Just got a call from 718 775 3341, stating he was a part of the NYPD Intel Department calling on behalf of a fundraiser, looking to speak to my mother and as I passed the phone to her, the idiot hung up, Total scamartist!

Message said I qualified for a lower electric bill.  Is this a scam?  I never applied for anything.

Same thing. Recorded message saying please hold (how RUDE, you called ME!) and then a very slick-sounding older man said it was the NYS dept of chiefs of police. I told him Maria was not in and he said he'd call back. We are on the Do Not Call Registry, no idea why these people are calling.

I got a phone call from this number the other day when I was on the phone with a friend.  He said he was from a police association or department asking for donations.  I quickly said NO and I hung up.  I recognized the same voice from someone who called asking for the same around Christmas time. He has a deep voice and speaks very fast, and he really tried to convince me to donate money.  This is probably the same person who used to call my parents.  At one time, years ago, I was at my parents' home and I received the same phone call, asking for money, and he speaks very fast.  I quickly said NO. He was very pushy, and he kept asking again and again.  It seems that this has been going on for years.  The telephone companies need to do something about this. This person needs to be reported to the police department.

just got the same he asked for my husband whom has been dead & we have been divorced for 41 years.I said he is dead & asked could they count on our donation of $50. again I said No he said $20 I said no lol so he probably figured she ain't gonna bite.The NYS atty gen I heard was going to put a stop to these ppl.I have always gotten threatening type of calls strong arm tactics & when I complained they said we can't do anything as they are a private charity I even got a statement saying I pledged the money & I didn't..Well apparently they must have finally gotten enough calls & have just recently heard they were going to do something about it I for one am going to there website now and reporting this call.

This company just called again while I was on another call; they had called me several times before
saying they are the Chief of Police asking for donations! I use FIOS and cant block this call.

This is a SCAM! Everyone CALL the Police & report them!

718-775-3341 claims to be the 'NY Police Chiefs Assoc'. They asked for 50 or 100 dollar donation. Immediately they ask credit card information. I think they are a spam

I suspect the pranksters/phishers using this phone number are watching this sight.  I expect another call soon just as Jill received while typing the message above.  Can't wait for the FBI to catch these kids.  They don't know who I am.

Just got a call from this number. 6/6/11 at approx. 8:15PM.  I said hello.  Guess she didn't hear me. Young lady said hello (slight hispanic accent).  I said Yes. She asked in a surprised voice "Is O'Reilly there?"  I said "wrong number" and hung up immediately.  I am concerned because The O'Reilly Factor was just on my TV.

I just get this call also and they want me to send money. That's a lot of bull. I say this is just one more scam and I hope the people doing it reads these post. I will be turning this over to the plice department along with a recording of the call as all my phone calls are recorded..

My girlfriend picked up the phone.  The caller asked for me by first name, and said he would call back.  His name was Chris.
