phone log once a day and if I see a blocked number, I check one of the sites like this one to see if it’s from a TM. Anyway, I generally won’t call back if there is no VM message for me to listen to who called.

2. Cell Phone.
(a). Hardware - you can start off by buying a cell phone that has a call block feature but this can limit your choices of phones.
(b). Most carriers will add numbers to a block list for you. I use T-mobile and they are pretty good at this but it can be a pain calling them every time you want to add a number.
(c). T-mobile has a Family Allowance Plan (got mine for $2/month). You can limit minutes etc and it also has a call block feature.
(d). You can also buy third party software. I use windows mobile and got a great s/w called Magicall. It can block calls; sms; and about anything you want blocked. I'm use you can find similar s/w for BB or Nokia.

3) Of course there is the DNC list and filing reports.  These are helpful but the scammers and spammers will ignore the DNC list.


Overall, these features haven't stopped the TMs; Spammers, or Scammers from calling but once I enter their number into the call block I don't hear the calls! I generally set my function to send a disconnected or hang-up signal to the blocked numbers and after about a week, they generally stop calling. JAINA SYSTEMS doesn't give up though! I see this number on my call log at least once a week. But that's cool, they can waste their time not mine.

They called my work number at 6:14 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. est (apparently they work on 30 minute increments)and they left no message and when I tried to call the 718-301-0365 number listed on my caller id stating Jaina Systems N, I get a message stating, "your call cannot be completed as dialed."

They call and don't say anything on message but when you call the number back it's always busy. I am on do not call list also.

I am registered on the National Do Not Call list. Isn't this supposed to stop the telemarketers from calling?

I got a call from this number and tried calling it back but got a dial tone...this company as well as others keep calling and harrasing me about my car warranty or fincial aid ...when i hit the number to be put on the do not call list i get hung up on

Someone from this number keeps calling my cell phone. I would like them to stop. They have called twice in 20 minutes and the message they leave is "silence". I am on the do not call list and would like to report them. I think they want to get voice mail to see if anyone identify's themselves so that they can get a name. Which is a good reason not to give your name on your voice mail message....

I am on the do not call list and getting calls from Jaina Systems Network.  Looks like I am getting these calls alone.  Wish they would respet the do not call list.

2 calls within 1 hour, 718-301-0365, caller ID Jaina Systems N., but wouldn't be surprised if it was those annoying auto warranty people, they have been known to hijack numbers that are listed to other names. When you look up Jaina Systems online, their number is a 516 area code. It's not hard to go into a PBX to change what the CLID (caller line i.d.) will show. Thank God for the guy who invented answering machines! And booooo to the guy who invented auto dialers!

Claiming to help with mortgage, etc. Relief set up by the president. Caller ID shows Jaina Systems N. 718-301-0365.

International Market Research is the name of this company. I get calls from them and they don't leave a message. So I called them back and this is the name on the recording. According to the area code it is located somewhere in the state of New York. I am on a Do not call list and would like to turn them in.
