A woman called and said she was from my home warranty program (no name was given). I said "I don't have a home warranty." She then read off some weird address and asked me if she has the wrong address. I confirmed she did and she hung up.

I did not just fall off the turnip truck. I am certain that if I had said nothing about not having one, I would have been asked up upgrade, or confirm my address, etc. I believe this is a SCAM.

Damn, I am sick of these types of calls. Originally the No Call List helped, now they just ignore it.

Event Reminder
This was not an unwanted call.  I have 2-10 Homeowners Warranty and I have had it for 3 years now.  I have had one claim and it was paid without hassle.  It's time for my renewal so they were calling to go over my contract.  I have a coworker that also has the same company for her warranty too.  Her hot water heater went out and it needed to be replaced.  The person that came out gave a high estimate which was $100 more than the coverage by the warranty company.  She decided she wanted to choose who did the work so they paid her out the $500 warranty coverage and she got someone else to do it.  It was a no hassle situation for her also.  I have no regrets having the warranty.  I would much rather have a deductible and even a small cost compared to have to pay for a whole system, etc.  That's just my experience and opinion.

Home Warranty Company. Not even sure if this is the same worthless company that I got the free one year of supposed coverage from when I bought my house a year ago (which would not pay a cent towards work that had to be done) but they need to STOP CALLING ME.

Yes, we actually had a home warranty with them and they were very disappointing.  We will NOT renew.

Answered the first time they called, told them we'd discuss if we wanted to renew. Called back and told them we were not interested and to alleviate our number from their system. The lady I spoke with stated she would do so. I am still receiving weekly, sometimes daily calls. Lets see if the whistle treatment puts an end to this.

The seller of my house provided when I purchased and I will never renew. According to the paper work they provide more coverage for the first year to the home purchaser than they do under the renewal. I had a pipe break and toilet water run all over my basement, not covered with the excuse mainlines aren't covered. Then about six months later I had a carbon monoxide tester alarm go off. They sent out someone and he said the heat exchanger was cracked. They wouldn't cover it saying the furnace was to old. I asked if they did an inspection before issueing the warranty and they replied No. A year later after the original useless warranty expired they still have the gual to call and ask me to renew. They are one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company.

This is 2-10 home buyers warranty. It is a big bunch of BS. My ac system went on a fritz this summer and they sent a company to view my claim. The company they sent said I have to pay $3000 out of pocket to get my ac fixed. I told them to fluck off and jumped into my pool. A brand new unit for my house costs $1300. Go figure!

It's 2-10 Home Warranty.  I had a policy when I bought my house and I still use them.  They have been well worth the money for me.  I had a junky clothes dryer that they fixed for $50 co-pay several times.  I've had my plumbing fixed, my garage door, my dishwasher, my dryer and washer, my central heat, and my air conditioning.  I have never had a problem with them paying for any service person to fix what's covered in my policy.

For some of you who get multiple calls and wonder why they 'don't just get the hint'...why don't you just TELL them you're not interested?

The people who sold me my house included a 210 "home warranty".After a few months I needed to get a new furnace. They sent a guy out and said I had to pay him $90.He didn't even bring screw driver.he said he'd have to send someone else out. I called 210 and said I could get a local heating company. They said OK as long as he was licensed and insured. He is.He replaced my furnace, but they insisted they had to view the old one. they said there was nothing wrong with it.(It just didn't provide heat - what else should a furnace do?) They sent two more of their experts out, the  last one even brought tools in a neat little leather bag.
I was able to find a phone number for the owner of the 210 local office. She answered the phone with "Hi" honestly she did "the number you have reached is not in service at this time".

Buyer beware!  Total scam, even with the cintractin hand they honor NOTHING!
They will tell you to the co-payment then deny Any & All work. I wrotecomplsint letters, emails, multiplephone calls. When their Contract (finally) expired, I waitedgor their renewal phone call when I explained why I would NEVER give them oneida penny they reviewed the account they said that indeed some of my claims should definitely been covered (finally) so when I asked for a refund I was told that could only happen if I renewed then each claim would be reviewed and there was no guarantee that I'd get a refund.  I hung up.   $$AVE Your money.

This number is from 2-10 Warranty Company. We also had this warranty when we bought our home. We attempted to file a claim but as another person said, they never fix anything. They are the worst warranty company in the universe. I have filed a complaint with the BBB against them as well. I have spoken with them and told them not to call my home ever again but they continue to call. I hate to be rude but if they continue to call I will be loud and rude.

