Oh my god me too! I am selling a iPhone on Craigslist and he said he was from the marines and hopitilazed in New York and he wanted to ship it to his son and I said NO WAY NO HOW and he replied and said you will ship it or else but nothing happened!

I called this number after seeing an ad for a rental on Craigslist. Gorgeous house and couldn't believe the low rent. We emailed and texted back and forth and the guy seemed so nice and said he was working in Colorado, and just needed someone to take care of the house. He said he was a "man of God".   Yeah, right....he wanted me to send him $2,000 thru Western Union a.s.a.p.  Checked the tax records on-line and found these posts - big scammer!

Same thing just happen to me he wants to buy  my iphone and tall me axactly the same thing

I inquired about a rental house on Craigslist, which turned out to be a scam, and this is the number they gave me to call them at.  They said it was their Google voice number.  

I just got a text from the guy saying he was in Colorado working.
He was saying that he had a house for rent where I am now.
I'm glad I just happened to do a search for his number and found all this stuff. Thanks for your help guys.

So glad I saw this!! They wanted to buy my iPad, made some story up saying they were a marine in the hospital in New York. But they want it shipped to Nigeria?? And they txt me from two different numbers, one of which is from California..

Selling an iPhone on Craigslist... Received a text message asking if it was still for sale. I did not reply.

I'm selling an iPhone on Craigslist and got a hit from this number. He stated the same bull about being hospitalized in New York.. I told him I would help him out but he needed to call me first. I then gave him the Nebraska FBI phone number.

Yes I just got the same message this morning, saying they're in the Marines but on medical treatment in NY and wanted my item I put on Craigslist that was a brand new iPad shipped out to his son and would add $100 for shipping. I said no only local buyers that I hand to personally. They still insisted saying they'll send me money first and pay upfront. I said no only if their relative was local and could pick it up, there was no way in hell I'd ship out an iPad ... they never replied.

I got a text from this guy also. he claimed to be with the United States Marine Corps but was hospitalized in New York. I'm selling a laptop on Craigslist and he wanted to pay me an additional $200.00 over what i was selling the laptop for so that I could ship the product to his "son in West Africa". I goggled his phone number and saw Mark's message, then told him I thought he was in the business off scamming people. Needless to say he did not reply.

Scammers. Responded to Craigslist ad for iPhone then asked to ship it iraq and what not. beware.

I just got a text from the same number, I'm selling an Ipad mini on craigslist...

they said I am happy that your ITEM is still for sale.  They did not even know what I had for sale.  they said that they were currently out of town with fellow corps for boot camp and wanted me to ship it to his son.  Also that they would gladly pay $200 for the shipping. Its hard to belive how low people are and how easly they will try and steal from good hard working people.
