I'll just cut and paste the above messages as I have been receiving the same scripted message for a couple weeks now.  Some are from different numbers, some use different names but this is pretty much the same thing I experienced a couple years back with the Indian/Pakistani people (Officer Charles Brown, etc.) but using American people now so they are easier to understand but just as confrontational, rude and abusive.

The current one is from (Clarance?) Thomas from Process and Summons Division (but no company name - some of the callers don't even know the name of the company they work for) and they will contact my human resources department.  Looking for a current home and business address to serve.  Gave a case # adn said to call back at 720-446-0649 and my "case number" is L17826.  Said this is our third attempt, good luck in court.  Then hung up.
I have also recently been recieving messages from some people who have been telling me similar things about how they will see me in court and so forth, and other messages that tell me that they have gone ahead and filed additional charges "in your county" of fraud and something else (I can't remember off hand), but they offer no solid information.

Oh, and I work in law enforcement and have access to several LE-only systems that allow me to check state court records and documents and there has been absolutely nothing listed to my name or "in your county."  I haven't mentioned that to them at all but I HAVE mentioned to them when I feel like calling them back that they are committing ID theft and criminal impersonation every time they make a call and lie about their own identity.  It's fun to string them along on the phone and have them tell YOU to verify information that they already have.  Don't offer ANYTHING to them or give them ANY information.  I found it interesting that they spilled information about the entire "account/complaint" they had against me without even verifying that it was really me that they were speaking to.  That in and of itself is illegal so you know that not one word coming out of their mouths is worth

Short answer, don't worry about these morons and DON'T give them a cent, any information or any documentation at all (about your identity, your bank account information, etc.) and don't verify anything they ask you to.  Report them immediately to the Feds (FTC and FBI), your bank AND your local law enforcement.  With law enforcement, you might not be an actual "victim" of anything yet (monetary loss, ID theft, etc.) but you CAN request them to take a suspicious incident report if nothing else.  THEN report them to EVERY site like these so the public knows what's going on as well.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I have received the same call coming from the same person but calling from the 720-446-0649 and 804-482-4030 number.  I've gotten these calls before regarding payday loans that I never took out.

I just got this call same as Jones and Catwoman.  I just received a msg at work from this numbers stating they are Class Thomas from Process and Summons Division and they will contact my human resources department.  Looking for a current home and business address to serve.  Gave a case # adn said to call back at 720-446-0649.  Said this is our third attempt, good luck in court.  Then hung up.   Is this legit or another scam?  Thanks.

I just got the same call as Jones.  This must be a scam.  I have been receiving these types of calls from different numbers over the last month.  Please stop them!  This is so upsetting, and they have all of my information.  They need to be reported to the FTC!  My cell phone showed this number coming from Colorado.
