Just got a call from 720-398-9675. Demanding to speak to my husband and stating that it was a privacy issue to speak to me. After telling them that I handle all the bills they still insisted on speaking with my husband. The proceded to tell my husband that he owed money on a magazine subscription and asked how old he was and what he did for a living and what type of credit cards he had. Then they wanted a credit card number and exp. date. he refused. Then the man on the phone said that he was transferring to his supervisor and when she got on the phone she still demanded credit card info my husband refused and hung up. She called back with a private number on my caller id. She was very nasty with me and refused to speak to me only my husband. My husband told her to send a bill and hung up the phone.

I've been receiving calls from this number.  It says "Power Sales" on the phone along with the number.  They called me and threatened that I owed money for some magazines that I had received and paid for.  The mags did not come from them.  Then I got a second call, explained the same thing.  The 3d call was from the 1st guy.  I again explained.  After I told him the only magazine I was interested in was Country Living, he said he could give me 60 months of CL for only $3.50....yeah right!  That made no sense to me.  I really think they are phishing for credit card numbers.  He was very anxious to get mine.  I lied and said my husband had the card.  He his supervisor would call me later this week......I'm almost positive they're a rip-off operation.

That's right, I just remembered that the guy that called the last time, asked me to give his supervisor a good rating because he was up for promotion!

I was called many times by this company.  It said Power Sales and it had the above listed number.  I only answered 3 times.  The first time they acted like I owed money for magazines I had received, paid for and then cancelled at the appropriate time.  The guy yelled at me.  He said, how could I get a deal like that w/o having to pay more than I did.  He didn't mention the amount or which magazines.  I just kept repeating the truth.  He was mad, but finally I gave up.  The second time I received a call and answered, it was a different guy.  He was actually nice.  I explained that I had canceled my previous magazine deal at the right time and he asked me when.  I told him last summer.  He said ok, and let it go at that.  Tonight, the first guy called again. (12/29/11) around 9:30 or so.  This time he had a magazine offer for me, (after going through the same questions about the other mags again)...I told him the only mag I wanted was Country Living.  I said I had a great deal.  10 issues for $12.  He said that was nothing.  He could give me Country Living for 60 months for $3.50....(Sounded way to good to be true!)....He wanted my credit card number to order, but I lied and said my husband had it and he wasn't here.  He mentioned something about getting his supervisor to talk to me, then said he'd put a note on her desk and she'd call me later in the week.  I'm pretty sure they're just phishing for credit card numbers........Very strange!  I wouldn't and don't trust them.  The deal I got before was for a year of 6 premium magazines for $2.....that sounded too good to be true, but it was from a reliable company, who was probably hoping I'd forget to cancel.  They even sent me a few extras after my subscriptions were stopped and were very nice about it.  I wish I could remember their name! hahah!!! Darn!

They asked me my age and working status too.  The first time the guy called he was nasty.  He knew I had purchased magazines at a very good price and was threatening.

I received the same call.  It said "Power Sales" on my phone with that same number.  I received 3 phone calls. 2 from the same man.  The first one told me that I owed them for magazines I had received last year....(I had received a good deal on magazines......I paid 2 dollars for one year of 6 good magazines, then I cancelled at the appropriate time.  I explained this and he said something to the effect that I still owed because "how could I get such a good deal.".....Second call was from someone else.  I explained the situation.  They had no reply.  Tonight I got a call from the 1st man.  He knew about the 12 month free trial, and he offered me 60 months of Country Living magazine for $3.50.  I know that's too good to be true and became suspicious.  I told him I didn't have a credit card here, that my husband had it.  He said that I should hold on because his supervisor just arrived, then, he said she would call me later in the week.  This is not the same company I got the good deal from online.  I don't know how they received that info, or how they could offer me 60 mos on an expensive magazine for only $3.50.  I remember in one of the calls they mentioned "Publishers"  If she, (the supervisor calls me back, I'll be asking tons of questions and will NOT give any credit card, or other information.  Very Strange!  Laura

