Just received a call from this number. I didnt
answer, and they left no message.  I receive at least one call a month from this number, or another, all with the same car warranty spam.  They only call on my cell phone.

I called this number back and it says I've reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service.  Google shows this number belonging to B. Brown at 2141 Olive St,  Denver, CO 80207.  Sounds like the number was cloned or something.  Maybe we should report this, but to whom? What about that "Do Not Call" registry.  Is that still active?

got a call from this number on my cell this morning at work. but my phone only has basic servioce so i don't have any caller id information, nor do i have the time to investigate. the info regarding the extended auto warranty is really scary, as both my brother and myself recently received mailings from some unheard of company indicating that the warranties on our cars is expiring and that we should contact them to extend the warranty, despite the fact that the mailing included no VIN/license/car info at all.

i ignored the call maybe 4 times before finally answering.  i don't have a driver's license let alone a car in my name with an expired warranty, and when i told them this they hung up on me right away and have not called back since.  So if they keep calling you, tell them that you don't even have a license let alone a car, and you'll no longer be applicable to their car warranty scam and will stop calling

The next time they call, i'm going to get put through to a person again, only this time instead of asking how they got my number, I'm just going to calming inform the person that I'm going to rape them.  I feel this will alarm them enough that they may contact law enforcement, at which time I might actually be able to get answers as to who/where these people are.   ... or I'll rape them.  Whatevs.

Got one myself (one of MANY!) But what pisses me off much more than the telescum, and the answerscum who enable them ("Why, oh yes, I'll buy one of those"), is the phone companies that ALLOW caller id spoofing because it puts money in their pocket. I worked for a phone company, and if they wanted to, they could stop spoofing (hell, teleannoying could be stopped). Decades ago, when people started spoofing long distance calls, the telco took steps and stopped it cold. In this digital age, it is clear that telcos are taking steps to ALLOW this spoofing to line their pockets at our expense (I pay per minute for my cell phone).

Missed a call from this number on my cell earlier today. I know no one in Colorado, so I googled it and came across this site. I've received several calls from different states in the past few months informing me that the warranty on my car is expired. I'd like to find out how they're getting these phone numbers and stop it. If it is someone I actually do business with, I will be livid.

Didn't answer the phone because I suspected it was spammers/con artists calling with a spoofed phone number for Caller ID. (They often spoof various phone numbers and the rest of the time send no Caller ID info.) John's comments confirm this. It's their standard recording. Just answering the call encourages them to call up to twice per day. If you respond by pressing 1, 2, or 3 (to be tranferred to an operator, to be dropped from their list, and I forget what the other option is), they call even more. If you don't answer the phone, they call once a month to twice a week. Don't try to call them back at the Caller ID number. Since it is spoofed, you will call the unfortunate actual owner of the number who has nothing to do with this scam. From what I've read on website like this one in the past regarding their past spoofed numbers, the actual owner of the number the scammers spoof is flooded with phone calls from people angry at the spammers.

These scammers have their computer call all over the U.S., giving no Caller ID or a spoofed ID. If someone answers the phone, the computer plays the recording. If you select the option to be transferred to an operator, you will be transferred to someone who askes for a lot of info about you and your car, but is very relectant or unwilling to give you info about them or the shady business they work for, including the name of the business (if asked, they say "car warranties," which is a vague and somewhat inaccurate description of what business they're in, not the name of the company). If you give them info, they transfer you to someone (different business) who sells extended car warranties in your area. These people probably have some contact info for the shady business (and probably doesn't know about their illegal tactics), so if you want to report the spammers, politely inform the warranty salesperson about the tactics of the referral service (the spammers who refer you to the waranty salesperson). Get contact info for the spammers so you can report them to the Federal Trade Commission, as well as the waranty sales business's information, in case the FTC has questions to ask them in their investigation.

Just recieved a call from this number, and didn't answer, figured it was some scam. Apparently it was. The FTC and Attorney's General need to do something with these people. I even get the blasted calls on my cell, and both numbers are on the do not call list, not to mention both are non-public numbers.

these calls are illegal, and each time they call you they owe you 500 or more dollars. I have tried to get them to give me information about themselves, but if you ask questions they hang up.
