I received this call recently and decided to take it.  I answered in my "little old lady" voice and the man on the other end said he must have the wrong number.  That was all!  I had been bugged for probably four to six weeks with 15 calls from another number (sorry I deleted it)  It has a variation in the last two digits so knew it was coming from the same source.  I finally decided to take the call since they were not giving up.  I got a live gal from Smile Train who called me by my first name and thanked me for my donation. (my husband must have sent them something)  I used my very "old" old lady voice and talked incoherently to her, I mumbled something about having a stroke and rambled on some more, interrupting her.  Finally SHE gave up on me and said she would remove my number.  How easy was that!!

Called asking for my husband. Told them he was unavailable, and they hung up.  Called back to have them remove me from their list, and they hung up on me again.  We're on the solicitors do not call list. Glad to know it works ...

Solicitor called asking for my daughter. They said the connection was bad (on my ground line?) and hung up. Called back and found it was Solar Energy or something. Told them to take me off their list.
