9/26/12, at 1:48 pm central time. I received a call from 646-502-6605, showing New York, NY. The man (with an accent) asked for a different person by name. I said no one with that name was at this number and that it was our residence. He then automatically said, well, it's about the computer. I hung up.
It was interesting how quickly he just slid right in there with the line about the computer, no matter who he had on the phone.
I don't have any problems with my Mac. I'm sure he thought I was a PC owner. I didn't call for service, as my Mac never needs service and never gets a virus. So he is full of hot air. Hang up on him, and keep reporting him.

I received the same call as Betsy above. They called me several times the past 2 days but also gave me 1-888-408-4117 and 718-819-1080 to call them back when I was ready to have them remotely connect to my computer. He claimed his name was Neil Johnson (certainly not a name I have ever heard for an Indian man). He claimed he was calling because I was getting virus & attachments that could harm my computer when I go online. I advised him I had Norton 360 and that is detects these things. He told me that Norton could not detect becuase it is something that comes from the operating system. I called Microsoft (since I have Windows 7), Gateway (the maker of my laptop) and Norton. All 3 said they have no knowledge of this issue and took down the info this guy gave me. They said they will do an investigation,
BEWARE!!!

Alex Anderson, Esolving, 1-888-408-4117, 718-819-1080, 646-502-6605 called me yesterday. I almost burst out laughing when he said his name because he was obviously Indian and couldn't speak good English. He told me my computer had a lot of errors on it and to prove it, he wanted me to go to prefetch to see. He said you don't recognize most of those names do you? I let him keep going and he asked me what kind of anti-virus I have and I lied and he went on-and-on, blah..blah...blah. He then tried to get me to type in his company name, Esolving, into my start/run. I'm not stupid so I told him to please hold while I connected him to the FBI. He said okay. I clicked some numbers on the phone and he was still there. I then hung up and he immediately called back. I lifted the receiver and hung up again. He hasn't called back...yet.....I get these calls all the time, but this is the first time I was given a so-called company name and telephone numbers. Sad what scum sucking people are in the world praying on the innocent and ignorant.

They are "Online PC Care". This is a SCAM! When you tell them not to call, they call you a "Mother F*cker" and tell you to Sh*t on yourself. They said that to me. Just prank them. It's hilarious
