Received a call from this number on 5/21/2012. The girl said she was from "Reader Services." Ha! She couldn't even tell me what magazines I had apparently subscribed to with them. She said only her supervisor had that information. Told her "Thanks, but not interested" and hung up. This crazy bi*** called me back not 30 seconds later asking if we'd been "disconnected." I told her "No, I hung up on you." She said "Why" and then I just told her it was because I knew darn well I had never ordered anything from them and never would. Hung up on her again ha ha! Scam!

Prank Call
I have received several calls from this number. Also with the 60 months and magazines. I asked which magazines and received the answer: the ones you are getting. She asked me for my expiration date of my credit card. Isaid I didn't have it with me. She said she'd wait. I said my husband has the card and he is at work. She said (kinda snotty): you don't have your own card? Now, I figure that if these people call and are lying to me, then I am under no obligation to tell the truth to them. I am looking forward to their next call. I will have my whistle at the ready. Perhaps they will take me off their call list.

Exact same as all the others, "Not calling to collect money or ruin your day...hahaha." After listening to how I was a preferred customer and would be receiving the magazines for 60 months, I asked what magazines, and they DID know what magazines I got. I was transferred to the manager to verify he was polite, and then to verify that I knew I was receiving the magazines. I said that I had already PAID for my magazine subscriptions, and they just kept saying the same thing, "Yes we know, the rep explained to you that you are not agreeing to buy more. You will just keep receiving these for $3.69 a week." I said, "What is the $3.69 a week for if I've already paid for them?" At that point she sarcastically said, "You have a good day, Ma'am," and hung up.

We received a call from this number at 3:24 PM on 11/25, and the Caller ID showed it was from "DENVER            CO". When the phone was answered they just hung up.

We have another problem. At 9:20 AM (Eastern) today (11/30) we received a call from phone number (818) 341-3492, with the Caller ID showing "Matthew Dejohn." When the phone was answered the caller hung up. This evening we called the number and reached a recorded message saying the number was disconnected. This is the second time we have received a hang-up long-distance call (I don't know the number which showed on the first call as it was some time ago) which was allegedly disconnected at the time the call came from that number.

Got a call telling me to let other magazine companies know I was locked in with them for the next 60 monthes. I explained the only magazines I had were one that I got free with my Delta skymiles, she said by ordering them I agreed to pay $3.60 weekly for the next 60 monthes. I said no way cancel them. She said wait Ill put you into my manager.. Than she just holler to someone else.. How much is the one time cancelation fee.. She came back with that will be $150.00 to cancel. Told her I wasnt paying it. Told her to cancel the mags and send it to a collection agent. She said well we dont do that. So I will call you again.

Same as above.  The "supervisor" assured that the first representative was cordial to me and then started to tell me what a preferred customer I am and was that a debit card or credit card that I used.  I told him I did not use a card and hung up.  Obviously a ripoff.

I received a phone call pretty much the same.  Preferred customer, don't renew through anyone else. Then he had me talk to his supervisor for me to insure that he was nice to me.  The supervisor said I'm locked in for 60 months on a magazine.  (I only receive one magazine and I just renewed it in Feb. for 1 year) One came today and it says that it expires in April 2012. I told him that.  He said I must have subscribed to the same magazine through 2 different companies.  I asked him why I had not been receiving duplicate copies then?  No real answer.  He said they have my credit card number and that they have a recording of me on the phone committing to 60 months!  I never do renewals over the phone!  He said he would send me the documentation.  He also said, lack of payment would result in him sending "my file" to another department.  I told him that when I received the information that I would call and speak to a supervisor.  He said he was the supervisor!  I tried to call back but it just rang and rang.  Yes, scam.  I guess he thought I would get so frazzled that I would give him my credit card number!  My mama didn't raise no fool!

Prank Call
I received a call from this number, the rep stated I will continue to get my magazines for 60 months, she stated that the publishers would have to be paid direct with my credit card. I explained that I had not supscribed to any magazines and she said the publishers were going to get paid. She said she would me send a copy of the agreement. I said that she sould send it, she was very angry by this time because I kept asking her what magazines, she said she did'nt have the names of the magazines.

I received a call and the female talked about "other" companies calling me to offer magazine subscriptions, stating I should reject them so I do not rec. duplicates, since I am subscribing with them.  I informed her
I received NO magazine subscriptions and requested to be taken OFF their calling list.  She informed me
they do not remove their "preferred" members from their list.  I insisted I subscribe to NO magazines.  She stated, "we have your credit card on file for your subscription", to which I started to say "if there are any charges on a card of mine....", but she cut me off and said "have a good day, Miss Lawson" and then jung up.  What is this?

I got a call from this number @ 9:10pm on 12/09/10.  The female caller did not identify herself.  The call was regarding some magazine subscription that she said I ordered and wanted to know if I had received my magazines.  I explained to her that I had not ordered any magazines but in fact magazines have arrived (3).  She kept on repeating the same scenario that they (?) send out the magazines and if the subscription is not cancelled within 72 hrs. (how can you do that if you didn't order them) then they (?) pay for the subscription and then I pay them.  She was not clear as to how they (?) would get the money from me.  When I pressed the subject she said that I would get a call from her manager.  When I explained that I wanted to speak with her manager NOW she said that she would call me.  She then hung up.  I pressed *69 for the number but when I called it it just rang and rang.
