I got a call from James Hahn, 888-512-8881 from PPS. He went thru the sales pitch. I said ok, let me check you out and if everything checks out I'll call you back. Well, good ole James got in a huff because I wanted to take my time before I spent $900 for something I did not ask for or don't know who I'm talking to. As always, if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is. I did a little research, it's a SCAM.

Josh Robinson just called me also and when I told him I didn't think so after seeing all the negative things online, he said "I'll let the banks know you declined and I hope they raise your rates" and then hung up on me.

The idiot Joshua Robinson tried this scam on my elderly father this afternoon. Same details as all the other posts. I took the phone and tried to get him to explain why the credit card companies would cut my payments in half even though I'm never late. Then he tried to tell me that Visa and MasterCard actually loaned the money to the banks and the banks only earn money on interest. That would mean Visa and MasterCard are giving interest free loans to the bank and then letting the banks earn all the interest. I asked him how this made any sense and he couldn't. He then said he was going to tell the banks that I was too ignorant to hear him out and that I declined the program and my credit rating would suffer.  He's a total tool. Said he was in Tempe, AZ yet he called from 201-625-4637.

Same guy, same call back number, and he started getting mad when I said I wanted to check them out. Then said if they were good enough to help me today they would be good enough to help me tomorrow. Glad I didn't give them any additional information, should have been googling this while talking on the phone.

Same addage still holds true: "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"

What crappy credit bureau hack is selling our names to this scam?  This is most definitely a scam.  NEVER give your credit card information out to miscellaneous callers.  When they are talking about your "VISA/Mastercard" it means they don't even know what kind of card you have and are phishing.

This idiot was named Andre and was calling from 301-395-6954 (came up as "cell phone MD" on caller ID).  Said he was with Purchase Power Solutions and sounded like he was either drunk or half asleep.

Do you have any idea how they could have gotten your account number?!  That seems really odd.  Maybe they have an identity theft racket attached to their phone scam?  Weird.

I feel very sorry for all who have been tricked by pond-scum scammers.  I had a pretty good idea that this was their racket but I had some mindless task to do and decided to take up all the time of theirs that I could, listening and asking questions--I figured that if Chris Sain was talking with me, he wasn't able to be taking someone else's money.  In the end, he finally asked me to give him my the number and expiration of a credi card so he could confirm that I had one.  Ha!  I asked if he understood that I would be reluctant to give him this info, and I told him I would call him back at 888-512-8881 after doing some web research on his company, Power Purchase Solutions.  People think up some amazing scams, and I only wish that they could spend as much energy on legitimate products--ours would be a much stronger country and economy.

When I got the call, the caller got all defensive when I questioned him about his company and all the negative press that they have gotten.  When I pressed him...he just hung up on me.

Nice doing business with you, you rude a***ole.

I've notice something that Josh Robinson is now going under the name as Nigel Robinson. These people are the scum of the earth. And how they get out of their s*** is saying later on I've tried but we can't lower your interest rate. But upfront they promise you 3.9 to 9%.

First of all you give your whole name on here and nobody does that. You have to be working for PPS because you're the only person who said anything good about them. The bottom line is....If anybody calls and asked for upfront money it's a scam. The FTC says you can't do that until the debt is resolved...

Lady, the FTC said....Nobody should ask upfront for any amount of money until they settled your debt. It's against the LAW!!!!! So maybe they might help a few people along the way but for the most part they are SCAMMERS!!! If anybody calls and asked for money that should raise a flag...I just want to know how these people sleep at night???? Scammers are one of the lowest people on Earth...

THIS IS A SCAM. It is *ILLEGAL* as of 10/27/2010 to charge up front fees for debt relief services http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2010/07/tsr.shtm that states "fees for debt relief services may not be collected until ... the debt relief service successfully renegotiates, settles, reduces, or otherwise changes the terms of at least one of the consumer?s debts."
Just remember --- IF THEY WANT AN UPFRONT FEE, THEN IT'S A SCAM.

Also received calls from Purchase Power Solutions today from the 602-480-7555 number; I'm in California.
My call was from Joshua Robinsen who gave his number as 1-888-512-8881, and my experience was almost identical to that posted by "Highwayman" on page 1 of this blog.

I will post my report under the 602-480-7555 number.

I too fell for the call from Purchase Power Solutions. I answered a call from Joshua Robinson representing Purchase Power Solutions. Guaranteed to save me at least $2500 or my money back. Was assured they could save me money and if not could get a refund. I received their FedEx package with 2 CD's and forms to fill out with my credit card debt. Replied on line, but have not received any reply on how to save the $2500. After reading these posts I feel like a fool for falling for their pitch. Any suggestions how to honor their guarantee and get my money refunded?

I completely agree with you! They helped me get out of debt in a year! Most friendly people I've ever spoken with! If you don't understand what they are telling you then you need to listen harder. Its all laid out in black and white! Why not at least TRY IT with a 100% money back guarantee?!

my call was from Chris Sain with the same questions and when he asked for numbers, I told him to mail me the package and I would look it over and the details and if interested, I would call. He thanked me and said have a nice day and hung up. I looked up this site and while reading this, my credit card company called me and asked if I had authorized a $998 amount to Purchase Power Solution's. I told them absolutely not and that I had not even give them the account no. The company had already, apparently automatically, denied the charge. They will be reporting it to law enforcement agencies.TEl no. this time was 468 435 9675. I'm an old retired attorney and I hope they catch the b*****ds and put them away.
