They called me and talked about a playboy issue I have. Sorry boys I got 2 kids and wife don't need that crap. Don't answer them

Call stating that a request for a discount five year subscription to The Saturday Evening Post was received without payment.  Caller explained that a check or credit card # should have been enclosed but was not, possibly an oversight by me.  Caller stated that in order to fulfill the subscription request at the discounted rate a credit card number was needed today.  I informed the caller that I do not subscribe to any publication for a five year term.  Informed caller I would have to review my records and that if a resolution of the matter was time sensitive he would have to call me back.  Hung up and immediately Googled the phone number.  Don't expect a callback.    

Calls claiming to be from a magazine I do not even get.  Rude - persistent!

They called again at 4.54p  1/4/14.  No message left. Phoney Called ID.

Asked for me by name, stated I owed for Discover Magazine said he was from billing. Told him I do not subscribe to this magazine and he said I do and stated my address. I told him the call was being recorded and someone said "stop" and hung up.

Called again 12.38p on 1/4/14.  Left no message, used V10409385500006 as their caller ID...big help.

Called our Florida land-line at 4.15p on Jan/3/14.  I didn't answer, and they left no message.  Happy New Year!!

Why do they bother. Because idiots pay them.

Got two calls claiming he was from Discover Magazine and we did not pay the bill.  Would not provide a paper copy of the bill at first.  Then after said we're not paying anything without seeing a bill he said he would fax and mail one but ended up hanging up without getting fax number.  Scam.

They are still at it.  Got a call saying I haven't paid for my TV guide subscription .  I told her that was crap and this is a scam.  Total silence on the other end of the call.

A guy saying we own  the company money on 2 magazines, one was a Travel magazine and the other was news???   They wanted my credit card info, and was very pushy about it.  I told him go %&*()) no way... LOL  I never order anything like that.
SCAM   SCAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never give out your personal info over the phone.

Called today, 11:22 am. Asked for my wife by name. I said sure, who is calling. Some guy said Forbes magazine. I asked what kind of scam is this? He insisted he was from the billing department at Forbes. I said mail it and he hung up.

Received call on 12/21 caller said he was from tv guide and that I renewed my subscription but
forgot the payment.  I told him to send the card back to me and I would take care of it. No reply he just hung up.  2nd time I have received a call from this company

Called saying that I sent in a renewal for GOLF WEEK without a payment.

I said No way and wasn't interested in providing any information

this number called me yesterday, telling me that my shutterbug susbscription is up and that the renewal information was missing my "credit card information"

I told them that this was the 2nd time they called me and that the number will be reported to the BBB. let's see what difference it makes.

Called to say that my husband had not sent payment with subscription for National Geographic, and how did I wish to handle the matter.  Turned to my husband and asked did you renew, and they hung up on me.  A scam.

Scammer called twice to try to get my credit card info, claiming he was from NY mag. Filed Police report

I just got a call from some guy who asked for me by my name and said he had a renewal card for tv guide magazine with no payment attached.  I told him I didn't renew and he asked who filled out the card.  I yelled that I didn't know and when he said I didn't have to yell I hung up on the idiot.  I only suffer fools for the shortest of times!  LOL!  

I had subscribed to tv guide mag in 2012, but didn't renew and had gotten the subscription through READ FOR A CURE.  I have contacted RFAC to let them know what has happened.  Have yet to hear back.  It's definitely a scam, but since my subscription was processed through RFAC, I'm curious to know how was my info obtained!  Is this a bad subscription renewal tactic or has someone hacked their computers to get subscribers' info or is it someone connected to the organization?  Will post more when I find out anything new!

Scam.  Claimed to be The Economist and said they were not a subscription agency.  Pulling a name out of a hat, I asked if they were in Ames, Iowa (Yes) and were employed by The Economist (again, a YES answer).  Wanted credit card information.   They left me a number in case I had an issue:  800-259-7323.  Yes, I have an issue:  it is a scam!

I received a call from this number purporting to be from The Economist, saying I hadn't paid my subscription.  The idiot on the phone hung up on me after I told him I already paid for it.

They called me in a similar manner to SD. Claimed to be DISCOVER magazine and that I had placed a renewal in October/November. I did no such thing. I wasn't sure if family had, so I told them I'd rather not re-subscribe. Obviously now they were trying to get my credit info.

Caller claims he is "Andre" w/ Smithsonian magazine & has an unresolved billing issue.  Refuses to put us on "Do not call List".   We do not subscribe to this magazine, however it was given to us as a gift. I told him this. However, he refused to send us anything in writing.

Called after 9:00 PM.  They really don't give a s#$@.  Undoubtedly a spoofed number.

It's a scam to collect credit card information. Don't answer them.

No one spoke and I received two calls from this number about an hour apart.  Caller ID listed it as unknown.
