I just got a called about this 5 mins. ago. I knew it was fishy. I am glad I google up the number because she has and accent and said her name was Jessica. I do not know how she knew there was a problem with my computer when I don't and I have a laptop and then she changed it to its the laptop that the software is not working. Glad to know it a scam.

We also received a call for 718-618-4888 saying he was from Microsoft saying there was something wrong with our computer software.  As many others have identified, it sounded like someone with an East Indian accent and identified himself as 'Joseph'.  Sounds like he wants to install software. . .my guess to put spyware in place to gather bank/credit card and other information.  

Received a call on my cell phone which came up as "unavailable". A man with an Indian accent explained to me that my computer had not been receiving Windows updates recently and they had been trying to send me these updates with no success. He went on to ask me if I was near my computer and to press certain keys on the keyboard which would bring up a window. I didn't go along with this, I asked him how he got my number and he said they have access to all numbers. He said he had been trying my home phone and couldn't reach me. Yeah, sure. He said if I didn't believe him I could take down his name and number: Michael Benjamin at 718-618-4888 with an extension ID of 104. Of course I knew this was a bunch of bull from the start. Even more so when a heavily accented Indian man says his name is Michael Benjamin. I went on to tell him I had somewhere I needed to be and I didn't have time right now. Don't fall for this crap. I'm glad to see I'm not alone receiving calls from this number.

Just got a call from this company from a lady with a thick accent claiming my computer has been tracked by my IP address and has thousands of errors and that she can "take over" and get rid of them for me. She keeps calling. Don't fall for this.

A "Michael Benjamin" with a thick Indian accent called me from a "no number" telling me my PC is not responding to upgrades.
He gave me his number 718-618-4888 so I can call him back when I'm next to my PC.

When he called my cell, I was at work and away from my home PC. When I asked him to call back at 7pm (west coast time, USA), he reacted as if it was 3am! Maybe it really is 3am in his continent!

Forget about all the affiliations with MS that he claimed he had! I'm just very suspicious of foreign folks with thick accent and names like "Michael Benjamin", "Peter Smith"...calling from "no-number" phones.

The number was used a year ago by "Tmart.com"

A "peter smith" from Computer Security wanted me to download some software updates on my Windows machine... His phone was blocked but he gave his number as 718-618-4888.  He said he was calling from Texas, but could not pronounce the city name.  

I asked him to unblock his number and call me back.  He said he was unable to do that.

Well, good, then don't call me back!  -- turkey jerk!

I also received a call from an "UNAVAILABLE" # on my cell from Computer Secure, but the caller with a foreign accent identified himself as "Peter Smith" and gave me the following phone number: 718-618-4888 & he supports Windows 7, & is affiliated with Microsoft as well.

Received an unsolicited call from an "UNAVAILABLE" number on my cell from "COMPUTER SECURE" informing me that my computer has a problem and does not allow the security updates to take place. The caller with foreign accent identified himself as "John Mason" and provided the following phone number: 716-618-4888, insisting that he can help me resolve the issue. He said that his company "COMPUTER SECURE" supports windows OS and is affiliated with Microsoft!
