I got the same calls but the number is different...i have 718 841 6473...they called my work and my boss keeps telling them off and now they call my home..i tell the guy off all the time but yet he keeps calling and harassing me...its so annoying. All he says now is that he is calling from a Law Firm but won't even tell me their name..idiot

Got 2 calls from this number this afternoon.  They always have a foreign accent.  And yes Mr. Nick Smith said he was from the Dept of Corporate Affairs.  I've gotten calls from these people before and yes they are calling my place of employment too.  As far as I am concerned they are scammers.

i've investigated further,even more than you people and found many interesting facts.these people who claim to be from DCA Law office are definately scammers and need to be taken care of but we,americans need to be serious in getting them caught. I'm glad to see that most people are figuring these scammers out.  Yes, they're like freaking mosquitos.  As far as I've read, they're probably in Pakistan.  They get names off some list they bought, and they go down the list and call and annoy the &(*!#@\ out of people.  They often call using Skype and leave callback numbers that I assume are probably connected with Skype or something similar (though I don't know that).  Many people already have gone to the FBI, etc., and they essentially tell people to log the calls, which I'd guess most of us do anyway to some extent.  The only two things I've found get them off my back for awhile are the truth--that I and many others have figured them out, and I explain what I know--and sheer mockery, just flat laughing at the latest attempt by someone who knows he's lying just as well as I know it.  The last time I just laughed right in their faces and told them I knew they were full of it, suddenly they got mad and instead of a "law firm" they were "bigtime terrorists who know Osama bin Laden" (their words, not mine) who were going to rape my wife, my daughter, my sister, etc.  That just confirmed to me they were liars so I laughed harder, and then told them I was "done playing with them" and hung up.  They left me alone for about three months after that conversation.  Now sometimes they try, but not usually quite as hard as before.  I don't know if they forget they've already tried some of us or they're just hoping they can lay off for awhile and we'll forget, or maybe their organization just has a high turnover rate.  I'm hoping these scammers have enough brain cells to Google the numbers, names, and pseudo-legal nonsense phrases they use as well, so that they can see it isn't working.

these idiots just called me. They have been calling me on and off for a year now. This was "Rick Daniels"....funny how he just called me yesterday on my work phone and he was "Mike Johnson". I told them to bugger off. When they first started calling me, i asked who they were from and they said "US FAST CASH" who i have never heard of in my life. I googled it and its a total scam.  I feel bad for the people who listen to their BS.

I just recieved 5 calls in under 3 minutes.  The person had a middle eastern accent and the name he used was Justin Nova.  He also called my work twice, but didn't leave a message.  Based on the other posts I am not going to be calling them back anytime soon.

I had a similar call as Ann posted.  This was from someone calling herself Diana Ross with DCA.  She said she was with a Legal Law firm.  She wanted me to give her my social security number before she would tell me anything regarding the "serious legal matter" she had against me.  When I would not give her my number, she told me that I had bad intentions and that the legal authorities would be coming to my place of employment on Monday with a summons and that my employer would then know of all my bad intentions and illegal activites.  This is such a scam!!!!!  DO NOT EVER GIVE ANYONE your social security number.  I am reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission and the State Attorney General.

This b*****ds called my office making threats.  First, I want to tell anyone this happens to it is a scam.  If you owed money to a payday loan, find out if payday loans are legal in your state.  If not, they don't have a leg to stand on.  Additionally, these types of calls should be reported to your Attorney General's Office in your area, as this is a serious scam.  No creditable collection agency would be, reading you your rights, that is for the police to do, second, in the good old U.S.A. we are innocent before proven guilty.  Know your rights when a collection agency calls you don't ever let someone have the upperhand.  Lastly threatening anyone is against the law in this country and is punishable under the law.  The low life Pay Day company who is providing people information needs to get a grip on themselves before they wind up in big trouble, and if you think you won't get caught I have news for you....it is only a matter of time.  Good Luck and best wishes to hopefully no one else gets scammed again.

Some P.O.S. foreigner trying to get me to give up my attorney's contact info.  I demanded they tell me what the call was regarding and they kept repeating they needed my attorney's info and it was a serious situation.  If you're not telling me why I need to call my attorney, it's obviously not that important.  Bunch of crap.

i know what u talkin about.  the same thing happened to me 2day actually and around the same time as u.  About 4 hrs ago when it started.  Said i owe them $1,954 by tonight or papers drown for me to go to court in the morning and pay another $5,000 in fees.  i thought it was real and it was convincing,  i gave them the # to my credit card.  Well they call me back and said it was declined ad wanted too know my credit limit "i told them i'm not tellin that".  I called my credit card company and explained to thm what was goin on and while on the phone with them i was informed that $3,000was took out and while talking to my company another $1,000 got took out.  my card was canceled and they get nothing.  im glad i caught it in time.

I have been called 3 times total, the first time i was silly and paid the money, after that I was informed it was a scam, they call me every day before pay period, telling me there is a case against me and that I will be arrested, after the 1st time they called i told them i know they where a scam, and they hung up on me, then the 3rd time the same person called, trying to play like he was someone else, and saying the same thing. Do not believe them there numbers are all on the internet for being a scam, no collection office are aloud to say things like that to you.

Some arabic dude trying to yell into the phone over a lot of background noise including street noise and other people yelling (probably a scam call center gathering funds for their terrorist network).  He says his name was William Barrington.  My coworkers have recieved calls from this same number by people claiming to be Allen Marshall, and Sarah Jones.  I know this is a scam but it is annoying....sooo, everytime they call I'm going to totally waste their time by claiming to be "Peggy" like the russian guy in the airline miles commercials! Going to call the FTC and FBI as well. It is very funny though that he wishes me luck "against all that will unfold upon me" if I don't call them "IMMEDIATELY"....yeah, like THAT'S going to happen.  Its actually sad that the phone companies allow scams like this to tie up resources in our country and sometimes scam people out of their hard-earned money only to have it used against them.

these people have been calling me on and off for a year now.  they give me different names and phones number.  middle east people with normal names.  NO WAY.  i am going to report them to the number that one person indicated on their blog.

got the same call. been getting them for the past year. I actually gave money to one of the scams, scared me to death. All different numbers but same speech and accent. How can we stop them

Losers! Who threatens a lawsuit if you don't commit to payment within a few hours? Who wouldn't even tell you the specific name of the creditor they are collecting for? WHO EVER has heard of an outsourced call center that processes case files for lawyers obviously middle easterners with names like HEATHER LAWSON or ANDREW BECKER?? Puhleez!! They claim to be at 42 Broadway 5th Floor, NY, NY 10004. They claim to be calling from DCA (Dept of Corp Affairs) Law Office. Funny how their claims are unverifiable! 718.841.6455 sometimes rings, sometimes doesn't... sometimes drops... sometimes answers...  And google the address... YUP The address will come back DCA, but not the DCA they claim! New York City Department of Consumer Affairs is the actual name to the address!

Anyways... This is looking to be a scammer at work, I cannot validate either or... but I DID report them to the FTC at 877-382-4357! You should too!
