I was contacted by Alex Stevens this evening claiming to be a federal investigator opening a case against me.  This was a voicemail left.  I called back and he told me he had the last four of my social and wanted me to confirm it.  Very strong accent.  I would give him nothing.  He then told me I owed for Cash Advance and needed to pay it immediately or I would be arrested.  I have contacted my lawyer who told me it was a scam.  DON't tell them anything.

I've been getting the same calls. Same guy, Alex Stevens, same story. What do I do? Its annoying and he started calling people I know. I never got a loan from anyone, and just as you guys mentioned, if I did, I would gladly pay it. He has not be able to provide me with truthful information, yet knows my home address and other bank information about me.

Sandy it is a well known scam.  Do not worry it is an annoyance, but you have done nothing wrong and they can not do nething to you.  Ask alot of questions, tell them you will report to the fair trade commission, FBI, Secret Service, Homeland Security and local police.  And do it.  The FTC are the ones who regulate collections.  Everything these scam artists do is illegal and probably funds terrorism.

They are calling me harassing about a loan I never got. They refuse to send any documentation and are threatening me.  They have some how been able to get into our phone numbers (mine and my mothers) and the caller id shows up as each others number and sometimes as our own numbers calling us.  They left a voice mail on my mothers phone saying they are so mad at me that they are going to kill me.  What should I do?  They also say they are from the Attorney Generals office.

I have received phone calls from (718) 873-9670.  He stated he is Tom Wilson from the USA Legal Department. He saying that I owe $600.00 for some payday loans. However, no documentation stating the name of the company that is owed. He has a verythick accent.

My guy said his name was James Wilson. And said his Company was American Payment Inc.

I am being harresed by jack turner he is a scam

I am also being harrassed by Alex Stevens who can hardly speak English but says he is a government representative which is untrue. I have contacted Consumer Protection Agency regarding this person.

I keep getting harrassed by a man who calls himself "Alex Stevens" and this is the number displayed. He has a heavy foreign accent and claims to be a federal officer. He claims I took out a loan, but refuses to give me proper information. I have repeatedly told him that if I owe anyone money that I will gladly pay it if I can confirm it. He is very rude and says "you think I work for you? It is your repsonsibility to get any information." I have contacted the BBB and was told that if I owed money they had to contact me in writing. I told him this and he told me that I was giving him the run around. He has called a friend of mine and my uncle again claiming to be a federal officer and states "tell her to call me or she will be in big trouble". Any advice?
