Got note..yellow and black card, stating to call between 2-6. Total scam...beware

Got the same card on my door.  Looks oddly like UPS, but doesn't have any company info.  I will not be calling them.

I got the same card.  I agree - it looked sort of like UPS.  I called and didn't get an answer, so I decided to google the phone #.  I'm glad to see all the same responses.  I know in the future to just throw those cards in the trash.

I just got one today or recently - it rang and rang. no voice mail. I called @ 12:40 pm

I intended to threaten to call the police if they traspassed again.

When you call the number, this guy will tell you that one of your neighbor's had an ADT Alarm System installed.  Then he will try to sell you the system.  What a misleading advertisement!

Got a postcard left on my door, stating "Sorry we missed you" and asking me to please call m-f 3-7pm with a tracking #. Called and got a busy signal. I reversed looked up the phone # and it is a private land line in a residential area, specifically townhomes located in Colorado Springs, CO. Since it is obviously a sales call of some type, I will not be calling to find out what they want.

Its ADT security systems.  We even have a sign in the front yard - do not respond!

This is probably a theft scam they are wating to see if you are home are not,  a great burglary tactic to see if you are home for three days and to check your door to see if it is open

Got the same card today. No knock, No Call either. Just the unidentified card saying Sorry We Missed You with a number to call and a tracking number. I did call the number and no answer after many, many rings. They are the ones who need to be tracked!!!

The card is either home made or Kinkos since everything is title case.  The tracking number appears hand-written.  I wonder if everyone has this tracking number?

A thin white male wearing white shorts left a card on my door in Monument, Colorado.  The card is black and yellow and clearly meant to look like a UPS "missed delivery" note.

I received the same card and I am contacting the Colorado Springs police to report the incident.

Well...whoever it is they are still doing it.  Same card meant to look like UPS, same handwritten "tracking number".  I wouldn't recommend ANYONE ever trying to open any of my doors.  I'm protected by Smith and Wesson.  ;)

Clearly a con. It would be wise to call and say you have a really REALLY good security setup already.

Go to the ADT website and they say that their company does not leave these notes on the door.  These people are not from ADT.

Call the number nobody answer

Got the same card yesterday. After these responses will not be calling back.

I received this "card" today as all of you stated you did, too. I made the mistake of calling the number before reading all the posts. I will let you know that once asking who the company was (supposedly ADT) and speaking to the people, first a female (It was her supposed first day on the job) who then handed me over to supposed supervisor Michael, I feel certain this is a hoax. I let him know I didn't understand why ADT would advertise without marketing the logo. He claimed people won't call "us" and that it was a marketing tactic then later stated it's because they are running a promotion and the first 5 people that call will receive a free system. I called my ADT rep and gave them a scanned copy of the note. I also called my ADT rep who informed me that ADT would never advertise, even contractors, without the logo (to my understanding).

I got a yellow and black card stuffed into my door jam this morning that just said to call mon-fri 2-6.  I Called after the time listed and it just rang incessantly.  Any idea who it is?

We got one of these today also and I plan on calling the non emergency police line.  I called the number back and had to ask what company this was, the note looked just like other people have mentioned.  They did say ADT, and they kept forcing the issue of getting my information before scheduling a time to visit our house when both adults were home.  It just didn't seem right and made me feel like he was scoping the house too.  I hate that I even mentioned we had no current system before I realized that this was probably a scam.

I got one of these on my door today too.  I was not home so I don't know if they tried to open my door or not, however I wish I was here because the fact that they have done that is creepy.  I did try to call the number but there was no answer or answering machine.

I got it in my inner door. I have storm door but didn't lock it. So they actually open my storm door and slip it to inner door. I think it is too much to do so and very annoying. I learn my lesson, and will lock storm door from now on.(Highlands Ranch)

After reading all comments I decided to call this number.  It turned out it was an ADT dealer trying to sell me a security system.  I asked why a card was left since I have ADT already and they explained many homeowners have signs from previous owner.  I told them I was not interested and they said ok have a nice day.  I do not know why everyone is so upset.

I got one too - thanks to all who added information to this thread.  Won't be calling them.
