A young-sounding woman called me from this number at approximately 7:20 pm and stated that I have 5 magazine subscriptions and she was just confirming that I had received them. When I said that I would never have ordered a magazine subscription she told me that they were being paid for on my Visa account. I asked her to cancel them and she asked me who would have ordered them. I told her I had no idea and she hung up. After speaking with her I checked my Visa statements to be sure no fraudulent charges had been made and didn't see any. It seems she was probably going to try to get me to give her my card number.

Just happened to me. I posted this on the Do not Call complaint website

Have had home phone number on the do not call list for quite some time. Just entered it again. I received a phone call from a woman named Diane telling me that my magazine subscriptions had been upped to 60 months out and not to pay any more bills. It was a just a "courtesy call". She said that her supervisor may call to see if she had been polite. Her supervisor called and asked if she was polite and thanked me for signing up for their magazine program. I had agreed to no such thing. When I tried to ask what company this was and what they were trying to do he hung up on me. I star 69 the number and was told it is 720-389-6784. I googled the number and found the following link that had almost the exact same thing happen to them.

If someone wants to contact me about this I'd be happy to discuss over phone. I would like to file a complaint with Better Business Bureau as well.

I got a call from 720-389-6784 at 8:47 pm from a woman (she said her name, but I don't remember who it was).  She knew my name and address, and said that she was in collections with a magazine company and asked me for some info; she asked me about a Visa check card and I said I used cash for everything.  She then said her supervisor may call me and verify that she was polite and courteous.  At 8:53 some guy called (I forgot his name too) from 720-389-6495 he claimed that he was her supervisor and asked me if the woman did a good job; I said yes, and then he was going to help me with the billing and asked me about a Visa that he "had on file" I told him that I wished to cancel, and asked him to erase my file.  He then said I had a "no cancel policy", and I told him that I beg to differ and repeated my request to cancel and delete my file he said "you beg to differ huh, and then laughed and hung up.  If you get either of these numbers don't tell them anything.  Don't be fooled if they know your name or address (they are easy to get), and they appearently work in pairs sometimes for whatever reason.

Debt Collector
This one called at night telling me that I have a magazine subscription that is in collections. Could not tell me my adress, but said it was "Maxim" a magazine I have NEVER had a subscription to. Obviously a scam to get money.
