Received a call at 1:08AM. Woman asked if there was a problem at an address I didn't recognize. When I asked what number she was calling, she gave a number in Area Code 215. When I told her she reached 212 the woman apologized.

This was Life Alert. My father pushed alert button. They dispatched EMS

No, that is not correct. That number is a subcontractor for alarm monitoring companies. It is a ligt service. Not a scam or a "help, I can't get up" sort of thing. If one has an alarm system in one's house and it is being monitored by the company it was installed by... then they sub out the service to call the client when their alarm is tripped.

This phone number is LIFE STATION - a company that has a month to month contract with people who use their system for emergency services - like "help I have fallen and can't get up" or "someone is in our home". BTW, we truly enjoy our system as it is for our nearly blind but very active soon-to-be 95 year old Grandmother. This call was to make certain with me, the account holder, that all items have been received and that we had sent in the paperwork. When you check the difference online between Life Station and First Alert, First Alert has a 3 year non-negotiable contract that you need 6 months to cancel or it goes for another 3 years. Lots of complaints about their contract and elder people who are hearing impaired online.

Called and said my house alarm went off, and asked for a verification code. I told him that they had the wrong number, and hung up. The police didn't show up at my house. My number was changed last month, probably belonged to the alarm customer. The company is Affiliated Central, Inc., out of Brooklyn, NY, and they provide central station monitoring service.

Just got a call from this leaving a voicemail. Supposedly a medical alert company, calling to verify contact information. We don't have any service with them.

They called regarding my grandmothers home alert system - this is the device that people can wear on them and if they fall or have a medical emergency they can push a button and dial the system.