Yet another illegal solicitation from a company I have no relationship with, and never will; being on the DNC list means nothing, since most companies just ignore it, calling their invasion of your privacy "courtesy" calls, "surverys" and "referrals". Well guess what; I don't do business with losers who bother me at home.  Best thing I ever did was turn the ringer off on my phone and when someone calls & it lights up, I glance at it and ignore 99% of what comes in.  Thinking about just dumping the phone all together...the only calls I get at home are scammers and solicitors, so why pay every month.

Thanks for all the messages posted here ... I'm glad I googled this number ... now I know who is calling and why ... we got our home warranty about a year ago when we bought the house, so I guess the policy is up for renewal. We haven't had any reason to call them and I hadn't intended on renewing the policy anyway. These messages have helped me a great deal.

I have received missed calls on my cell from this number for over 2 months now. About every 3 days I get a call from them (and I've never answered) and they have never left a message. Strange thing is they call anywhere from 9 in the morning until 9 at night. Reverse-phone info through Google reveals they are a landline out of Denver, CO. I noticed someone else on this website posted 2-10 Homebuyers Warranty. This is a company we used for our Homeowners Insurance until about 6 months ago so I don't think it's a scam or anything, I think they must want me back as a customer and are willing to harrass me by phone to attempt to do so. By the way, I would NEVER recommend 2-10 Homebuyers Warranty to anyone (not because of the persisitant phone calls), but because they lied to me over and over and never returned service calls when our a/c and heat pump went out last summer. We had no a/c  for 15 weeks because we kept getting the runaround from this company. I guess they have their phone people concentrated in telemarketing, rather than in customer service, which is a shame.

Two calls received from a male caller claiming they are our warranty on our home.  These people are terrible people.  Listen to the advise previously given and do the research.  They like to take your money, but there is very little they will pay for when you need them.  And the people they send out to supposedly fix your problem, do not do that at all.  Listen to me.  I lived through it.  Save your money, it is not worth a plug nickel.  We did not renew and still they call claiming to be our warranty coverage on our home.

These people keep calling.  It is Homebuyers Warranty.  They keep trying to sell us a warranty for our home.  The really bad thing is, we did some research on them and they have a terrible reputation.  So, if you are interested in what they have to say, do some research first.  They are a pain in the rear and won't stop calling us and we are on the "do not call list".

I got 3 phone calls from them within a few hours. 1 voice mail to my home phone, 1 to my cell, then again to my home, this time I picked up. A guy replied, asking me to renew my 2-10 policy. When I said I don't want to renew, he changed his voice immediately. Kept asking me "Why? But you CALLED us? You CALLED us to fixed the light!" Yeah, once! Just because I called you once years ago doesn't mean I have to be with this company forever.

He kept saying "But you CALLED us!" like that fact that I called them once meant a long-term commitment or something. Obviously trying make me feel guilty like I'm the one at fault. Maybe because I'm female and sound young? After 10 min. of saying practically the same thing over and over again, I told him I had to go. Even then he didn't want to hang up. Talk about high-presser sales calls! If I wanted a renewal, I'd have do that online or reply the letters they sent me. No need to call me a few times a day to pester me like that. Very disappointed in 2-10. I had not have a problem with them before but this just left a very bad taste

I think Checkcontents works for Homebuyers Warranty---I live on a military installation (no home ownership here!) and this number continues to call me.
Telemarketing, computer generating random numbers.  I too have had this number for a handful of years, and these calls have just begun.

At first I was concerned because I didn't recognize the number, but after reading this board I realize they called me because I asked them to.  My guess - someone is masking their number with that of a legitamate business 210 Home Warranty.  When they called me at home the other night I was busy to renew my warranty and asked that they call back on my cell phone.

I've gotten a call EVERY day for the past week from this number and it is starting to drive me insane.  I have never picked up because I figured it was some sort of phone spam, but they continue to call and never leave a message.  It's nice to know I'm not the only one, but at the same time it's frustrating because that means they are harrassing everyone. ugh!

The call is legit, but annoying, I agree.  I did have a 2-10 Home Warranty that just expired and they are calling to get me to renew.  Maybe they are really dense, but no, I do not want to renew.  I logged into my warranty online and updated the phone number to my work fax number.  Heheheh
