SCAM-Lady called and said that she represented a tech comp that services Microsoft Windows machines. Heavy Indian accent and nature of call made me suspect. Tried to have me install program to allow her access to my machine. When questioning her, she got upset and refused to speak with me further. She ID'd herself as Ryan from techyankee.com, which she has no affiliation with. She gave 718-303-2744 as a callback #. -SCAM

Forgot to add she said this was a Phoenix, AZ number and IT IS NOT. It's a Jamaica, NY number.

I just received a call from a lady who said her name was Lisa. She said she was calling about my windows program and had a bunch of virus'. I ask her why I should trust her she said she was working for a company named Clovus Business Solutions. When I ask her how they got my information she didn't answer my question. When I stated that I was almost positive this was a scam she got very defensive and hung up on me.

I received a call from what showed up on the phone with a number 000-000-0000.  The fellow identified himself as "Markus" and said he was the authorized company "Global Systems" to deal with virus problems with operating systems, and asked if I knew that I had many problems with my operating system, and he could tell me how to fix them.  I told him I had no idea who they were and asked to speak to his boss.  A lady came on the phone and I told her I didn't believe they were legitimate and she hung up on me.  Beware of these calls.  I think they are attempting to get into your computer to retrieve personal information or worse!!
