Live in South Africa but have been getting what may be telemarketing calls from this US number

Multiple employees of our law firm have been receiving recorded calls from this company and we are very interested in speaking with anyone who has been contacted by this number on their cell phone. You may be legally entitled to make those calls stop and potentially receive financial compensation.

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act is a federal law that makes it illegal for a company to use an auto-dialer to make a call to a cellphone without the prior written consent of the recipient. Businesses are allowed to call consumers at home using an auto-dialer, but not your cell phone. If prior consent was given, it can easily be withdrawn.

If the caller violates the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, there?s a penalty of $500 for each call, and if the caller knows he is violating the law, as most do, the penalty is $1,500. While you don?t always know if the call is coming from an automatic dialer, one hint is if you answer the phone and there?s a moment of silence. During this period the call is most likely being transferred from the automated service to a live person.

CAR INSERENS ANNOYED YAH they keep telling me that I am spending to much money on my car. I am under 16 I cant have a car ok ANNOYED OMG it is annoying I have NO car gosh they need to stop

I never answer calls from numbers that are not on my contact list. Why would I? No message was left either. Oh well, life goes on...lol.

This number has called me three dozen times and not one message.

Have not answered, but I have got several calls from this number, s  fea message that was just the sound of a someone typing on a keyboard & then call was done & message ended.

Was given the name Insurance Placement Center. The rep was rude and hung up on my when I asked questions about where they are calling from.

Insurance Placement Center was the name of the business given to me. The rep refused to answer any further questions and then hung up on me.

Wow, very smart. Calling a blind dude about auto insurance. I called back, and got a rep on the line, told them I can't even see so, i don't need that BS, and she told me that she will put me on the no-call list. Lets see if this is true. If not, then I'm gonna have fun with them.

Same thing as everyone else. I was left with a voice mail that had the last part of that standard message someone posted above, saying I'm paying too much for auto insurance. Called me twice at work within 1 minutes time. I have never called outside of the office on the phone- I always wonder how they get the numbers they do. I hope they don't continue to call...

Missed a call from this number, when I tried to call back, all I got was a message saying that there was no one available to take my call. These _______ don't even have the decency to pick up the phone after calling tons of people to harass them!

Called my cell number...I never answer any call that comes in without a name attached to it. No message is ever left so they are wasteing their time calling me...lol.

Had a call from this number, no message.

They called and left no message.  I looked them up online and called back to ask if they where at the address I had for them.  They hung up on me immediately.  I called back and got another agent, told them their address and suite number they where calling from, and said a few boys would be by later to take care of the situation.  Haven't heard from them since.  People shouldn't call strangers that don't know what we are unmoraly capable of doing to them.

got a call from this number on my cell. i have a limited number of minutes so i don't answer calls i don't recognize. i put my cell number on the do not call list....apparently it doesn't work.

Number keeps calling my young sons phone.  Called them twice to get their company name and ask them not to call anymore.  They hung up on me both times.  We'll just keep calling them.

got a call from them, robocall same as others explained.  I called back and asked how they got my number.  She said "we call all the residents, ma'am" and offered to put me on the do not call list.  No explanation.

They called me 2 minutes ago and didn't leave a message...RUDE! So I'll be posting the number on FB for everyone to call them and annoy them

They hung up on me, so I called back and asked we're they got
My information and they hung up. So to give them a taste of their own crap, I've been calling 7 or 8 times a day and they are finally getting really mad and asking me not to call anymore. Please, if you have free time throughout your day, call and press 1 then ask where they got your number. Then keep doing it.

Interesting I blocked my outbound caller ID and rang the phone number, I received a message that the number is no longer in service.  When I unblocked my outbound caller ID I received a message "your call will be monitored for quality assurance purposes".  Looks like their PBX is routing only identifiable numbers.
