Someone from this number called my mother's cellphone asking for me. I live in Georgia and have a Georgia number. The woman talked a mile a minute and was so fast that I couldn't even make out what she was saying, so I had to get the number off my mother's missed call list. Since I don't know anyone who lives in NY, I thought I would vet the number to see if it was a scam. I'm glad I did so now I don't have to waist my time calling them back.

The number 718.622.4571 comes back as Resea Addiction. I don't think that it's actually the full name of the place since I can't find anything with a search for that name. So, basically, yeah, it's some kind of scam , just as everyone who has received a call from them knows. Just throwing a little more info in the discussion. There's a great service from White Pages where you can text a telephone number to them at 566587 and if there's a name attached to the number, it tells you. There is a charge for it...per telephone number, it's like .99 or $1.99 (no charge if they don't come up with a name) but you can get a monthly subscription for $2.99. I need it for my job since I use my personal cell phone for business. I have an unlimited plan but I don't feel like wasting my time with people who hang up on my voice mail or leave cryptic messages. This way I can see who they are before I call them back. The only downside is that it doesn't work on all 800#'s and that's where most of my annoying calls come from...except for this number. For that, this forum is the best place to go as y'all probably already know. If I do answer and it's a scam or a debt collector to whom I owe nothing, I just pretend to be hard of hearing and repeat things back to them in a very loud voice. I love hearing the frustration in their voices as this continues and I get louder and louder and keep asking them to speak louder, please. Usually, I don't hear back from those people. They want to mess with me, I'll mess with them. Doesn't cost me anything and it's pretty amusing.

Was out of town when this one came in. Anyone else getting calls from 1-800-945-6596? I have 12 calls in two days and that's only the ones that were called over the days we were out of town. Same message trying to lower our credit card debt, and we have none! If you pick up the first thing they want is for you to enter your number if not it disconnects. Grrrrrrr!

Got a call from this bunch at 11:35 MDT. Trying to eat a nice Saturday brunch. Didn't answer since cellphone showed an area code for New York City and don't know anyone there. They didn't leave a message. From what I have read this same bunch calls my home phone too with a final offer which they have been giving me for the last 5 years.

Another one of the spoofed numbers used by the "card services" scammers in their attempts to rip us off. Google my name to learn how to stop their annoying calls, while also having some fun!

Called two minutes ago, left a message that there's no problem with my account, but may be eligible to reduce interest rates to 6.9% and (it's urgent to speak with them!) my eligibility expires soon so it's a final notice and I need to press 1 to speak to a live operator or press 2 to not receive further messages. They started their message before voicemail started recording so I don't know about the first 10-15 seconds of the recorded message.
Zzzz. It's kind of funny/sad how fast they're calling people... on a Saturday, no less!

Just recieved call from Heather. It soundsed like a auto voice, asking whether or not I'd like to raise me interest on my credit cards...press 1 or 2.
This is a total scam. Do not give them any information.
I added this number to my reject list.

The best thing to do with these vermin is to pretend that you have a lot of credit card debt, with a high interest rate. Then tell them you have to "find" your credit card, and do something else while they wait. This wastes their time without wasting yours. I think one of these "Rachel from Cardholder Services" clones tried to discourage that by making you wait to talk to a representative (I just hang up at that point), but they also discourage people from whom they might actually be able to steal credit card information. It cuts both ways.

Minneapolis @ 2:00 PM CDT . . . bad choice to call a U.S. Attorney on a Saturday . . . this Brooklyn NY number will be ceased by Monday

They're attacking on a Saturday.
They must be either using a boiler-room, or answering at the head shills location. The big shill and their close co-criminals are most likely picking up right now. I?ll bet they are making threats and abusing Consumers this instant.

Wow this guy us on a roll. Just got a call from this number and ignores it since I didn't recognize it. Glad I did.
I'm from California with a California number. He's hitting whoever he can.

The ones that called you were the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers so they can rip us off. People that have given these junkies their card number have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!

Called me saying it was Heather from account services and I hung up. Didn't want to take any chances

Received this call just now stated the same as others. I was going to ask her why the hell she sounded so annoying (she try to speak like a robot or automated message voice) I then ask are you calling from Chase.. She hung up with quickness. A wise move because I was about to botch at her

Called me in Saturday morning. Was an automated message at first talking about a limited time offer to reduce my credit card interest rate. The person I talked to after the message asked me if I had any other credit cards, when I asked who she was representing she said "I'm with your bank. " I asked which bank because I have two separate accounts she ignored my question and asked what my cats number was so she could calculate my new interest rate. When I asked her "if you're with my bank, why don't you know I don't have a credit card?" Needless to say she hung up.
I really hope people don't fall for this scam.
