I'm glad I'm not the only one receiving calls from this weird number. The call came to my house. My son who attends St. John's handed me the phone saying, "They say they want to speak to my parents." When I took the phone they hung up. When I tried calling back all I kept getting was a busy signal. You get concerned because you don't know if something is wrong and you start wondering if you forgot to pay something or the other. Anyway, I'm glad to see that it's not just me.

When a business has trunk lines, all the calls can get funneled through a min number on the outgoing side.  This is not the fault of the individual employees but an artifact of the way that their system is set up.

Called me during the afternoon while I wasn't near my phone. They left a message, which claimed that I had made an appointment for something on the 22nd of August, which I hadn't. I have never contacted St.Johns and I am not associated with them...so I am guessing this was a wrong-number sort of situation?

I got a call from this number and again busy signal. I guess they outsource because the location was someone's house in bayside or Brooklyn. Very annoying.

I tried calling this number to see who is calling at my home number asking for my son at St Johns University.  When i tried calling back the line is always busy.

When I answer the phone the other party hangs up.

This org is starting to act like scummy telemarketers.  They call every few months and leave no message.  Do they, I wonder outsource these calls to telemarketers and the script is 'help the students sob story'? because the call can originate from anywhere - and it's legal !!!

im a student at st johns. I received the call once but missed it too. After that i realized it could be the from the financial aid office because i had some issues with my student loan. and yes, they dont leave a msg and i cant call back that number.

They keep calling from this number w/o leaving a message, and when I try returning the call to find out why they were calling me (since I'm a student there), I find out the line is ocupado, busy, accepts no calls.
Quite frankly, it's rude not to leave a message. So, idk why this number in particular would be calling anyone, myself included