Was called by this number at 10:15 pm.  As soon as the lady indetified herself, I requested to be taken of the calling list and stated that the call was illegal because it was 10:15 pm.  She immediately called back. I answered and immediately hung up.  She called again.  I answered, but did not speak, and then hung the phone up after about a minute,  She called again.  I answered and asked to speak to her supervisor.  She refused until I did some paperwork.  I asked to be removed from her calling list.  Again, she said I had to do paperwork.  I again stated it was illegal for her to be calling because it was after 9pm.  She said because it was only just passed 8 where she was it was legal.  I stated that the time was based on where she was calling, not where she was.  She said she did not had a time zone map and had no way of knowing where she was calling.  I told er that I dealt with her company every year, and I always asked them not to call back, because I have no magazine subscriptions that I pay for.  She finally got annoyed and hung up on me.

I have received calls from this "company" for at least a year now, stating that I have ordered several magazines that I am being billed for weekly.  I DO NOT receive any magazines AT ALL, and this latest person to call actually hung up on me and said that they will just continue to bill me!  They are so stupid, the credit card number that they quoted does not even belong to me!  I have asked them to please take me off whatever list my number is on and they either refuse or basically just tell me yeah, yeah.  I guess the only thing I can really do is not answer the phone anymore and advise others to do the same.

I just received the same call...they could not tell me which magazines I had ordered but that I would be billed 69.95. He was very rude and finally said he would send it to collections!!! I receive two magazines both of which are gift subscriptions. These people are crazy!!!

This number has called my home several times.

I've gotten several calls from this number saying that they are the "publishers". They also tell me to not renew with any other callers besides them. The said that my subscription to Soap Opera Digest was for 60 months! I told them I NEVER agreed to any subscription for 60 months. Once I said that, she said that her supervisor would call me back and to please give her a good rating since she was up for a promotion. I repeated that I did not sign up for any magazine for 60 months and she hung up.
About a week later, her supervisor called back. I told her the same thing, that I hadn't agreed to any magazine for 60 months and she hung up too. They just called again, but I saw the number and didn't answer.... Total SCAM!

I got a call from this company 9PM last night.  Very demanding wanting my credit card number or bank account number.  Also wanted to know my age and working status.  Told them I would not give them any credit card or bank info until I received something in writing from them.  They got nasty and said they were turning me over to the collection agency.  Told me I had a three year soap digest subscription, two years of which were free.  Really had me upset. I called Soap Digest and reported the call to Soap Digest, with their phone number.  Caller ID said Power Sales with the number as above.

just got a call from 720-398-9661.  It is 10:30 p.m. and this #  just called and asked for my wife. I told the caller that she was sleeping which she was and he said he will call back. I am sure it is a magazine company, they call all the time.

I've been getting magazines I've never ordered for several months now.  I've called the publishers of the magazines and they say they can't cancel because they are sent through a service.  This service called tonight to tell me not to renew any of my subscriptions through the publishers. They told me that they couldn't tell me which magazines they are sending but could say whether or not it was from them if I told them the magazine (??!!).  They say they have my information and that I owe for the magazines I never ordered (Working Mother? I'm not even a mother!). I asked the name of the company and how I could reach them.  The supervisor said the name is 'Readers Services' and when I asked for a number where I could reach them she informed me that they do not accept incoming calls so I have no way to reach them. When I asked her when I signed up for this service and what account information they have she hung up on me. There is something seriously suspicious about this and if I get billed I'll be fighting it.  Anyone else had this experience?

i;ve been getting the same phone number/caller id info.  They told me they were with "Publisher's" and proceeded to tell me how I shouldn't accept any offers from any companies to renew my soap opera digest subscription.  They said that I still had 12 months left.  I told them that I don't get that magazine anymore and that I'd let it purposely expire and didn't authorize any renewal.  She said her supervisor should be "pulling up (?!)" any minute and that she'd have her give me a call.  Still waiting on the callback.  I have no idea who these people really are, but I'd be cautious.

Got a call from this number at 8:45pm It said Coloardo on my caller id.I do not know anyone in that state.
