Let me take a wild guess.....you STILL have not paid it off. I suppose at some point its easier to point the finger at everyone else than to actually take responsibility for your own previous actions.  Try paying what you owe.  That actually might have some success.

A guy named Adam called me from that number.  Apparently I had a debt that I owed and he was calling about it.  He was actually REALLY nice to me and helped me through my unfortunate situation.  My wife and I were having some trials and tribulations that included me losing my job.  Unfortunately some of my bills were paid late as a result.  Adam called me, spoke to me at length about the situation and offered a couple different ways to help me out of my situation.  He offered me a "settlement" which i gladly accepted which saved my wife and I over 200 bucks!  Every penny counts these days in in this terrible economy, I'm just glad he was there to help.

So am I, why are they calling you??!

I have been receiving threatening phone calls from this number, both at home and at my job.

Call from them sating he was calling from National Payday Loan. However when I looked up the number, there is no listing. He went on to tell me he knew what I did, I know you wont pay it back, you are a fraud etc. So I made it clear that I have every intention of paying my debt however since my bank account/ssn has been scammed, I refuse to give out Bank Info or Debit/Credit card information. I asked for a total I owed and a legitimate address to this company, and I would be happy to send a cashiers check or money order. He told me I have to pay it today. I had to basically scream I WILL NOT GIVE OUT BANK INFORMATION. He stated then I was refusing to pay and said I was wasting his time.  So I replied, then you are fefusing payment of this debt, then that means my debt is paid.  Any legitimate collection agency will take a money order. Scam companies do not because it leaves a paper trail and they just want access to your account. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY ACCOUNT INFORMATION TO ANY COMPANY THAT YOU CAN NOT VERIFY THROUGH THE BBB.
