Received call from this  number asking to help find our missing cat.  Called again  immediately after form NY number about same thing as well as California number did not pick up.  Must have gotten call from Craigslist posting about lost pets.  Thick indian ascent I believe.  

I just got a call from this number, They kept claiming that I had medical compensation from a surgery or mesh implant that I never had. They got really mad and irate when I called it a scam and kept telling me it is not and they are just trying to help people with the mesh implants. I just kept talking over the guy calling it a scam and hung up.

Warning if you receive a call from a toll free number don't call it because you can't block your number, it will show up on their caller ID

Well thank you for the warnings. I almost picked up the phone. I thought oh well NY is alright but just to be sure I thought I'd check here.

I'd been receiving Dominican Republic scam hang up calls. So I blocked the number and now this call came through. So I blocked the number and I'm reporting it. Don't answer the phone unless you know the people calling. Any info they glean from you will be used against you.

These guys have been making victims all over the world. The present themselves as "Windows Operating System" or something similar. Then they ask you some questions about your computer and try to convince you to let them in.

Once they gain access to your PC, they will steal some money from you.

They seem to be calling all over the world. I had a call all in Belgium; I of course told them to go to hell. But so many people got fooled that they started warning about it in the local news bulletins. I guess they should do the same in other countries as well.

These guys are thiefs. Beware!

I just got a call from these a***ole. The now use some kind of pre-recorded interactive messages. They said they were calling from a Municipal Court (refusing to say which one) and pretended I had unpaid parking ticket dated 2008 and needed to pay them now...

Here in Quebec, if you don't pay your parking ticket, you get your licence revoked!!!

I preported them to RCMP fraud center in Quebec and they confimed to me that these a***ole (718-377-9189) run numerous telephone scam.

Block that number!

I have been getting calls from this number lately...my new SOP for these crap calls is 1) check here 2) If listed here go to my phone settings and forward this number to another tel/marketer number verified here that I receive. If there is justice, it will drive them crazy.

I keep getting phone calls from this number and sometimes Overseas Private.  I don't know who is on the phone but I am registered with Do Not Call.  I am so sick of receiving these phone calls.  Other than this site, who can we report this to so something will actually happen?

Received first call a few days ago and then a call-back this morning.  First call was from 607-737-0186. Guy with heavy Calcutta-type accent identified himself as "Roger", a licensed representative from Windows/MS, calling to help me clean out some junk in my home computer.  I told him that only a damned fool would allow his access into my computer and I told him that I'll verify his credentials with MS and then call him back.  Then, "supervisor" "Eric" (w/heavy India-like accent) got on the phone and asked me to call back on 347-305-0088.  Sure I will, Eric.  Looks like their scam was to fleece me for approx $150, per comment on pricing from Eric.  Beware out there ! !

Apparently when you ask one of these people to remove you from the call list they get an attitude and tell you that "you shouldn't be messing around on the damn internet and s*** like this wouldn't happen" that's a quote there.. and they still don't remove you from the call list.

Just got a call from this number on my work extension, asking for me by name, then stated they were from City Bank, then hung up.

I forgot to add that when I called the number which appeared on my caller ID I got a recording which said "The number you dialed is out of service." This is not a legitimate caller.

We got a call from this number today but they hung up after only three rings before being able to leave a message. The caller ID was New York.

Got a call this morning from 718-377-9189
Said he was from Microsoft and said a long speech
I said I couldn't hear him very well so he repeated himself
I said I didn't understand him so he repeated himself again
did this for about 15 minutes
then I finally told him that I didn't own a computer
and he said good bye

No one there when I picked up call.  Caller id just says New York.

They are scammers! Don't be suckered in.

keep calling about fixing my computer, I donnt known him, claiming they from Window co. I never gave them my home phone number

Just got a call from him a little while ago. I didn't respond because it would have been expensive for me (in France they charge us even for incoming calls). Lucky that i checked the web to see who could have encountered the same call. I hope he won't call anymore. My ex-wife is already annoying me for calling every time for anything she don't understand or can't bear in her life xD

This guy who sounded like a robot with a foreign accent wanted to talk about Windows. I just told him that I didn't know what he was talking about and hung up.

SOMEONE HAS GOT TO DO SPMETHING TO STOP THESE PEOPLE FROM CALLING, FOR 10 YEARS I HAVE BEEN GETTING THESE CALLS AND I AM F------ TIRED OF IT!  IT DOES NOT HELP TO CHANGE YOUR NUMBER TO UNLISTED, OR GO ON THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY AND TELLING THEM TO GO F---- THEMSELVES, NOTHING HELPS.

My call identifier shows number is located in Broklyn NY. For those on the do not call list...when you get these calls you should.go.to the do not call website where.you registered your number and there is a section where you can report these numbers each time.they call and something will be done to stop.it but if.the numbrrs arent reported then the do not call registry is not aware of these scammers and if they get nasty just have a police officer.come.to your home report the caller for harassment and call their number from your phone and let the.offocer speak to them and ask how they can help them and what is the nature of their.call? works everytime and they immediately.hang up and never call back! This company called me today i gave them my computer id and he took over my computer, i did not give him any credit card information he told me if i paid him 80$ he would be able to clean all the viruses off my computer. Should I be worried that he now had access to my computer?

Had a call from these jokers again today let it go to voicemail and they did not leave a message. Unfortunatly my neighbor a single mother of 2 allowed the person claiming to be from " Microsoft" to remote in on her computer and install for her an anti virus program as they had detected she had a virus on her laptop. As this was a new computer she was led to believe this was a service from Microsoft. But at the end of the install he wanted her credit card to charge her $250.00 for the install and the program. She was upset enough with the guy that he stated to her he would remove it and she would have to reboot the computer after. He stated that he would give her the pass word that he changed on her while he was in there. It was so funny that the pass word was police2012. She had called me right after as I had worked on her computers in the past, and I had her disconnect from the internet and bring it to me. After almost 7 hours I had changed her log on password, cleared 6 malware programs and 2 trojans using programs I use on my computer. Be very careful of people claiming to be from Microsoft.

Same Hindu called saying he was from windows and he wanted me to go on my computer and check files. Asked for his number so I could call him back, he asked why. I asked why he was calling on a Sunday night. He proceeded to tell me he wanted to f*** me.. When I laughed, he said he was coming to my house to kill me. Stayed on the phone the whole time I was speaking to the RCMP ... Then hung up. Called back from a different number. The RCMP told me not to answer. There in the way now. Good way to waste our tax payer money... Idiots like this!
