"Out of Area "on Caller ID, answered to silence.

Missed call, came through as from New York.  No message left.

rec'd a call at 11am, didn't answer - no message left

Told him where to go and he asked me who I was to yell at him. There's some entertainment value to all this. Must have been the tenth time he called.

Got a call from this number, they did not respond when I picked up the phone. Also had V90313334400084 as the caller ID.

These are spammers claiming to be giving away solar panels. Since he claimed not to know about the DNC list, it's also safe to assume they're crooks.

The "V" indicates the call was placed using a "V dialer" --a type of robodialer. The numbers indicate the date, time, including seconds, and the sequence of calls using this dialer.

Following up to myself.

There are some threads in the forums here on 800notes talking about these
kind of numbers.  They are actually in the name field, not the number field,
of the Caller ID info.  They are apparently generated by equipment in the
junk caller's operation.

Since they are NOT actual names, they are not in the databases that most phone co's
use to provide a name for the calling number.  So depending on your (receiving)
phone provider,  you may or may not get these Vnnnnnnnnnn type numbers.
I have never gotten one on my phones, which are Verizon landlines.  So that's
why I thought HH must have something more elaborate.

My mistake.

I wish I did get these "names".  I could add that pattern to my blocking software.

Could you expand on the caller-ID you quoted, V82716055200084 ?
Ordinary residential CLID just gives you the 10-digit alleged calling number
and the 15-character name, if any, from the database.

What kind of phone service (kind of trunk, name of service) do you have that
gives you that VOIP identifier?

Just received call from Nick with regards to solar paneling.  Advised him that our Home Owners Assoc. does not allow for them he and appeared to not know what an HOA was. Must have been rightfully confused as he immediately hung up on me.

I HATE UNKNOWN #S. I DIDN'T BOTHER TO PICK UP. I FIGURED ITS USUALLY TELEMAKETER.

Got a call today from this number with the caller ID #V82716055200084.  Person on the other end identified himself as Charlie from Go Green Solar.  Charlie was informed in no uncertain terms that we are on the do not call list and their calls are unwelcome.  Useless DNC violation report filed.

Note to any telemarketer reading these:  If you don't like being yelled at and sworn at; then, don't call here.  Normally I would never behave in such a manner, but taking out my day's frustrations on these unwelcome callers has reduced my stress level substantially.

I answered the call and someone with an extremely heavy accent said he was calling from Global Energy and wanted to speak with homeowner.  I let loose on them and hung up.

this company just called me. They were trying to sell solar panels from home. When I explained to him that we lived in a shady area he immediately hung up on me. It seems sketchy to me that he didn't continue to try to sell his product Like most salespeople for, but instead promptly hung up on me.

Called them back....got a fax machine.

They called, left no message, caller ID shows out of area.  I looked up phone here and now know they are telemarketers.  This number will now be added to my call blocker.

They called but I didn't pick up.  Just wondering who they are.

Identified themselves as "Go Green Solar," and asked to speak to the homeowner.

Called yesterday, and again a few minutes ago.  No message.

The name that appears on the caller ID is S. Kawabata.  No message was left.  Number that called is 718.362-6013
