this number called and its a scam ...stop calling!

I got a call from this # as well. I suspect the amount of his phone bills, with no success, will eventually make this creep give up. Keep up the good work folks and don't answer.

Just starting receiving calls on my cell phone from this no. A couple times one night, then once the next.
Of course, no message.

Let this number go to voice mail on my cell. Msg said to speak w/live operator & lower interest rates. Did Google search & there was a posting from Amazon about credits from THEVIDEOMEN at this same phone number. Will be adding this number to open FTC Complaint. The 718 area code is for NYC/Bronx/Brooklyn so the Chicago thing must be more misinformation.

Calling me too.  Best thing to do on calls that you know are like this is to get a whistle and blow it into the receiver as soon as you answer the call.  That should take care of it

Its a good thing that I do not answer phone calls that I do not know. I let it go to voice mail and of course there was no message left. My curiousity got the best of me so I redialed the number to see if someone actually answered. It rang once and then went to an off the hook signal leading me to believe its a scam or a soliciter.

Didn't answer, left no voicemail.

CALLS ALL THE TIME NO MESSAGE. "KEEP CALLING I'M NOT ANSWERING!"

Credit card service wanting me to get insurance or something. I opted out of calls like this on my cell phone and should not have gotten it.

Got two calls today. Three days after registering on do not call list. Make it stop!

Got a call, I wasn't able to answer, had a 4 second voicemail with nothing on it.

Got a call from this number and no one was responding to my hello's.

Received a call this morning from this number. It was an automated system asking about lowering my credit card rates.  Since I am registered with the do not call registry and wanted to file a complaint about this compaby I elected to speak with a live person to get their information.

He said the name of the company way Lower Rate Services out of Chicago, IL.

I informed him I would be reporting them and with a smart a** attitude told me good luck with that I'll be calling you again tomorrow to see how that worked out for you.

12:20 pm - Just received a call on my cell phone from this number.  Like Steamed McQueen, I did not answer, no message left on voicemail.

dontcha just love "companies" that offer to help you with problems that they know you have when you don't have the item that needs help?  I love this story!

Just got the call at 9AM this morning.  Did not answer as I didn't recognize the number.  No message was left on voicemail

This person had called me today twice. Sounds like an indian guy asking about computer issues.

FINALLY someone was on the line! (I was actually a little excited about it) -- the scam I've been hearing about for months and months was right on my phone! Usually I get so many phone calls from an automated "dialer" but no one is on the line. This time it was a gentleman, very nice, claims he is calling from "Microsoft" and (paraphrasing) received signals that there is a problem with my computer and they can help me etc. If you haven't heard about this ongoing scam -- you seriously live under a rock. Basically people are disguising their phone#'s thru other non-working numbers to solicit you for your information. Whether they are calling from other countries or wherever is irrelevant (although I know they were calling from another time zone bc I live in NY/east coast and it's illegal to solicit anything after 9pm). Good scam really. Too bad he called a Mac user : ) Anyway, I advised him I didn't need any help could I be removed from the list? He said he was sorry to bother and have a good night.

Definitely a scam. A phishing attempt to try to get information. Same as others have reported.

Call about computer issues supposedly from Microsoft.Persons voice sounded like Indian accent.Scam caller that may try to get you to go on your computer to check for problems and thereby introduce virus into computer. Will most likely ask for personal info which raises red flag about Scammers.Don't fall for this scam.
